Traffic has become a major problem in most metropolitan cities around the world.

The government has imposed a policy on the issue of limiting the number of cars
travelling through the city, in order to prompt public transportation as well as
alleviate the pollution from the city . The first reason for supporting the policy is
that it would be helpful in reducing the use of toxic fuels such as oil, gasoline, and
diesel. Fewer and fewer cars will be used in the city as people will opt to use
public transportation to commute to the city center instead of cars because of the
strict policy for car drivers in the city . If the government applies the excise on the
cars in the city, not only fewer toxic fumes are discharged in the city but public
amenities will also be encouraged. However, applying fees had drawbacks for the
automotive industries. Nowadays, most people save money until they could affort
to buy a car, that is why implementing this policy will significantly lessen the trend
of buying car . As a result, the car industry will see a sharp decline, which has a
huge impact on the nation's overall economy . Additionally, people have to depend
more on public transportation, they are unable to stop where they want, which is
extremely inconvenient. Therefore, there might be a strong wave of opposition
coming from populace. In a nutshell, I believe that the overpopulation charge is a
good initiative for promoting public facilities and lowering air pollution rather than
allowing private vehicles toenter the city and cause traffic jams.
