Advanced Practice Nurse Business Planning from a Systemic Approach

Advanced Practice Nurses' eye towards independency and innovation in building

healthcare systems that meet affordability, safety, and patient-centered care. Communities have

individual requisites for exemplary healthcare services that are affordable and reliable. With the

increase in population, primary healthcare demands also increase, creating the need for several

independent healthcare providers. The emphasis, in this case, is on practice overseen by

advanced practice nurses, although it is imperative that all the advanced practice nurses

employed or employees depict awareness. The aspect of patient care is hypothesized as inclusive

of both the indirect and direct procedures, whose primary mandate is ensuring the required

results of patients are met. To succeed in the invention of independent health services, APNs

must have a plan that considers a systemic approach. There are several steps that an APN

wishing to venture into an independent business association must follow in developing a

business plan based on a systemic approach.

Systemic approach processes involve direct and indirect practices. APNs should take

both strategies for proper healthcare system management. The principles of practice management

advocate that the APNs are satisfied and can provide independent health care in indirect and

direct processes. Natural processes are inclusive of recording patients and documenting

populations. APNs should have a high -level missions, visions, and values for the business

planning process. Their mission and vision communicate to patients and funders the existence of

independent healthcare practices and what the future entails. The values aim at recognizing the

concept of APN practices for nursing. Moreover, the APN entrepreneur should have the ability

and capability of self-awareness of sustainability and objectives for the practice. The business

process for the APNs to venture into independent health care must incorporate and derive the

objectives, mission, and vision process execution (Hahn & Cook, 2018).

The second step involves the indirect processes to support the activities of the planning

process. They are inclusive of the operation and management structure, which vouches for

achieving their goals. The planning includes creating a business profile, the business

administrators to manage resources, and clinical Advisors to maintain obliged primary health

care practice to patients. APNs should consider that creating a business profile is crucial for the

APN entrepreneur-marketing plan. APN involvement in an independent private venture executes

the entire practice of the APN nurse to their skills and license (Hahn & Cook, 2018). External

regulatory bodies will be included to ensure the planning process complies with the standards

and regulations for private-sector healthcare practices (Conover & Richards, 2015).

The planning process is necessary for laying down the business strategies and goals.

APNs focus entirely on their objectives and plans when applying a proper business plan.

Through the planning practice, APNs can secure funding from organizations and the community

to help in setting up the private primary health care practice.
