The Art of Preserving Nature

SYNOPSIS
"The art of preserving nature" is the most suitable title I could think of because its idea
underpins the subject "eco printing". The transfer of colors and patterns of leaves but also
flowers onto the cloth are what eco-printing is all about. The primary justification for
functioning on this idea is that it hasn't until now been presented in Pakistan, and I wanted to
discover it by utilizing various techniques with leaves and flowers. The other notion I combined
with eco-printing was 'Biophilia,' as individuals these days have great affection and adore for
plantations. We combined such two ideas to improve the ecosystem and the future of
architecture and as well as the arts. Plants and leaves can be added to walls, interior styling,
and rooftops. The organic pigments utilized in this project are derived from fruits, vegetables,
and spices, along with mordants for fixing. Because just several, if any, chemicals have been
used, and the finest outcomes are accomplished on cloth, the environment is far quite eco-
friendly than numerous of our advanced dying/production techniques - good for you and good
for the world. If all of us in the printing economy start glancing for a ground for transformation
in our backyards and band together to perform for a stronger globe, there will be no losers: we,
the manufacturing representatives, will benefit, our consumers will benefit, and the planet will
benefit. It is critical to accomplish sustainability, which means preserving a definite rate and
threshold of organic assets so that they can be depleted too quickly and aiding in the
maintenance of the ecological system.
Product development
In my techniques, I primarily use leaves as imprints. Initially, I created a catalog in which I show
all of the eco-printing samples, and all of the methods I used to obtain optimal results by
utilizing chemicals and dyes. Then, tactile and non-tactile samples were created to show the
internal detail & structure of the leaves. Such samples were created using tissues, modeling
pastes, and a touch of embroidery and surface embellishment. Raisin was also utilized to give it
a leafy structure. Following that, storyboards were created where samples of eco-printing were
displayed, techniques have been used in each of them, surface embellishment was done, and
they were appropriately framed. The first product is the Separator wall, which was created
using various techniques to create textures of leaves and essential details such as veins and
other parts. The second product I made is a seater with eco-printing cushioning. The eco
printing is completed by me, utilizing organic leaves, and managed to carry through the
environmental printing techniques. The following item is a lamp. They are three in amount, and
the idea demonstrated in this was the internal structure and detailed design of leaves. The final
product is glass terrariums, and they are used to display indoor plants and other decorative
items.
