explore how to get to peace and justice through education and to find my role in this
process

Program Information
1. How you involved in this program in education for peace?
Firstly, I had participated as a documenter of SUOESU in the Film fest. and
Literary talks about Peace Education. Then, in Weekend course Batch-3 on campus
SUOE and in Intensive Batch-1in Pyin Oo Lwin. Later on after the first alunmni
gathering, I had co-organized an exhibition for E4P at the Union Day Funfair. I had
joined follow-ups and events of KMF. Since YPI has been formed up til now, I has
been a facilitator and coordinator in Weekend courses, Peace Tour Season 1 and 2,
Interfaith Study Tours, Peace Festivals and many other activities.

2. What are the first impressions and how do you feel?


Unusual training and worshop designs, family-type communication and contents of
learning are my first impressions and I was wonderful, awesome and joyful.

3. Has your life improved/changed? How?Why?


Both Visibly and Invisibly improved in my personalities as I could see the real
myself, enriched with invaluable knowledge and dispositions on my professional life
through experiential learnings not only by trainings but also by lots of my
engagement in this program. Leadership (also an effective follower’s skills),
communication, organizing and facilitation, emotional and financial management,
how to cooperate and support each other, and many other skills are developed and
improved as an informed and active citizenship.
4. How many activities have you involved (as a leader or participant)? Describe your
experience in this program.
I have involved in almost all activities of this program and Team YPI both as a
leader and as a participant. We worked together, supported one another, learned
from each other and stepped forwards with metta and mitta spirit despite the
emotional concerns. We all somtimes worked as hidden leaders and good followers,
as well.

5. What do you see yourself in the future?


I am sure I will be an educator and activist for social change who works for children
and community for educational development, equality, justice and peace in future.

6. What advice would you give to organization/project?


I appreciate all of your efforts for Peace Education and it is excellent and amazing
through years. But we must march together not only for advocacy on superiors but
also for the grassroots’ particiaption to reach our ultimate goals or even beyond. For
more effective implementation and sustability, it is better for the project/org to
improve networking and cooperation with local and international allies.
