Installation instruction
The allinone solution for PC peripherals
The multi-function panel is a new product that is equipped with multi-slot card reader,
thermal controlled fan speed, temperature display with alarm plus fan speed RPM reading D Mic cable x1 E Audio cable x1 F RCA video cable x1
and multi I/O ports connection.
The allinone is installed in 5 1/4" device bay. The multi-slot card reader addresses all the
popular memory cards.
All 4 memory-slots are active, which allows copy/transfer of data between the different
memory cards.
An over temperature alarm can be set.
An LCD shows 2 fan rpm's and monitors 2 temperature zones.
The multi I/O ports function in the front of a PC provides convenient cable connection,
including USB/IEEE1394/audio/video connectors/SATA power/SATA data. G PCI backplate x1 H Cable ties x3 I Screws and adhesive set x1

Installing the Panel Connecting the fan controller and temperature sensor

1) Remove the cover of an empty 5.25" 1) Connect the fan cable connector to J .

In auto mode, the fan speed will be controlled
automatically, please place the sensors in the
appropriate position.

NOTE :
Do not place the sensor between
the heatsink base and the CPU surface.
Place the sensor on the side of the heatsink
near the base.

M/B connections (internal and external)


NOTE : optional internal or external USB and IEEE 1349 connection is provided, choose internal or external
not both.
3) Place all other cables through the slot in G ,
place into an empty PCI slot and secure with screw.

Card Reader Driver installation LCD Instroduction

Minimum System Requirements Setting mode


▋Windows Fan speed indicator
▋Pentium class PC with USB support display
▋98SE, 2000, ME, XP, x64 Mode switch
▋CD-ROM drive indicator
▋USB 2.0 port required for Hi-Speed transfer.

Installation for Windows 98/SE/2000

1) Insert the driver CD into the CD-ROM drive.


2) Click the CD-ROM drive icon.
3) Follow the step of "Install Wizard" to install the "USB Card Reader Driver".
4) Click "Yes" to reboot the system.
5) Windows 98SE will detect it automatically
5-1 The pop-up window "Find new Hardware" will appear.
5-2 Wait for Windows 98SE to configure the card reader. When the installation (of the card reader
driver) is successful, this pop-up window will disappear automatically.
5-3 Open "my computer”. you'll see removable drives installed in your computer
5-4 The installation is completed.

Installation for Windows ME/XP/x64

▋No driver installation is required for ME/XP/x64. All necessary files are installed automatically.

Uninstall Driver

1) Please run the setup process again to uninstall the driver.


2) Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the process.
3) System would ask you to restart the computer, please choose “Yes, I want to restart my computer Fan working
now” restart your PC, the uninstall will be completed. display

For Windows 98SE Users
▋Before you remove your flash cards or reader, please wait for reader to stop accessing data on the display
flash card to prevent data loss.

For Windows ME/2000/XP/x64 Users


▋Please double click the icon on the system tray. A dialog box will appear.
▋Double click the Generic USB Storage Device to remove the device or cards, this prevents data loss. No fan installed display
Fan speed display "_____" → No fan installed or not working correctly.

Low speed or fan fail alarm


Back light red, fan speed blinking and alarm sound → Fan speed too low or fan faillure.
(The alram will stop after 25 sec. but back light will stay red and fan speed will blink until the problem
is fixed.)

Over heat alarm


Back light red, temperature blinking and alarm sound → Temperature higher than the temperature setting.
(The alarm will stop after 25 sec. but back light will stay red and fan speed will blink until the temperature
is lower than the temperature set).

Manual Mode

▋Press → switch fan1 / temp1 and fan2 / temp2.

▋Press , → adjust the fan speed.

2) Press → switch between fan1, fan2, temp1 and temp2.

1) Press for 2 sec → setup mode enabled.

NOTE :
the temperature alarm setting for each thermal sensor is set manually.
