Anette Garlond Ayukawa Junko
Anette was allways called a young promise. At
seventeen she has surpassed many veteran pilots
in combat trials and she displays a reckless audac-
ity that many would call insane.
She throws herself like a beast after what she wants
to achieve, there is no goal far enough or risk too
high that Garlond is not willing to take. Despite
what many believe, it is not about arrogance, the
young Canadian knows well her strengths and
weaknesses, but she fervently believes in the
words of her father, a soldier missing in action ten
years ago. “Don’t ask. Get it for yourself. Do it
and you will succeed.”
Since she was a child, Anette has repeated like a
mantra the words that her father said to her the
last time she saw him and has put them into prac-
tice in all facets of her life. Anette does not expect
anyone to open any door for her, she knows that
things that are worthwhile are also worth fighting
for. She knows that she has earned each and every
victory that she has achieved, she knows that the
only way is to stand up for what is right, fight for it
and make her own way. She seeks to find out what
happened to her father.
Special: Sagara fought alongside her father, Cid,
he could reveal to her that his disappearance is re-
lated to the investigation of Ceres.

The Ayukawa zaibatsu is one of the most powerful in
Imperial Japan, involved in the construction of mil-
itary and sports mechs, fashion, sports equipment,
etc. As heir to her family, much was expected of her,
and she has been trained by the most demanding
teachers in corporate, social and technological fields.
Junko caused an uproar when she stated that she
wanted to pursue a career in the Global Army while
she was still in college. Someone like Junko does
not need to make a path on army for herself, the
name of her zaibatsu is already a master key. But
you can’t argue with someone like Junko and win.
She is an elite student and a born leader, there is no
path she takes that she is not able to travel faster and
better than anyone. Perhaps due to the ease with
which she faces the greatest challenges, Ayukawa
is so unsympathetic with the failures of others, with
the lack of determination and aspirations, and the
inability to solve her problems. She does not under-
stand surrender or passivity, whoever is down is be-
cause they want to be down, or lacks the necessary
motivation and spirit. For someone with her talents,
the path is clear.
Special: Junko yearns to improve society. This is
the way to gain power to challenge the corruption
of the Ayukawa zaibatsu and other corporations.
Nothing and no one will stop her master plan from
moving forward.
 Eric Karlsson
Eric doesn’t consider himself a bad guy. But he has
done some bad things. When you’re born into the
lower classes, and you survive scavenging corporate
buildings, you really learn how to outrun everyone
else so the private security can crack another head
instead yours. You don’t look back. You learn not to
look back. So there are no regrets, you don’t think
about those you leave behind.
Eric learned the bitter side of the Atlantic Repub-
lic in his native Sweden but was not intimidated by
bullies, he learned to side with them. He was not
convinced that his place was below, he learned to
open the back doors and climb up to where the mon-
ey was. At fifteen Eric was already up deep involved
into mob business, doing favors and moving hot
stuff around. He was where no one wanted to be,
dodging police shots as a hazmat courier. Piloting a
stolen sports mech transporting contraband, money
and dangerous guys across borders became a way of
life that brought great benefits... So ending up draft-
ed into the Global Army was a joke of fate. But it
was either that or the deepest hole in the Stockholm
prison. The choice was easy.
Special: Eric’s old associates see his “punishment”
as a chance for him to get them top military hard-
ware. Tengai is a secluded place but criminal organ-
izations have tentacles everywhere.
Jeong Dae Hyun
Dae Hyun’s mother is a highly decorated Comman-
der of the Korean Union, while his father occupies
a seat in the House of Government of the Union’s
meritocracy. Everyone expected the best from the
combination of two distinguished military linea-
ges. It didn’t go well. Dae Hyun grew into a spoiled
teenager, who believed he deserved the best just
because of who he was. He provoked continuous
fights due to his lack of teamwork or problems with
authority. His unit wanted nothing to do with him,
his officers demanded his expulsion... the arrogant
boy despised them, since they clearly just envy
him. They had none of what he had and they blamed
him for it. To hell with them... to hell with everyo-
ne! Then his mother cut off his access to the family
wealth. Money, houses, mechs, even his clothes...
nothing would be within his reach until he managed
to earn the respect of his companions. If he didn’t
get them to accept him, if he didn’t become a leader
at the level of his parents, then they wouldn’t call
him their son again.
The selection for the project in Tengai was the op-
portunity that the young Jeong had been waiting
for. This would put him in the point of view of the
entire planet, he would show his parents what he
was made of on his own terms.
Special: Dae Hyun has earned a bad name among
many soldiers, it is very likely that the base knows
about his past and troublesome behavior.
