Welcome to the recently inaugurated "Bharat Darshan Park" in Punjabi


Bagh, New Delhi, a tourist destination conceived by South Delhi
Municipal Corporation’s (SDMC). This park is spread in an area of more
than 8.5 acres. Bharat Darshan Park has replicas of monuments and
other heritage sites of India. The monuments inside the park are
constructed from abandoned vehicles and other waste materials. The
park has combined soothing music with at least 200 shades of dynamic
lights to amplify the beauty of each of thease replicas. The park has
facilities such as an amphitheatre for cultural events, a walking track of
1.5-km, fountains, and a pond.

Honorable Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated this park on


24th December 2021 and 25th December the birth anniversary of
Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee this park
has opened for public. Bharat Darshan Park has replicas of 21 famous
monuments including Gateway of India, Banyan Tree, Hawa Mahal, Gol
Gumbaz, Qutab Minar, Ruins of Nalanda University, Meenakshi Temple,
Badrinath Temple, Dwarkadhish Temple, Deep Stambh, Rameshwaram
Temple, Jagannath Puri Temple, Mahabat Mahal, Sanchi Stupa, Victoria
Memorial, Ruins of Hampi, Taj Mahal, Mysore Palace, Char Minar,
Konark Temple, Ajanta-Alora Caves, Khajuraho Temple and many other
heritage sites of India.

Gateway of India
Original Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

The Gateway of India is an early 20th-century iconic landmark built to


celebrate and honor the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India
in 1911. The uniqueness of the structure is its grand arch designed in

the Gupta emperors in 450 AD, the university complex was home to

meditation halls and classrooms. Today, the ruins of Nalanda are a
significant destination on the Buddha tourism circuit. The most iconic
surviving monument of Nalanda is the Great Stupa or the Sariputra
Stupa. Built in the 3rd century by Mauryan emperor Ashoka, the stupa
is shaped like a pyramid at the top.

Situated in Madurai, the Meenakshi Temple is the finest example of


Dravidian architecture. The temple has mythological and historical
significance and features "Ayiramkaal Mandapam" or the hall of
thousand pillars. Interestingly, these musical pillars, carved out of
stones, appear to be in a straight line when viewed at any angle and
when tapped, each of them produces a different musical note.
