More than Gold

-Peter Jones A. Cabilas

Every day, they are what we see

Mothers who want us to be successful someday
They do everything and offer their life
Just to give us our needs and desires.
Sometimes, when they scold us
It seems offensive and brutal
Until then we realized
They only want us to value life

Back when we were young

they bathe us, feed us and carry us
with so much joy and happiness
they gave us their love and kindness
Now that we are old and wild
Are we treating them just, and right?
Think of them when they will be gone.
I am sure you’ll miss them one by one.

Our mothers are not just a parent

They are also our best friends
They are our confidant Who’ll never betray us.
While it is not too late my friend
Show your mom a lil respect
Treat them fair as you treat your friends
They dearly love you, but do you reciprocate?
