political, and religious interactions
between the East and West. The silk
road didn't just carry goods, and
commodities, but also culture and music.
A study was conducted about music
and the Silk Road by John Major.
He talks about how music was
shared along the silk road and what
happened because of that.
Many travelers along the Silk Road picked
up new styles of music from different
cultures. This caused the spread of musical
instruments and styles far beyond their
regions of origin. The silk roads were a
cultural melting pot of cultures from
around the world, and the sharing of music
was a big part of that.
