The presentation was good, but it was too lengthy and descriptive.
Although it covered quite a few topics and all the examples given in
the presentation were related.
From the presentation, I learned that the starting point of any
human resource management is the recruitment and selection
program. This program is essential as no further processes can be
done if there is no recruitment or selection. The recruitment and
selection program helps organizations to identify and hire the best
candidate for the job to be done. This is important as the success of
an organization depends largely on the quality of its workforce. By
implementing an effective recruitment and selection program,
organizations can attract and retain the best talent available in the
job market. This ensures that the organization can achieve its
objectives and goals efficiently and effectively.
Regarding the external research upon which the presentation is
based, the most relevant point to HR is that a good recruiting and
selection policy not only meets job criteria but also ensures that the
firm fulfills its responsibility of providing equal employment
opportunities to its employees. This is a crucial aspect that HR needs
to consider while formulating and implementing their recruitment
and selection policies.
Other comments. The presentation was well executed, however, there was a lack of
participation from some members of the group.
