Basic Pattern

History:

Gerard had a son with Lara Chantriss. Events around the reign of Regent Eric in the passage to his tenure
as such concerned Gerard.

Gerard assigned a trusted member of his crew Hugo and his wife Lana to raise the child on Earth in
relative safety (because everyone else’s attention was directed elsewhere on Earth). Kal grew up and was
the highest caliber young man in his community in Wyoming. He went through High School and College
and then into the military. The young football star became a Navy Seal. During one mission that was
going horribly wrong he fell away from his crew. At the bottom of the sea he was found by Lady Lori of
Rebma, a aid to princess Llewella.

Llewella took Kal under her care. This was a matter that his father didn’t approve of but events in Amber
were such that Gerard saw him being fostered by Llewella as a good way to keep his son safe. He walked
the Pattern in Rebma and was presented to Gerard during his tenure as regent of Amber. Kal served in
the guard and military assigned to the Kolvir region. It took time for the Navy Seal education to integrate
with the education of Amber’s military but he was able to bring it all together.

Kal in the reign of King Random has been assigned to the Honor Guard for the King and Prince Martin.
But he is a soldier not a security guard. While he is willing to do his duty he has been starting to develop
a sense of Wanderlust
