IRFAN: Assalamualaikum and good evening, I’m Irfan Khairi from KPMIM Media Corporation and

you’re watching IM Reports. What was expected to be a great holiday turned into a horrific tragedy
as the house of a single mother of four was robbed the day before they returned from vacation.

Nor Asma, 46, a single mother of four children was devastated after she found out her house was
robbed when she returned from her vacation in Gambang at around four in the evening.

ASMA: I was in disbelief when my neighbor called me on the night of the incident when he told me
my house was robbed. I went on a four-day trip expecting to have fun with my children, but I didn’t
know things could go this way.

IRFAN: The entire neighborhood of Kampung Padang was in a state of shock after they heard the
news. In response, they have expressed their concerns about their safety and are urging law
enforcement to increase patrols and security measures. Many are now considering investing in home
security systems and participating in neighborhood watch programs to prevent future occurrences.

Witnesses said the incident happened at around three in the morning when Mohamad Khairi, 37,
claimed to have heard a loud bang at the back of his house followed by several noises of stuff
scattering all over the house. Mr. Khairi went ahead to check on what was going on in his neighbor’s
house through the window from his bedroom and saw a black SUV waiting suspiciously in front of
Mrs. Asma’s house. Mr. Khairi went on and continued to observe the scene and waited about half an
hour as his curiosity took over his mind. And sure enough, he spotted two men wearing all black with
masks on their face carrying what seemed to be huge bags filled with heavy things. They climbed
over the fence and went inside the SUV and quickly ran off the scene. Mr. Khairi quickly called the
police and also told Mrs. Asma about the incident.

KHAIRI: I was awakened by the loud bang I heard, and the scattering noises kept me intrigued, since I
knew nobody was home. And when I saw those two men, I knew this was a case of robbery.

Surveillance footage from neighboring homes are being examined as it might help in identifying the
culprits. Valuable belongings, including jewelry, electronics, and cash, were reported missing. The
estimated value of the stolen items is around RM20,000 and it might add up as the investigation
continues.

IM Reports will remain dedicated to bringing you the latest updates on this developing story. For
now, we encourage all residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
I’m Irfan Khairi from IM Reports, signing off.
