GLOBE TYPE CONTROL VALVES

ANSI/ISA 75.01.01 Globe Type Control Valves are used for regulating and throttling
& ASME B16.34 the flow to achieve required flow capatiy and pressure drop.
Control valves can be used proportional and open/closed. It has
different types of cage and plug. Shape of the cage holes and plug

Bolted Bonnet energy, lighter actuator will be sufficient. Vastas recommends

orifice and stroke sizes. Vastas calculates these dimensions
Rising Stem according to ANSI/ISA 75.01.01(Flow Equations of Control Valve)
and ANSI/ISA 75.02.01(Control Valve Capacity Test Procedures) .

Disc for Throttling Vastas supplies customer-specific design via its own flow test
and Open/Close laboratory and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Software.
Control valves are tested according to ANSI/FCI 70.02 (Control
Soft or Metal to Valve Seat Leakage) and determined leakage class. Vastas
Metal Seat Faces produce different seat designs which are soft seat and metal to
metal seat, according to leakage class of customer request.
Globe Type Control Valves are produced with steel body and
SWG or RTJ Gasket
API Trim No. 8 as standard, ends being flanged to ASME B16.5
Between Body and
or Buttwelding to ASME B16.25 and Face to Face Dimensions
Bonnet
complying with ASME B16.10 standard. Mating Flanges (WN),
Fasteners (2H&B7) and Gaskets (SWG) are supplied upon request.
Different Types of Vastas gaskets for sealing of flanged connections are made of
Stem Packing upon non-asbestos materials and are fireproof even for 150 class, spiral
request wounded 316SS & Graphite or RJ type for higher classes.

Applications
Globe Type Control Valves are used various
applications especially for service purposes at all
industrial plants, water, steam and oil lines. Not
recommended for fluids carrying mud, solid particles
and grains. The pressure/temperature ratings,
shocks/vibrations and corrosion of the flowing fluid
are to be considered during selection of valve.

Vastas applies epoxy paint system for valves to be

located above ground / on shore with RAL7037
Aluminium color as standard.
Special paint systems can be applied according to
customer’s request;
- for Offshore / corrosive atmosphere, ISO 12944
C5M certified paint system
- Heat Resistant paint system up to 538°C
- NORSOK 7B certified paint system for Submerged
Valves
- PUR coating for valves to be used underground.

High Temperature
Globe Type Control Valve with Pneumatic Actuator
Valves made of special alloyed steel are offered for
high temperatures between 425°C an 593°C.

Stellite™
CoCr-A faced seat faces are offered for high
temperature valves upon request.

Linear Cage

The percentage of the flow rate is increased as

linear according to the plug travel.

Quick Cage
Maximum change in the flow rate is provided in the
beginning of lift.

Equal Cage
The flow is increased with the same percentage in
every plug travel.

Cavity Control Cage

Noise and cavitation are minimized due to the hole
design. This design is used at high pressure drop
cases.
