Past Simple: TO BE (Trecutul verbului a fi)

PAST SIMPLE = trecutul simplu; arată o acțiune încheiată din trecut, momentul de timp fiind
precizat.

Afirmativ
I was = eu eram/am fost
You were = tu erai
She/he/it was = ea/el era
We were = noi eram
You were = voi erați
They were = ei/ele erau
Negativ
I wasn’t =nu eram/nu am fost
You weren’t = tu nu erai
She/he/it wasn’t = ea/el nu era
We weren’t = noi nu eram
You weren’t = voi nu erați
They weren’t = ei/ele nu erau
Interogativ
Was I? = eram eu?
Were you? = erai tu?
Was she? Was he? = era ea/el?
Were we? = eram noi?
Were you? = erați voi?
Were they? = erau ei/ele?

1. I wasn’t in London during the holidays. = Nu eram în Londra în vacanță.

4. Tom wasn’t in my class two years ago. = Tom nu era în clasă cu mine acum 2 ani.
5. That book wasn’t really good. = Carte aceea nu a fost tare bună.
6. Sam and I weren’t at Lucy’s party on Saturday. = Sam și cu mine nu am fost la petrecerea lui

7. They weren’t 10 years old in 1999. = Ei nu aveau 10 ani în 1999.
