O Allah, I begin the glorification of You with
praising You
and You always guide us to the right out of Your
favors upon us.
I am certain that You are the most Merciful of all
those who show mercy  
in situations of pardon and mercy,
the harshest in punishments
in situations of giving exemplary punishment
and chastisement (to the wrongdoers),
and the greatest Omnipotent
in the domain of absolute power and might.
O Allah, You have permitted me to pray and
 beseech You.
So, listen, O All-hearer, to my words of praise,
reply my prayer, O All-merciful,
and overlook my slips, O Oft-Forgiving.
 You, O my God , have relieved so many of my
grievances,
dispelled so many of my sorrows,
overlooked so many of my slips,
  ‫ ﻙ‬‫ ﺪ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﹺ ﺤ‬ ‫ ﻟﺜﻨﹶﺎﺀ‬ ‫ ﺢ‬‫ ﻓﹾ ﺘﹶﺘ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﹶﻟﻠﱠ ﻬ‬
 ‫ﻨ ﻚ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﹺ‬ ‫ ﺏﹺ‬ ‫ﻮﺍ‬ ‫ ﻠﺼ‬ ‫ﺩ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﹾ ﺖﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﻤ ﻴ ﻦ‬ ‫ﺣ‬  ‫ﺮﺍ‬ ‫ ﻟ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﺭ ﺣ‬  ‫ﹾ ﺖﹶ‬ ‫ ﻚ‬ ‫ ﻘﹶ ﹾﻨ ﺖﹸ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﺣ ﻤ‬  ‫ ﻟ ﺮ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﹾﻔ ﻮﹺ‬ ‫ﺿ ﻊﹺ ﹾ ﻌ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﻓ ﻲ‬
 ‫ﻗ ﺒﹺﻴ ﻦ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ ﺷﹶ ﹾ ﻤ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻘ ﻤ‬ ‫ ﻟﻨ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﺿ ﻊﹺ ﻟﻨ ﻜﹶﺎ ﻝﹺ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﻓ ﻲ‬
 ‫ﺮﹺﻳ ﻦ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﺠ‬ ‫ﹶﺘ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﹾ‬ ‫ﻋ ﻈﹶ ﻢ‬  ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ ﹶﻈ ﻤ‬ ‫ﹾ ﻌ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﺎﺀ‬ ‫ﺒ ﺮﹺ‬ ‫ﻜ‬ ‫ﺿ ﻊﹺ ﹾ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﻓ ﻲ‬
 ‫ ﻚ‬‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ ﺩ‬ ‫ﻓ ﻲ‬  ‫ ﻲ‬ ‫ﺫﹾ ﺖﹶ‬  ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﹶﻟﻠﱠ ﻬ‬
  ‫ﺘ ﻚ‬ ‫ﹶ‬ ‫ﺴ‬  ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻣ‬  ‫ﻤﻴ ﻊ‬ ‫ ﺳ‬ ‫ﺎ‬  ‫ﻊ‬ ‫ﺳ ﻤ‬ ‫ﻓﹶ‬
‫ﻋ ﻮ‬ ‫ ﺩ‬ ‫ﺣ ﻴ ﻢ‬  ‫ ﺭ‬ ‫ﺎ‬  ‫ ﹺﺟ ﺐ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
  ‫ ﻲ‬‫ﹾﺜ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ ﹶﻏ ﻔﹸﻮ ﺭ‬ ‫ﺎ‬  ‫ﻗ ﻞﹾ‬  ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺟ ﺘﹶ ﻬ‬  ‫ ﹶﻓ ﺮ‬ ‫ ﻗﹶ ﺪ‬ ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ ﹸﻛ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻣ ﻦ‬  ‫ ﹺﻟ ﻬﹺﻲ‬ ‫ﺎ‬  ‫ﻓﹶ ﻜﹶ ﻢ‬
‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ ﻛﹶ ﹶﺸﻔﹾ ﹶﺘ‬ ‫ﻗﹶ ﺪ‬ ‫ﻮ ﻡﹴ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ ﻗﹶ ﹾﻠﺘﹶ ﻬ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ ﻗﹶ‬ ‫ﺓ‬ ‫ﹾﺜ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻭ‬

spread over me many of Your mercies, ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺮ ﹶ‬ ‫ﹶ ﹶﺸ‬ ‫ﻗﹶ ﺪ‬ ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﺣ ﻤ‬  ‫ﺭ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
and unlocked so many rings of misfortunes (in
 which I was det ained). ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻓﹶ ﻜﹶ ﻜﹾﺘﹶ‬ ‫ﻗﹶ ﺪ‬ ‫ﻼﺀ‬  ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﹾﻠ ﻘﹶ‬ ‫ﺣ‬  ‫ﻭ‬
 Al l praise be to Al la h Who has not betaken wif e
‫ﺔﹰ‬ ‫ ﺒ‬‫ ﺻﹶﺎ ﺣ‬ ‫ ﺬﹾ‬‫ﺘ ﺨ‬  ‫ﹶ ﻢ‬ ‫ ﻱ‬‫ ﺬ‬‫ﻠﱠ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
or son,
  ‫ﹶﺪﹰ‬ ‫ﻭ‬  ‫ﻻﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 Who has no partner in th e sovereignt y   ‫ﻠﹾ ﻚ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻓ ﻲ ﹾ‬  ‫ ﹶﺷ ﺮﹺﻳ ﻚ‬ ‫ﹶ ﻪ‬ ‫ ﹸﻜ ﻦ‬  ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﹶ‬‫ﻭ‬
nor does He have any protecting friend through
dependence. ‫ ﻟﺬ ﻝ‬ ‫ ﻦ‬‫ﻣ‬ ‫ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﹶ ﻪ‬ ‫ ﹸﻜ ﻦ‬  ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻭﹶ‬
 An d Magnif y Him with al l magnific ence.   ‫ ﹶ ﻜﹾﺒﹺﻴﺮ‬ ‫ ﻩ‬‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻛﹶ ﺒ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 Al l praise be to Al la h wit h full grat itude  ‫ ﻛﹸﻠ ﻬ‬ ‫ ﻩ‬‫ ﺪ‬‫ﺎ ﻣ‬ ‫ﺤ‬  ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ ﻴ ﻊﹺ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﹺ ﺠ‬ ‫ ﻠﱠ ﻪ‬ ‫ ﺪ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
for all His bounties.    ‫ ﻛﹸﻠ ﻬ‬ ‫ ﻪ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻌ‬ ‫ ﻴ ﻊﹺ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺟ‬ ‫ﻠﹶﻰ‬ ‫ﻋ‬
 Al l praise be to Al la h Who has no opposition in
‫ﻓ ﻲ‬  ‫ﹶ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻀﹶﺎ ﺩ‬ ‫ ﻱ ﻣ‬‫ ﺬ‬‫ﻠﱠ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
His rule
‫ ﻪ‬‫ﹾﻠ ﻜ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
nor there is any challenge to His commands. ‫ ﹺﺮ ﻩ‬‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ ﻲ‬‫ ﻓ‬ ‫ﹶ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨﹶﺎ ﺯﹺ ﻉ‬ ‫ﻣ‬  ‫ﻻﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 Al l praise be to Al la h Who has no counsel to
‫ ﻲ‬‫ﻓ‬ ‫ﹶ ﻪ‬ ‫ ﻱ ﹶﺷ ﺮﹺﻳ ﻚ‬‫ ﺬ‬‫ﻠﱠ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
meddle with His operation of creation
‫ ﻪ‬‫ﺧﹶ ﹾﻠ ﻘ‬
nor there is anything similar to Him in His
greatness.   ‫ ﻪ‬‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﹶﻈ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ ﻲ‬‫ ﻓ‬ ‫ﹶ ﻪ‬ ‫ ﺷﹶ ﺒﹺﻴ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻻﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬

 Al l praise be to Al la h Whose co mmandments and
 ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻣ‬  ‫ﻓ ﻲ ﹾ ﺨﹶ ﹾﻠ ﻖﹺ‬  ‫ﺷ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻪ ﹾ ﻔﹶﺎ‬ ‫ ﻠﱠ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
praise are active in the creation,
His glory is evident through His kindness,
His distinct overflowing generosity is freely
available,
His unlimited bestowals do not exhaust,
and Whose opulent bestowals increase Him
nothing but magnanimity and generosity.
 Verily He is Mi ghty , Abundantly Giver.
O Allah, I beseech You for little from the much,  
along with my great need for it
and Your needlessness for it is since eternity.
For me, it is so big
 but for You, it is ef fortless and easy.
O Allah, as You pardon my sins,
overlook my mistakes,
take a lenient view of my disorderly conduct,
 ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﻤ ﺪ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺠ ﺪ‬  ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﻡﹺ‬ ‫ ﹾ ﹶﻜ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻫ ﺮﹺ‬ ‫ﭐﻟ ﻈﱠﺎ‬
 ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺪ‬  ‫ﻮ ﺩ‬ ‫ ﹾ ﺠ‬ ‫ﺳ ﻂ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﭐﹾ‬
 ‫ ﻨﹸ ﻪ‬‫ ﹶﺧ ﺰﹶﺍ‬ ‫ﺬ ﻱ ﹶ ﹾﻨ ﻘﹸ ﺺﹸ‬ ‫ﭐ‬
‫ﻮﺩﹰ‬ ‫ ﺟ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻻﱠ‬ ‫ﻄﹶﺎﺀ‬ ‫ﺓﹸ ﹾ ﻌ‬ ‫ﻛﹶ ﹾﺜ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ ﹶ ﺰﹺﻳ‬ ‫ﻻﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﻣﺎﹰ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﹶﻛ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﺰﹺﻳ ﺰﹸ ﹾ ﻮ‬ ‫ ﹾ ﻌ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ ﻫ‬ ‫ﹺﱠ ﻪ‬
‫ﺜ ﻴ ﺮﹴ‬ ‫ ﻛﹶ‬ ‫ﻣ ﻦ‬ ‫ ﻴﻼ‬ ‫ ﻗﹶ‬ ‫ﹸ ﻚ‬ ‫ﺳ‬  ‫ﹺ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﹶﻟﻠﱠ ﻬ‬
‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻈﻴ ﻤ‬  ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﻴ ﻪ‬ ‫ﹺﹶ‬ ‫ﹺﻲ‬ ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﺎ ﺟ‬ ‫ﺣ‬  ‫ﻊ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
 ‫ﺪ ﻳ ﻢ‬ ‫ ﻗﹶ‬ ‫ﻨﹾ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﻏ ﻨﹶﺎ ﻙ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
  ‫ﺜ ﻴ ﺮ‬ ‫ ﻛﹶ‬ ‫ﺪ ﻱ‬ ‫ﻋ ﻨﹾ‬  ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺴ ﻴ ﺮ‬   ‫ﻬ ﻞﹲ‬ ‫ ﺳ‬ ‫ﻴ ﻚ‬ ‫ﻠﹶ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ ﺫﹶﹾﺒﹺ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﻙ‬ ‫ﹾﻔ ﻮ‬   ‫ﹺ ﻥ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﹶﻟﻠﱠ ﻬ‬
‫ﺘ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻄ ﻴﺌﹶ‬ ‫ ﺧﹶ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﺯﹶ ﻙ‬ ‫ﺎ ﻭ‬ ‫ﺠ‬ ‫ﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﻤ ﻲ‬ ‫ ﻇﹸ ﹾﻠ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ ﹶﺻ ﹾﻔ ﺤ‬ ‫ﻭ‬

cover up my hideous actions,
and treat my numerous offenses with
forbearance,
 which I have committed mistake nl y and
 will full y—
all that tempted me to ask for that which I do
not deserve from You,
that is You may grant me part of Your mercy,
show me part of Your all-powerfulness,
and show me signals of Your response to me.
So, I am now supplicating You with security
and beseeching You with entertainment
neither afraid nor fearful,
insisting on You in that which I face to You.
But when Your response delayed, I, out of my
ignorance, would blame You  
although perhaps slowing down may be a
 blessing in disguise,
 beca use You al one know the co nsequences of all
matters.
So, I have never seen such a noble Master
‫ ﻲ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ ﹶﻗﺒﹺﻴ ﺢﹺ‬ ‫ﻠﹶﻰ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﻙ‬ ‫ﺳ ﹾﺘ ﺮ‬  ‫ﻭ‬
‫ ﻲ‬‫ﻣ‬‫ﺮ‬ ‫ ﺟ‬ ‫ﺜﻴ ﺮﹺ‬ ‫ﻛﹶ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ ﹾﻠ ﻤ‬‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ ﻱ‬‫ ﺪ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ ﺧﹶ ﹶﻄ ﺈﹺﻱ‬ ‫ ﻦ‬‫ﻣ‬ ‫ ﻛﹶﺎ ﻥ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬  ‫ ﻨﹾ ﺪ‬‫ﻋ‬
‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬  ‫ ﻚ‬ ‫ ﺳ‬ ‫ﻥ‬  ‫ ﻲ‬‫ﻓ‬ ‫ﻨﹺﻲ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ ﹾﻃ ﻤ‬
 ‫ ﻨﹾ ﻚ‬‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ ﺟﹺ ﺒ‬‫ ﹶﺘ ﻮ‬‫ ﺳ‬‫ﺍ‬
  ‫ ﻚ‬‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ ﺭ‬ ‫ ﻦ‬‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﹶﺯ ﻗﹾ ﺘﹶﻨﹺﻲ‬ ‫ ﺭ‬ ‫ ﻱ‬‫ﭐ ﺬ‬
 ‫ ﻚ‬‫ ﺭ‬‫ ﹸﻗ ﺪ‬ ‫ ﻦ‬‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ ﺘﹶﻨﹺﻲ‬‫ﺭ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺘ ﻚ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺟ‬ ‫ﹺ‬ ‫ ﻦ‬‫ ﻣ‬  ‫ﻓﹾ ﺘﹶ ﹺﻨ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﻨﺎ‬‫ ﺁﻣ‬ ‫ﻮ ﻙ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬‫ ﺩ‬ ‫ ﺕﹸ‬‫ ﺮ‬‫ﻓﹶ ﺼ‬
  ‫ﹺﺴ ﺎﹰ‬ ‫ ﺘ‬‫ﺴ‬ ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﹸ ﻚ‬ ‫ ﺳ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺟﹺﻼ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﻻﹶ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ ﻔﺎ‬‫ﻻ ﺧﹶﺎ‬
 ‫ ﻚ‬‫ﹺﹶ ﻴ‬ ‫ ﻴ ﻪ‬‫ ﻓ‬ ‫ ﺕﹸ‬‫ ﻗﹶ ﺼﹶ ﺪ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻓﻴ‬  ‫ ﻚ‬‫ﻠﹶ ﻴ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ ﻻ‬‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
‫ﻴ ﻚ‬ ‫ﻠﹶ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ ﻲ‬‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﹺ ﺠ‬ ‫ ﺖﹸ‬‫ﹶﺘﺒ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﻨ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ ﻄ‬ ‫ﻓﹶ ﹺﺈ ﻥ‬
   ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ ﹶﺧﻴ‬  ‫ ﻫ‬ ‫ﻨ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ ﻄ‬ ‫ ﻱ‬‫ﻞﱠ ﺬ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﻭﹶ‬
 ‫ﻮﺭ‬ ‫ﻣ‬   ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ ﺒ‬‫ﺎﻗ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﹺ‬ ‫ ﻚ‬‫ ﹾﻠ ﻤ‬‫ ﻌ‬
  ‫ﺎﹰ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﹶﺮﻳ‬ ‫ﹺ‬ ‫ ﻛ‬ ‫ﹶ ﻰ‬‫ﻮ‬ ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ ﺭ‬ ‫ﻓﹶﻠﹶ ﻢ‬

more accommodating to such a dissatisfied

servant than You are to me.   ‫ﹶﻠ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﻣ ﻨﹾ ﻚ‬  ‫ﺌ ﻴ ﻢﹴ‬ ‫ﹶ‬ ‫ﺒ ﺪ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻠﹶﻰ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺻﹾﺒ‬
O Lord! You give an invitation but I turn down,  ‫ﹾﻨ ﻚ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻮﹺﻲ ﻓ ﻭ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬‫ ﹶ ﺪ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻚ‬ ‫ﺏ‬ ‫ﺎ ﺭ‬ 
 You beco me famili ar with me but I do not ca re
for You,  ‫ﻴ ﻚ‬ ‫ﹺﹶ‬ ‫ﻐ ﺾﹸ‬ ‫ ﹶ ﺒ‬ ‫ﻓ‬ ‫ﹺﹶ ﻲ‬ ‫ﺐ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﺤ‬ ‫ﹶ ﹶﺘ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
and You show affection to me but I do not
correspond to You,  ‫ﻣ ﻨﹾ ﻚ‬  ‫ﻞﹸ‬ ‫ ﻗﹾ ﺒ‬ ‫ﻓﹶ ﻼﹶ‬ ‫ﹺﹶ ﻲ‬ ‫ﺩ‬ ‫ﺩ‬ ‫ﹶ ﹶﺘ ﻮ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
as if You are overreaching me!  ‫ﻴ ﻚ‬ ‫ﻠﹶ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ ﹶﻝ‬ ‫ ﻟﺘ ﹶﻄ ﻮ‬ ‫ ﻲ‬ ‫ ﻥ‬ ‫ﹶﻛ‬
 Yet, all th at have not stopp ed You from having
mercy upon me,  ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﺣ ﻤ‬  ‫ ﻟ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻣ ﻦ‬  ‫ ﻚ‬‫ ﺫ‬ ‫ﻌ ﻚ‬ ‫ﻤ ﻨﹶ‬  ‫ﻓﹶﻠﹶ ﻢ‬
doing favors to me,   ‫ﹺﹶ ﻲ‬ ‫ﺎ ﻥ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ ﻹ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
and blessing me out of Your magnanimity and
generosity.  ‫ﻣ ﻚ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﹶﻛ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﺩ ﻙ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﹺ ﺠ‬ ‫ﹶﻠ ﻲ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ ﻟﺘ ﻔﹶﻀ ﻞﹺ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
So, (please) have mercy on Your ignorant servant ‫ﻫ ﻞ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺠ‬ ‫ ﹾ‬ ‫ﻙ‬ ‫ﺒ ﺪ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﺭ ﺣ‬ ‫ﻓﹶ‬
and bestow upon him with the favors of Your
 bene fice nce.   ‫ﺎﹺ ﻚ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﹺ‬ ‫ﻪ ﹺ ﹶﻔ ﹾﻀ ﻞﹺ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﻠﹶ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺟ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 Verily , You are Al l-magnanimous and All-
generous.  ‫ ﹶﻛ ﺮﹺﻳ ﻢ‬ ‫ ﺩ‬ ‫ﻮﺍ‬ ‫ ﺟ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻚ‬
 Al l praise be to Al la h: the Lord of th e
sovereignty,  ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻠﹾ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻚ ﹾ‬  ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬  ‫ ﻠﱠ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
 Who allo ws ar ks to fl ow [on sea s],  ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺠ ﺮﹺﻱ ﹾ ﻔﹸﻠﹾ‬  ‫ﻣ‬
 Who co ntrols the winds,   ‫ﺎ ﺡﹺ‬  ‫ﺨ ﺮﹺ ﻟ ﺮ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
 Who ca uses th e day to break,   ‫ﺎ ﺡﹺ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ ﻖﹺ ﻹ ﺻﹾ‬‫ﻓﹶﺎ‬
 Who admini ste rs th e auth orit y, ‫ ﻦ‬ ‫ﻥ ﻟ ﺪ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺩ‬

although He has full acquaintance with all

 Al l praise be to Al la h for His amne sty although
He has full power over all things. ‫ ﻪ‬‫ ﺭ‬‫ ﻗﹸ ﺪ‬ ‫ ﺪ‬‫ﻌ‬  ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﹾﻔ ﹺﻮ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﻠﹶﻰ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ ﻠﱠ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﹾ ﺤ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 Al l praise be to Al la h for the respi te that He
‫ ﻲ‬‫ﻓ‬ ‫ ﻪ‬‫ﹶﺎ‬ ‫ ﻃﹸﻮ ﻝﹺ‬ ‫ﻠﹶﻰ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﻠﱠ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻤ ﺪ‬ ‫ﹾ ﺤ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
allows in spite of provocation.
‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﹶﻏ ﹶﻀﺒﹺ‬
He is able to do whatever He wills.  ‫ﺮﹺﻳ ﺪ‬  ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻣ‬  ‫ﻠﹶﻰ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﺩ ﺭ‬ ‫ ﻗﹶﺎ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 Al l praise be to Al la h, the Creator of all cr eated
 beings, ‫ ﻖﹺ ﹾ ﺨﹶﻠﹾﻖ‬‫ ﺧﹶﺎ‬ ‫ﻠﱠ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
 Who ma kes sustenance freely availa bl e, ‫ﺯﹾﻕ‬ ‫ﻂ ﻟ ﺮ‬ ‫ﺳ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ 
 Who starts the day,   ‫ﺎ ﺡﹺ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ ﻖﹺ ﻹ ﺻﹾ‬‫ﻓﹶﺎ‬
 Who is the Owner of glory, might, ‫ﺍﻡ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ ﻹ ﹾﻛ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﻼ ﻝﹺ‬ ‫ﺫ ﻱ ﹾ ﺠ‬
favors and bounties;  ‫ﺎﻡ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ ﻹﹾ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﹾ ﻔﹶ ﹾﻀ ﻞﹺ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
and Who is so far away that none can ever see
Him ‫ﻯ‬ ‫ﺮ‬  ‫ ﹶﻓ ﻼﹶ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻌ‬  ‫ﺬ ﻱ‬ ‫ﭐ‬
and, in the same time, He is so nigh that He is
fully aware of even the whispering secrets.   ‫ﻯ‬ ‫ﺠ ﻮ‬ ‫ ﺍﻟ ﻨﱠ‬ ‫ ﹶﻓ ﺸﹶ ﻬﹺ ﺪ‬ ‫ﺏ‬ ‫ﹶﻗ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
Blessed and Exalted be He. ‫ﺎﹶﻰ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬  ‫ﻙ‬ ‫ﺎ ﺭ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﹶ‬
 Al l praise be to Al la h Who has no equal to
 ‫ﻨﹶﺎ ﺯﹺ ﻉ‬ ‫ﻣ‬  ‫ﹶ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻴ ﺲ‬ ‫ﹶ‬ ‫ﺬ ﻱ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ ﻠﱠ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
challenge Him,
 ‫ﺩﹸ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ 

nor is there an image comparable to Him,
nor is there a helper to assist Him.
He tames the powerful by His force,
and disgraced are the great ones before His
Greatness.
So, He, through His power, fulfills that which He
 will s.
 Al l praise be to Al la h Who gives answe r to me
 wheneve r I call Him,
covers up my shortcomings, yet I disobey Him,
and gives me the largest part of bounties, yet I
do not show him gratitude.
Many an auspicious favor had He given me,
many a terrible danger had He turned off,
and many a blossoming joy had He made
available for me.
Therefore, I praise Him with thankfulness
and mention Him with exaltation.
 Al l praise be to Al la h Whose sc reen ca nnot be
penetrated,
 Whose door is not blocked,
 ‫ﻛ ﻠﹸ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺸﹶﺎ‬  ‫ ﺷﹶ ﺒﹺﻴ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻻﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬

‫ﺍﹺ‬ ‫ﺭ‬  ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ ﹶﻗ‬ ‫ﻮﹺ ﻘﹶ ﺔ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻬ ﺠ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﻣ ﺪ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺣ‬  ‫ﻴ ﻪ‬ ‫ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﹾﻨﹺﻲ‬  ‫ﻓﹶ‬
‫ﺤﺎ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﺴ‬  ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺫﹾ ﹸﻛ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻭ‬

 Whose beseeche r is not rejected,
and one who hopes Him is not disappointed.
 Al l praise be to Al la h Who secu res the fright ened
ones,
comes to the help of the upright ones,
promotes the cause of the weak ones,
annihilates the autocrats,
destroys rulers, and appoints others instead.   
 Al l praise be to Al la h; the Er adicat or of the
tyrants,
the Terminator of the unjust ones,
the Catcher of the fugitives,
the Punisher of the unjust ones,
the Aide of the aid-seekers,
the Settler of the needs of the beseechers,
and the support of the faithful believers.
 Al l praise be to Al la h! In His awe-in spiring fear
 ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺮ ﻋ‬  ‫ﺘ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ ﺧﹶ ﺸﹾ‬ ‫ﻣ ﻦ‬  ‫ﺬ ﻱ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ ﻠﱠ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
the heavens and its dwellers tremble and shiver,
 ‫ ﻠﹸ ﻪ‬‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺳ‬  ‫ﺩ‬ ‫ﺮ‬  ‫ﻻﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
   ‫ﻣ ﹸﻠ ﻪ‬ ‫ ﺁ‬ ‫ﺐ‬ ‫ﺨﹶ ﻴ‬  ‫ﻻﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ ﻴ ﻦ‬‫ ﻔ‬‫ ﹾ ﺨﹶﺎ‬ ‫ ﻦ‬‫ ﻣ‬‫ﺆ‬  ‫ﺬ ﻱ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ ﻠﱠ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍ ﺤ‬
   ‫ﺤ ﻴ ﻦ‬ ‫ﻲ ﻟ ﺼﱠﺎ‬ ‫ﹶﻨ ﺠ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﻔ ﻴ ﻦ‬ ‫ﺴ ﺘﹶ ﻀﹾ ﻌ‬  ‫ ﹾ ﻤ‬ ‫ﺮ ﹶﻓ ﻊ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺴﺘﹶ ﻜﹾ ﹺﺒ ﺮﹺﻳ ﻦ‬  ‫ ﹾ ﻤ‬ ‫ ﹶﻀ ﻊ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﺁ ﹶﺧ ﺮﹺﻳ ﻦ‬ ‫ ﻒ‬ ‫ﺴ ﹶ ﹾﺨ‬  ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﺎﹰ‬ ‫ﻛ‬ ‫ﻠﻮ‬  ‫ﻣﹸ‬  ‫ ﻚ‬‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻭ‬

  ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﺎﺭﹺ‬ ‫ﹺ‬  ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻙ ﹾ‬  ‫ﺪ ﺭﹺ‬  ‫ﻣ‬
  ‫ﻤ ﻴ ﻦ‬ ‫ﹶ ﻜﹶﺎ ﻝﹺ ﻟ ﻈﱠﺎ‬
  ‫ﺧ ﻴ ﻦ‬ ‫ﺴ ﺘﹶ ﹾﺼ ﺮﹺ‬  ‫ﹶﺻ ﺮﹺﻳ ﺦﹺ ﻤ‬

and the oceans and all that which float and swim
in their waters flow together in excitement and
tumult.
 Al l praise be to Al la h Who has guided us to this.
 We coul d not trul y have been led aright if Alla h
had not guided us.   
 Al l praise be to Al la h Who creates but He is not
created,
gives subsistence but He needs no provisions,
feeds but He takes no nourishment,
causes the living to die,
and brings the dead to life,
 but He is th e Ever -living Wh o never die s.
In His hands is all the good
and He is able to do all things.

‫ﺎﺀ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﺣ‬  ‫ﻤﻴ ﺖﹸ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﻮﹶﻰ‬ ‫ﺤﻴﹺﻲ ﹾ ﻤ‬  ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﻮﺕ‬ ‫ﻤ‬   ‫ﻲ‬ ‫ ﺣ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﻴ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻩ ﹾ ﺨﹶ‬ ‫ﺪ‬  ‫ﹺ ﻴ‬

the bearer of Your sacraments,
and the conveyor of Your messages,
 with the most sup erior, the most exquisite, the
most handsomer,
the most perfect, the most upright, the most
prospering,
the most pleasant, the most thoroughly purified,
the most sublime,
the most and the best blessings, advantages,
mercies, affections,
and salutations that You have ever bestowed
upon anyone of Your servants, Prophets,
Messengers, choicest people,
and those honored by You from among Your
created beings.   
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to `Al¢; the
Commander of the Believers,
the successor of the Messenger of the Lord of the
 worl ds,
 Your servant, Your bel oved rep resent ative , the
 brothe r of Your Me sse nger,

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to the
custodian of Your commandments,
the vigilant guardian, the reliable patron,
and the awaited establisher of justice.

angels
and assist him with the Holy Spirit.
O Lord of the worlds!
O Allah, (please) choose him to be the caller to
 Your Book  
and the establisher of Your religion;
make him succeed in the earth
as You caused those who were before him to

establish for him his faith which You have
approved for him,
and give him in exchange safety after the fear.
He serves You. He ascribes nothing as partner to
 You.
O Allah, (please) grant him power, make him the
source of power,
grant him support, make him the means of Your
 vict ory,
help him with a mighty help,
make him prevail over all with easiness,
and delegate him Your controlling authority.
O Allah, (please) make prevalent Your religion
and the norms of Your Prophet through him
so that he will not have to hide any item of truth  
for fear of any of the creatures.
O Allah, we ardently desire that You confer upon
us a respectful government
through which You may give might to Islam and
its followers,
humiliate hypocrisy and its people,

‫ﻴﺌﺎ‬ ‫ ﺷﹶ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻚ‬ ‫ ﹾﺸ ﺮﹺ ﻙ‬   ‫ﻙ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻌﺒ‬ 
‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﹺ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹺﺰﺯﹾ‬  ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﻋ ﺰﻩ‬  ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﹶﻟﻠﱠ ﻬ‬

O Allah, let us bear out that which You make
known to us as the truth
and let us attain that which we fall short to do.
O Allah, through him, set in order our disorder,
gather and unite our flock,
stitch together our ripped open separation,
increase our few numbers,
lift us up from our degradation,
grant wealth to the needy among us,
pull us out from our debts,
set up our poverty,
fill the gap of confusion among us,
make easy all difficulties we may face,

‫ ﺧﹶﻠ ﺘﹶﻨﹶ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺳ ﺪ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺮﹶ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﻭ‬

refine our substance and style,
release us from captivity,
make successful our applications,
fulfill Your promises to us,
give answer to our prayers,
respond to our requests,
make us attain our hopes in this world as well as
the world to come,
and grant us beyond our wishes.
O Most Favorable of all those whom may be
 besought
and Most magnanimous of all those who may
grant requests!
Through him, heal our breasts,
remove the rage of our hearts,
and in the event of dispute in the matter of
 ‫ﻖ‬ ‫ ﹾ ﺤ‬ ‫ﻣ ﻦ‬  ‫ ﻴ ﻪ‬‫ ﻓ‬ ‫ ﻒ‬ ‫ﺎ ﺧﹾ ﺘﹸ‬ ‫ﻤ‬  ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﹺ‬ ‫ﹶﺎ‬‫ ﺪ‬‫ ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
truth, show us the right path.
 Verily , You guide whosoeve r You will to the
Right Path.
‫ﻨﹶ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﺟ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺾﹾ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺮﹶ‬ ‫ ﺳ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻓﹸ ﻚ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﺘﹶﻨﹶ‬ ‫ﺒ‬  ‫ ﻃﹶ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﹾ ﺠﹺ ﺢ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺪﹶ‬ ‫ ﻴ‬‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻮﺍ‬ ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﹾ ﹺﺠ ﺰﹾ ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﹶﻨﹶ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ ﺩ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ ﹶﺘ ﺠﹺ ﺐ‬‫ ﺳ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﹶﻨﹶ‬‫ﺆ‬ ‫ ﺳ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨﹶﺎ‬‫ﻋ ﻄ‬  ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﹶﻨﹶ‬ ‫ﺁﻣ‬ ‫ﺓ‬ ‫ ﺮ‬‫ ﻵ ﺧ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻴ‬  ‫ ﻟ ﺪﹾ‬ ‫ ﻦ‬‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻠ ﻐﹾﻨﹶﺎ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﻨﹶ‬‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻏﹾ‬ ‫ﺭ‬ ‫ ﻕ‬‫ ﹶﻓ ﻮ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ ﻨﹶﺎ‬‫ ﻄ‬‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ ﻴ ﻦ‬‫ﻭ‬ ‫ ﺆ‬‫ﺴ‬ ‫ ﹾ ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺮ‬‫ ﺧﹶﻴ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ 
  ‫ ﻴ ﻦ‬‫ ﻄ‬‫ﻌ‬ ‫ ﹾ ﻤ‬ ‫ﻊ‬ ‫ ﺳ‬‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺭﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ ﺻﹸ ﺪ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﭐ ﹾﺷ ﻒ‬
‫ﻨﹶ‬‫ﹺ‬‫ﻮ‬‫ﹸ‬‫ﻗﹸﻠ‬ ‫ ﻆﹶ‬‫ ﻏﹶﻴ‬ ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ ﺐ‬‫ ﹾﺫ ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﹺ ﹺﺈ ﺫﹾﹺ ﻚ‬
‫ ﻁ‬ ‫ﺮﺍ‬ ‫ ﺻ‬ ‫ﹺﹶﻰ‬ ‫ ﹶ ﺸﹶﺎﺀ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ ﻣ‬ ‫ ﻱ‬‫ ﺪ‬‫ ﹶ ﻬ‬ ‫ﹺﱠ ﻚ‬
‫ﻴ ﻢﹴ‬‫ ﹶﺘ ﻘ‬‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﻣ‬

Grant us victory over Your and our enemy.
O God of Truth, respond to us!
O Allah, we complain to You
about the departure of our Prophet, Your
 blessings be on him and on his Household,
the absence of our leader,
the big numbers of our enemies,
the few number of us,
 widespread disorder,
and vicissitudes of time against us.
So, (please do) send blessings to Mu¦ammad and
his Household
and help us overcome all that through victory
from You that You expedite,
through relieving us from our injuries,
through Your help that You confirm,
through bringing in the rule of justice and fair-
play,
through mercy that You expand over us,
and through good health that You cover us with,
 ‫ﻭﹶ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ﻙ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﻠﹶﻰ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﹺ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺮﹶﺎ‬ ‫ﹾ ﹸﺼ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﻣ ﻴ ﻦ‬ ‫ ﺁ‬ ‫ﻖ‬ ‫ ﹾ ﺤ‬ ‫ﹺﻟ ﻪ‬
 ‫ﻴ ﻚ‬ ‫ﹺﹶ‬ ‫ﹶ ﺸﹾ ﻜﹸﻮ‬ ‫ﹺﱠﺎ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﹶﻟﻠﱠ ﻬ‬
‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺁ‬ ‫ﻭ‬  ‫ﻴ ﻪ‬ ‫ﻠﹶ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﺍﹸ ﻚ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ ﹶﺻ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻨﹶﺎ‬ ‫ﹶ ﺒﹺﻴ‬ ‫ﹶﻓﻘﹾ ﺪ‬
‫ﻨﹶ‬ ‫ﻴ‬‫ ﻭ‬ ‫ ﹶﺔ‬ ‫ﻴﺒ‬ ‫ﻏﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
 ‫ﻭﹶ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﺓﹶ‬ ‫ﻛﹶ ﹾﺜ ﺮ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
‫ﺩﹶ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬ ‫ﻗﻠﱠ ﺔﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬

‫ﻴ ﹶﻨ‬ ‫ﻠﹶ‬ ‫ﻋ‬  ‫ﺎ ﻥ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ ﻟﺰ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﹶ ﻈﹶﺎ ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
