Description:
Knowledge is one of management research's most contentious and ill-defined concepts
(Barley et al., 2018). It is widely regarded as necessary for superior performance and
competitive advantage (Davenport, 1998; Nahapiet and Ghoshal, 1998). Understanding
knowledge management presents a unique and complex challenge when conducting research
in family businesses. Transferring knowledge between generations during successions is

2
difficult, but necessary for a smooth transition. We keep hoping to address the following
research questions in this review which is "How do you manage knowledge across generation
to generation in a family business?" We show how the disparate findings from our integrative
review open up new possibilities for designing primary research and lay the groundwork for
new theory. We assume that family-related knowledge is an important but understudied area.
We argue that strictly adhering to the tenets of various theoretical stances is essential for
furthering our understanding of knowledge in family business literature.

Description:
Since it can help a company adapt to a competitive environment and set the groundwork for
performance enhancement, leadership has a part to play in organizational flexibility
(Anning-Dorson, 2021). There aren't many empirical studies on the influence of leadership on
organizational effectiveness and strategic flexibility, and it has been identified as a topic for
further study. Regarding the function of leadership and its effect on corporate performance,
organizational and leadership theories diverge. Businesses should focus more on how they
may use leadership as an internal enabler to improve their capacity for flexibility. Talent
management is receiving more attention due to its ability to give organizations power.

Description:
Every company's competitiveness stems from the competitiveness of its business processes.
Business processes determine a company's quality, innovation, and productivity. The core
business processes of a company contribute the most to the overall performance of the
company. If the core processes are innovative, the company's performance will reflect this.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between core business process
controlling activities and risk-adjusted company performance measures. We tested the
hypothesis that the instrumental aspect of control, as a core process management activity,
has a statistically significant impact on the risk-adjusted performance of the company.

Description:
IT-based tools and practices are required for ambidextrous firms to translate new
technological opportunities into efficient business process optimization (Del Giudice et al.,
2015; Carayannis and Maggioni, 2017). SMFFs are an excellent place to start because they
are prevalent across all economic and social environments. The research seeks to discover
which characteristics may contribute to developing an ambidextrous state in BPM, which is
also supported by entrepreneurial IT talents and impacted by a stable but variable setting. It is
founded on dimensions extensively described in general management models (Pellicelli,
2014).

Description:
Sustainable development is a method of transformation that improves and protects the
environment while enhancing social well-being and bringing about a dynamic equilibrium
between social and economic factors. Future generations must be governed in a way that

7
ensures the integration and harmony of the social, economic, and environmental components.
Using a sustainable supply chain will give you an edge over your competitors. The goal of the
environmental component of sustainability is to use less energy and renewable resources.
With the least quantity of raw resources, inventory, and production expenses possible, the
economic element seeks to optimize earnings and product value.

Description:
This study is part of a larger research project called "When Risk Becomes a Chance: Risk
Management as a Decision-Making Process in SMEs." Dr. Crovini earned a research grant in
March 2017 as an outcome of a national public competition for young researchers sponsored
by the Italian Accounting Association SIDREA. The shift forward into constructivism and a
social approach produces new avenues for cross-disciplinary research. Each company's
decisions are frequently linked to risk (Kahneman et al., 1982). There is a scarcity of research
focusing on how SMEs consider and manage risks. We introduced a new model called
RM-DM, which stands for "risk management decision making," with the goal of providing an
alternate solution tool to support managerial activities dealing with risk management. The
paper provides the guidelines that are applicable to all SMEs in order to address risk culture
and business environment knowledge.

Description:
Family governance is typically examined through the lens of the family office (FO). Its primary
responsibility is to centralize the management of the family's assets, and its financial support
comes from the capital that the entrepreneurial family has often accumulated over several
generations (Rivo-Lopez et al., 2017, p. 262). For this reason, we think it's important to
understand the beginnings and development of FOs in order to comprehend and appreciate
them as they exist today. The theoretical paradigm that lends itself to the most effective
analysis of the idea and growth of family offices is the socioemotional wealth (SEW) approach
(FOs). Family members want to stay together, carry on the family legacy, protect the family
identity, and get back into family-related business by establishing a FO.

Description:
The effectiveness and efficiency of management in using a company's resources is reflected
in its financial success, which in turn affects the nation's economy as a whole. Poor financial
performance has contributed to the demise of various business divisions and enterprises in
Africa. Financial success can be significantly impacted by effective and efficient inventory
management. Choosing the appropriate quantity to order and store at a certain time is a key
component of inventory management. Holding too much inventory results in tied-up capital,
degradation, obsolescence, and inventory loss due to theft and robbery. Businesses must
account for the cyclical nature of client preferences while managing their inventory to prevent

12
overstocking products that could hurt their bottom line.

The employment of digital technologies to achieve just improved efficiency, economic

effectiveness, and competitive advantage is insufficient (Zhang et al., 2020). Current
circumstances necessitate larger economic and commercial model and model transformation
(Bagnoli, Massaro, Biloslavo, Bagnoli). Sustainable business models (SBMs) have fallen short
of their potential because they have been unable to compete within the confines of existing or
traditional business models. Smart technologies, such as big data and artificial intelligence,
have the ability to change this predicament (Piscicelli et al., 2018). The pursuit of proactive
tactics for establishing legitimacy is critical for the success of a company's Sustainable
Business Model (SBMI).

Description:
The concept of "grand challenges" has become a central concern for organizational scholars,
who are particularly interested in how organizations can contribute to addressing intractable
and persistent social problems. "Uncomfortable knowledge," according to Rayner (2012), is
knowledge that is disagreeable to individuals or organizations because it challenges their
value base or self-perception. There are concerns that "uncomfortable knowledge" is still on
the periphery of business school education. We discuss how various barriers to learning about
grand challenges emerge and affect one's ability to engage with the topic. We discuss the
consequences of these identified barriers for business education and conclude with
suggestions for further research.

Description:
I propose an organizing approach for theorizing and empiricism about talent management in
this chapter. I believe that debates about whether talent management should be inclusive or
exclusive increase the risk of fragmentation in our field. I identify four constructs that can aid
in the organization and categorization of our collective work: giftedness, talent, potential, and
strength. Each of these constructs corresponds logically to different talent philosophies and
practices.

Description:
This chapter's goal is to analyze what effective, growth-oriented small firms do for strategic
management and long-term planning in small businesses. The employment of an eccentrically
held "strategic planning and thinking framework" by more progressive owner managers in
their overall strategic control activity is a key point of attention. The research technique
emphasizes the necessity for a creative and unique research methodology to examine the
phenomenon and is supported and influenced by personal construct theory.

pandemic, which had an impact on all nations of the world both economically and socially. To
suit their wants, people have increased connection traffic on the internet, which has sped up
corporate digitization procedures. The need for new business/management techniques that
boost customer value for business managers has been made clear by this circumstance.

Description:
According to a prominent industry official, Malaysia's palm oil business would probably do
better in 2023 even if the average price of crude palm oil (CPO) will be lower than in 2022.
Since the third quarter of this year, CPO prices have fallen as a result of the high production
season, growing palm oil stockpiles, and falling soybean oil prices. Ahmed Parveez of MPOB
stated that 18.50 million tonnes of CPO should be produced this year, up from 18.12 million
tonnes in 2021, a minor rise of 2.1%. Due to the issue of labor scarcity, MPOB anticipates a
gradual recovery in palm oil output.

Description:
Inflation, which is officially defined as price increases across all categories of the Consumer
Price Index (CPI), has evolved in Malaysia from particular price increases in gasoline, utilities,
and food to general price increases. To shift their spending to more affordable choices,
consumers must use their power and fulfill their responsibility. Essential goods including eggs,
sugar, cooking oil, and wheat flour are in limited supply in Malaysia as a result of the country's
rising cost of living. This is partially due to producers' refusal or inability to provide at cheap
pricing. Although lifting price limits would result in higher pricing, it is a crucial step in
encouraging suppliers to increase their supply.
