4. Sufficient financial resources in Finland


 For the residence permit, you must have secure means of support. Secure means of support mean that you
have sufficient financial resources for living in Finland. The income requirement is EUR 1,000 per month and EUR
12,000 per year for one adult. In other words, you must have at least EUR 12,000 for a residence of one year. The
funds you need to have to meet the income requirement must be freely available to you, in your personal bank
account, for instance. For more information about sufficient financial resources, see migri.fi/en/income-requirement.

7. Processing of personal data


UMA system The information you have provided on this form will be recorded in the electronic case
management system (UMA) of the Finnish Immigration Service.

The UMA system is used for processing, decision-making in and monitoring of matters governed by
the Aliens Act and the Nationality Act. All documents related to the processing of your matter will
be filed in the UMA system. You can read more about the processing of your personal data and
your rights related to the processing in the privacy statement of the UMA system. You can read the
statement at migri.fi/en/data-protection or get a paper copy of the statement when you submit
your application.
