1.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Community based programs, health campaigns and the media play
a significant role in spreading information and raising awareness on
different health based issues most especially disease prevention and
health enhancement in large populations. They enable to influence
and change public opinion and behavior on an issue. With the
innovation development and advancement of science and
technology human life has been easier and comfortable to some
extend but new viruses diseases and bacteria have been/ spreading
in community and individual level. Human being has been facing
the great challenges to overcome such problems. in this regard,
personal hygiene, community health programs, awareness
campaign and diagnosis status of different diseases at community
level has been the matter of prime concern. Thus, the world's first
level community club Lions club of international has been playing
great role in awareness campaign worldwide. In this context, Lions
club of Baglung Kaligandaki, while conducting different
community based health related and other social welfare campaign.
Since, its establishment in 2019 A.D. is going to organize extensive
health campaign in Baglung Municipality Ward no.6 in
collaboration with Fewacity hospital Pokhara. We would like to
welcome all to attend the pr ram and get benefited from this
community level program where the physician and doctors will
appear for two days and will provide the opportunity of health
checkup.
2.BACKGROUND OF ORGANIZATION

2.1 Introduction of Mother club Lion club international

Lions Clubs International was founded in Evansville. Indiana on 24


October 1916 by William Perry Woods and subsequently evolved
as an international serve ice organization under The guidance and
supervision of its secretary, Melvin Jones. In 1917, Jones was a 38-
ycar-old Chicago business leader who told members of his
local business club they should reach beyond business issues and
address the betterment of their communities and the world. Jones'
group. he Business circle of Chicago, agreed. After contacting
similar groups around the United States, an
organizational meeting was held on June 7. 1917, in Chicago. the
Business Circle subsequently joined one of the invited groups. the
"International Association ot Lions Clubs" and at a national
convention held in Dallas. Texas, later that year. those who were
assembled: (1) adopted a Constitution. By-Laws. Code of Ethics
and an Emblem: (2) established as a main tenet "unselfish service
to others". (3) unanimously elected Woods as its first president,
electively securing his leadership for the first two y cars of the
existence of the international Association of Lions, and (4) selected
Jones to serve as the organization's secretary-treasurer. The Lions
motto is "We Serve". Local Tons Club programs include sight
conservation, hearing and speech conservation. diabetes awareness,
youth outreach. international relations. environmental issues, and
many other programs. The discussion of partisan politics and
sectarian religion is forbidden The LIONS acronym also stards tor
Iiberty. intelligence, Our Nations' Safety.

areas of need. These Global Causes present significant challenges
to humanity, and we believe it's our turn to meet them.

2.5. The stated purposes of Lions Clubs International are:


 To Organize, charter and supervise service clubs to be known
as Lions clubs.
 To Coordinate the activities and standardize the administration
of Lions clubs.
 To Create and foster a spirit of understanding among the
peoples of the world.
 To promote the principles of good government and good
citizenship.
 To Take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and
moral welfare of the community.
 To Unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship
and mutual understanding.
 To Provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of
public interest provided, however, that partisan politics and
sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.
 To Encourage service-minded people to serve their
community without personal financial reward, and to
encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in
commerce, industry, professions, public works and private
endeavors.

2.6. INTRODUCTION OF LIONS CLUB OF BAGLUNG


KALIGANDAKI

Lions club of Baglung Kaligandaki was established as a leading


club in Baglung in 2019 A.D. It was established with the effort of
youths of Baglung to work in the social field. Along with the
chartered president ship of Mr. Anup Rijal (MJF), this club was
established to address the problem inherent in community level
around Baglung. Now, the club has been working in community
level at the time of natural calamities and disasters. The club also
has conducted the different awareness program since its
establishment.

3. DESCRIPTION OF FOCAL PROBLEM


with the propensity of helping the people belonging to financially
unsound condition in regard to their health this club has come into
the conclusion of conducting a health camp. This will certainly be a
beneficial Endeavour to the people who failed to have access to
minimum health services.

4. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE HEALTH


CAMP

the Health camp will be held on 6th ashoj 2079 in baglung


municipality- 6. The Health camp will focus on providing services
on different key areas of health in the different areas of baglung
municipality 2,3,4,5,6,7,
 The Health camp will be beneficial to around 2000 people of
baglung municipality 2,3,4,5,6 and 7
 The Health Camp will be conducted in association with Fewa
city hospital pokhara.
 Health services concern with CARDIOLOGY, ORTHOPEDIC,
GENERAL SURGERY, GENERAL MEDICINE,
RADIOLOGY, E.N.T, UROLOGY, ANESTHESIA,
PATHOLOGY and DENTAL CARE.
 Service will be provided by the specialists in the concern areas
 The Health camp will be conduct by the LIONS CLUB OF
BAGLUNG KALIGANDAKI with the support of the baglung
municipality ward no.6.
 Services to be provided in health camp are:-

5. Objective of the Health camp


1) To provide general health services in the core areas of health.
2) To proved health services to disadvantaged people of Baglung
municipally
3) To distribute information related to communicable diseases.
4) To fulfill the object of lion year 2021/022.

6.Participation

This Health camp has been designed with the intensity of involving
the people belonging to financially unsound classes in regard to the
health related issues. They are expected to be benefitted from this
Health camp amidst the general health services since they are
believed to be deprived of meeting these requirements. So the
participants will be the people of economically disadvantaged
people of Baglaung Municipality 5,6,7
42 Coordination and Collaboration The Health camp collaborates
Fewa City Hospital, Pokhara especially for the medical experts and
technicians. Moreover, this Health camp will be cordially
coordinating the all concerned areas and personalities which
involve: Municipality.Ward Office, Local leaders then and now,
Intellectuals. political activists of this and all the local people who
come under tne canopy of this area.

8. KEY EXPECTED OUTPUT


 High knowledge possession by the general public about the
different mode of transmission, signs, symptoms and preventative
measures of corona virus

Baglung municipality 2,3,4,5,6,7
 More than 2000 people of baglung municipality 2,3,4,5,6,7 will be
beneficiated from this campaign
 Genreal Health Service will be graved by the disadvantaged people
leaving in this area.
