I. Background of the Study
Financial support is one of the factors that students may attain higher
academic achievement. Parental financial availability can be a helpful tool for their
children's achievement in school. Financial support can help students fund their
education, pay for textbooks and materials, and reduce the need of working part-
time jobs allowing them to focus on their studies without worrying for their

background can help them in enhancing their academic performances. When they
are concern about the availability of learning material, as well as their daily upkeep
in school.
In enabling students to pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals.
This background study aims to explore the effects of financial support on students
and shed light on the various aspects of its impact. The impact of financial
assistance on students' academic performance, attendance, motivation, and overall
educational experience has been widely explored in research. This background
study aims to investigate the effects of financial support on the grade 10 PM
Session students at SINHS. Also to know how their parents' financial support helps
them for their studies and daily activities, how much they spend on a daily basis.

II. Statement of the Problem
Description:
Money is important in the world today, however the problem is that some people
have lots of it, and most people have less than enough. Most of the students are
facing a financial crisis because they do not have the knowledge on how to manage
their money. When students are facing a financial crisis, they would be facing a lot
of stress and could not concentrate on the lecturer which will bring impact to their
academic performance such as their grades and results and that will affect their

future when finding jobs.
This study aims to examine the effects of financial support provided to high school
students and its potential impact on various aspects of their lives. The focus will be
on evaluating the influence of financial assistance on academic performance of high
school students.
Research Questions:
1. How does financial support affect your studies?
2. How do you budget your finances?
3. Is your parent's financial support enough for you?
4. If not, are you able to borrow money from other people you know?

III. Significance of the Study
TEACHER
- In this research, teachers are informed how important the financial support that
they're giving to their children. So their children can have better academic
performance.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS
- In this research, the parents can understand that giving allowance to their
children can boost their motivation and can help them improve their academic
performance. Providing financial support to their children can also benefit them by
saving up their allowance so that they can buy their needs for academic purposes.
STUDENTS
- In this research, students can earn and save the money that their parents gave
them and learn how to budget their money. Enables a better understanding of how
financial assistance can mitigate these disparities, providing an equal opportunity
for all students to thrive academically.

IV.METHODOLOGY
A. RESEARCH DESIGN
It describes the condition of the financial support on academic performance of
Grade 10 PM session students at SINHS. This research design enables the
researcher to analyze the data collected through quantitative study and get

information about our respondents.
B. PARTICIPANTS/RESPONDENTS
Among the student population enrolled in Grade 10 pm in SINHS a total of 300
students, every section of pm session only 5 students were selected. And the
number of participants or the respondents are 39 students.
C. DATA GATHERING
Data was gathered by means of survey that were conducted in Grade 10 pm
session students at SINHS. We use Google form to collect data for the analysis
of some aspects. The advantage of Google form is students can answer without
visiting them or spending money to print out the survey.

D. STATISTICAL TREATMENT
According to the result of our survey, a significant majority of 12.10℅ said that
their financial support that given by their parents was enough while 3.13℅ said no.
We ask students how the financial support affect their academic performance,
11.71℅ said that it can provide their needs and 3.52℅ said that used it in proper
learning. Lastly, we ask them if are they saving money from the their financial,
10.54℅ said yes and 4.69℅ said no.

The researcher uses the Percentage Formula of Mendenhall & Sincich Method to
find the percentage of respondent in the survey given to students.

VI. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
A. CONCLUSION
The Effects of Financial Support on the Students of Grade 10 PM Students of
SINHS can have significant positive impacts on their educational attainment,

overall well-being, and prospects. Here are some key conclusions drawn from
research and observations:
1. Increased Access to Education

- This can lead students to have better access to education without concerning
their Financial problems. This information can give students a better view of having

it more affordable for individuals to pursue and access their educational goals.
2. Improved Academic Performance

- Financial support can positively impact students' academic performance. It
enables them to focus on their studies without the added stress of financial

concerns. With access to necessary resources, such as textbooks, materials, and
technology, students can fully engage in their learning, leading to improved grades
and educational outcomes.
In conclusion, financial support can be very beneficial to students especially those

who are struggling with their needs. This will inform the students to budget their
allowance so they can have enough to buy for their school-related needs.
B. RECOMMENDATION
Based on the conclusion drawn regarding the Effects of Financial Support on
the Students of Grade 10 PM Students of SINHS, the following recommendations
can be made to enhance the effectiveness of such support programs:

1. Giving enough financial support
- By simply giving enough financial can increase the academic performance of
your child. Also by giving enough financials students can save money from it and
use it for their own needs so that they will not ask you for money to provide it.
2. Budget your financial support wisely

- Wisely budget your financial support so you can save money and prevent
running out of money. Limit yourself by buying what you want and buying the
needs first.
