Dear Clients,

We refer to the above account and inform you that the term of the loan has expired, and currently reflects an
outstanding balance of R14955,73.

Please contact our call centre on 0860 11 1007 or visit one of our branches for the full settlement amount to reduce the
Mortgage Loan Account to a zero balance. Please note that interest will continue to be charged until the date on which
the account is settled in full.

Once your Mortgage Loan Account has been settled, please complete the attached Absa 1288 form (Instructions with
regard to the Mortgage Bond on settlement of a Home Loan).

You will need to provide us with the instruction to cancel the bond(s) as per the above form. The attorney will charge
cancellation fees to cancel the mortgage bond(s). You will be liable for these fees, which vary, depending on the number
of bonds registered over the property, which need to be cancelled. If you do not provide us with an instruction to proceed
with cancelling the bond once you have settled your loan, we will place the bond and title deed in safekeeping.

The completed Absa form can be sent to hlcan@absa.co.za or handed in at your nearest branch.

PLEASE NOTE THAT AS AT THE DATE OF THE SETTLEMENT OF THE HOME LOAN:

1. If you have a FlexiReserve facility on your Mortgage Loan Account, this facility will automatically be cancelled.
2. If you are insured with Absa Life (Life Cover) or Absa Insurance Company (Homeowner’s Property Insurance), and
your insurance premiums are currently paid from your Mortgage Loan Account, these premiums will no longer
be paid from your account. Please use one of the following insurance options:
• Convert the policy(ies) for the premium(s) to be paid from your transactional account; or
• Cancel the policy(ies) by notifying the insurer.

If you do not make alternate arrangements for payment of your Absa Life (Life Cover) or Absa Insurance Company

These policies will automatically lapse on their renewal date, if the premiums are paid annually, OR within 2 (two)
months from the date of this letter, if the premiums are paid monthly.
