Eco- friendly bird feeder

WHY DID WE CHOOSE TO MAKE A BIRD FEEDER
Many of us around the world have set up bird feeders in our backyards, providing year-
round nourishment for wild birds. In exchange, as wanna-be naturalists, we get to witness
nature up close and enjoy the company of backyard inhabitants who otherwise would
remain hidden in the treetops. Some take it a step further by setting up several types of
feeders and a water source and planting natural, native vegetation in their gardens. When
we take the time to transform our yards into backyard bird habitats, we create ideal mini-
ecosystems in which nature can flourish. Within these sanctuaries, birds can safely and
reliably find the things they need to stay happy and healthy. Along with the birds come
other critters. The local chipmunk and squirrel populations usually enjoy a well-stocked
feeder as well, often much to the chagrin of the property owner. It’s hard to imagine the
number of animals that must benefit from this feeding arrangement. Making our backyards
as bird-friendly as possible seems, on the surface, a smart ecological decision, and one of
the easiest things we can do to set right some of the damage we bumbling humans have
done to this planet.
WHY DID WE CHOOSE TO MAKE A BIRD FEEDER
An eco friendly bird feeder is something we thought
along with helping the environment
will help birds thrive. Providing food to birds and animals
is a way of giving back to mother
nature herself, after everything she has provided us
with. Birds play a huge part in pollination hence our
ecosystem and so by
feeding birds , we are helping them, and plants grow,
and thrive. It is also an innovative way
of making use of the daily waste we throw away like
plastic bottles and chips packets.
FUN FACT :
The more shiny a certain
plastic is, the harder it is for
it
to decompose. Hence we
used chips packet to
decorate
the bowl of our bird feeder
rather than wasting paper.

DESIGN OF ECO FRIENDLY BIRD FEEDER

Something special about our design was that we used a more

eco friendly and ecological was to create our design
We avoided wasting paper and instead used technology and
digital art to make our design.
There are many steps being taken to save trees like eco friendly
paper and writing tablets

Art Galleries

Due to the distance, we were not able to visit an art

gallery offline, but with the help of technology and the
internet, we were able to explore art many art galleries
around the world, from the comfort of our homes. We
visited an online art gallery, virtual art galleries and even
got in contact with artist Mr. Brijesh Upadhyay , Ms.
Pavitra Tandon and artisan Ms. Jigna Joshi. We got to
interview her and see some of her eco friendly and
recycled crafts

Promoting our product

Through the magic of the internet we were

able to reach out to a larger number of people
and spread our message with the help of our
product. We used social media to promote
our topic along with our bird feeder.
We got a positive response from the viewers
and were able to send out a message to many
people.
Promoting our product
With this research we were indeed able to inculcate
and spread various ideas about how to go green and
make use of the daily products that go to waste.
While the research, we were able to get a deeper
insight on eco friendly crafts and challenges faced
while making them. Speaking to different artists,
artisans we learnt many facts about the eco friendly
world. The research made us appreciate the art of
ecological and eco friendly crafts to help the
environment. Moreover, we were also exposed to
how we can modify something like a bird feeder into
something which is created with an eye for our
environment. Promoting our product helped us
reach out to a larger number of people and explore
the eco friendly and ecological world with them.
We were exposed to new ways of making use of
plastics and recycling products in a way we can
make it useful for the ecosystem simultaneously.
To conclude, the research to us on a knowledgeable
and insightful tour on recycling, reusing and
reducing by making an eco friendly craft and
speaking to experts in the field.
