How Plants Grow

Making the plants grow all the way from seed to maturity is one of
gardening's most rewarding accomplishments. There are some basic steps to follow
in order to achieve this goal.

First. A seed bursts open when it settles in an ideal location with germination-
friendly conditions. Next the seed's embryo begins to develop into a seedling to
secure the plant in the ground, roots extend downward. Additionally, roots absorb
minerals and water and store food. Then the stem that extends upward from the
roots and provides water and nutrients to the rest of the plant is formed by a shoot
that grows upward. For the purpose of capturing sunlight, the stem also supports the
leaves. To produce energy for the plant through the process of photosynthesis,
leaves absorb sunlight.

Now you can see the result of the type of seed that you planted whether it
being a fruit bearing plant, flowers, and medicinal plants. For fruit bearing plants you
start to see little sprouts of fruits. For flowers you can start to see their petals after
their bud process. And for medicinal plants once they’re fully matured you can use
them because they contain substances that can be used for therapeutic purposes or
which are precursors for the synthesis of useful drugs.
