1. Senior Project Information


This project work shall be considered as a comprehensive work covering the application of tools, skills,
methodologies and techniques students have acquired in the courses of their studies in the College.
Students can get the chance to appreciate the importance of planning and managing the software
development process.
Students shall be made to work in a substantial practical team project drawn by the students
themselves mentored by the Advisor that may be assigned by the College. The first two weeks of the
term are used to identify project ideas and formulate project proposal, form teams and get approval
from the project coordinator.

2. Registration Requirements
All students ready to take Senior Project, a project work that incorporates Application package
development and Senior Essay/dissertation, are required to fill in and submit a ‘Senior Project
Commitment Form’.
No student will be accepted to the project before this Form is properly filled and accepted by the
College.
Students shall be accepted for Senior Project if they have completed the minimum requirements set by
the College.

3. College Procedures and Conditions


Students are expected to exhibit strong initiation and commitment in the implementation of all areas of
the Senior Essay. Students are required to adhere to the requirements of the project and guidelines
and also meet the schedule, which may not be relaxed by any measure. Students that are ready for
this project should read and agree to the following procedures and conditions of the College:

3.1. The Senior Project must be done on real-world problem(s) supported by field survey using various
data collection instruments.

3.2. The Advisor guides students on the principles of Software Engineering.

3.3. Students can take their project in a group whose size shall be determined depending upon the
size and complexity of the problem. Nevertheless, a group should not exceed four members.
Each member of the group individually and/or collectively is responsible for any incomplete work
and copy made from elsewhere that may be used in the project.

3.4. The Senior Group Project, which includes the Senior Essay, must be completed within sixteen
weeks from the commencement of the official Term week set by the academic calendar of the
college. The last two weeks of the sixteen weeks are project demonstration and defending times
by which students shall present their final senior essay findings to their Advisor and/or
Examiner(s).

3.5. Immediately after the conclusion of each Senior Project, the Team should contact their Advisor to
set the presentation date.

3.6. Each Team must provide, as part of the conclusion of their project, the final edited Senior Essay
(in two copies enclosed with a soft copy of the project code/Application package) to the College
before the date of demonstration. The college has all rights and privileges on the system.

3.7. The Senior Project must be accepted and approved by the Project Advisor before demonstration.

3.8. The Senior Project result, which may not satisfy the Advisor/Examiners, is deemed to be
unacceptable and the student shall be required to fix all the comments that may be provided by
the Advisor/Examiner in one additional week time after the demonstration.

3.9. Any student project, which shall be outstanding beyond the sixteen weeks period, will not be
entertained, and the student(s) is required to register for the project yet again as new candidate by
satisfying all the registration requirements set by the College. The grading and all other related
issues will be treated as any course mentioned in the prospectus.

4. Terms and Conditions of Use


I have read and understood the above procedures and conditions of the College with regards to the
Senior Project.

By signing this Form, I fully agree to abide by all the procedures and conditions contained in this
brochure. In addition, I acknowledge that I am fully aware of all the consequential impact that would be
resulted on me if the procedures would not be followed. Moreover, I won’t change the project title
or/and proposal once it is approved without notifying and getting permission from the college and the
advisor.
