PART 1

The presentation was about the use of color in architecture in two different parts of
the world, Mexico and the province of Asir in Saudi Arabia. In Mexico, the architect
Luis Barragán was famous for his use of Bright colors in his buildings. The Gardens
around the homes were also important to him. He wanted the homes he built to be
beautiful and Peaceful places for the people who lived there.

PART 2

The province of Asir in Saudi Arabia has a Special tradition

of painting houses with Colorful designs during the festival of Eid. The designs use
Shapes like triangles and squares in many different colors. The Women do the painting,
and they get a sense of pride from making their homes beautiful. Today people are
working to keep this Artistic tradition alive.
