The book starts on the first day of Spring, Geronimo is first seen in his office. His nephew
Benjamin asks if he could host a pizza party to celebrate the first of Spring. At night time
Geronimo invites his family and friends but he keeps bugsy wugsy away from him, he eats
lots of pizzas which are cooked by Trap, Geronimo’s cousin. He eats lots of pizzas so he is
full and he can’t sleep. He goes to the kitchen to have tea for the 31st time but he stumbles
into the 30 cups of tea which are broken into thousands of pieces then he gets up but he
steps on a sharp shard so he runs to the bathroom but it is clogged and there is water so
slips and he hits the sink headfirst.

We next see Geronimo in front of the rainbow dragon and scribblehopper. He learns that
Blossom was kidnapped and there will be a ceremony which was hosted by the gnomes. He
goes to where the ceremony was hosted but he arrived early and he was too big to sleep
there. The queen of the gnomes told the gnomes to make beds, clothes and blankets, after
that was made the queen sang a poem so Geronimo could sleep. The next day there were
creatures from different lands of the kingdom of fantasy. When the king asked who will save
the queen nobody was listening but when Geronimo said the same thing people started
joining. The first person who joined was Strongheart, the last Giant, Thunderhorn the deer,
Sterling the dragon princess, Mr. Tinkles the cat and Horizon the magical ship.

Geronimo gets honey glazed sugar cookies from the Queen. Geronimo and the company
(rescue team) board Horizon, but there is a fight in the magical ship. Mr Tinkles looks for the
sailors but he can’t find them and he didn’t listen to the ceremony so he doesn't know that
Horizon is a magical ship. Mr. Tinkles tells Horizon to lift the anchor but he says in a rude
tone so Horizon doesn’t lift the anchor, Strong Heart breaks the fight and Geronimo
convinces Horizon to lift the anchor. After they leave the shore of the ceremony palace Mr.
Tinkles instigates another fight with Horizon but the ship spills water on him. Geronimo talks
to Horizon in private and she says that he is the cleanest person in the boat. Then Horizon
takes Geronimo to the treasure room and gives him the ring of light. When Geronimo exits
the treasure room Sterling takes him to train him, she teaches him about dragons and how to
train them. They go to shiver beach which is located in the land of nightmares, when they
reach there Mr. Tinkles puts a fish in Stronghearts hat. They start fighting but Thinderhorn
shouts at them and he resolves the fight. They continued moving but there was a big gap
and everybody crossed it but Strongheart was stuck so he had to take off his shoe to
continue but he was slowing the team so he stayed behind. The next person who had to
leave was Mr. Tinkles, he had to stay behind because he couldn’t swim. One by one the
team had to stay behind because of a certain problem, the last person who had to stay
behind was Thunderhorn. He stayed behind because his body was getting stuck in thorns,
Geronimo was the only person who was left to save Queen Blossom. He was scared but he
knew that he had to save her. Geronimo saw the Volcano of Doom from a far distance, he
climbed to the top of the volcano but the only thing he saw was a chair so sat down on it.
The chair started sinking to the ground and when the chair stopped sinking he saw a hall
that led to the chamber. He saw Blossom in the chamber, right then he heard some footsteps
so he hid behind a pillar. He saw stone guards entering the chamber and chanting some
words at Queen blossom, after the stone guards left the room Queen Cackle came with her
pets. She had 3 bats, 1 skunk and 1 scorpion, after her The King of Nightmares came and
demanded Queen blossom to dance and sing. After Blossom danced and sang a song the
King’s mask started breaking and he turned into a fairy just like Blossom. The king started
battling with the Cackle, The king started turning blue, and the Blossom was poisoned by the
scorpion. At the end of the fight the king gets defeated and Cackle escapes with Blossom,
Geronimo sees her taking flight on her dragon so Geronimo hurries to his dragon. Geronimo
and Cackle have a dragon fight and it ends with Cackle getting defeated. Geronimo then
reunites with his original team to stop the volcano from emitting gas and stop it from
erupting. When they enter the volcano again they see another person who is keeping the fire
alive and it is a giant, after they free her and distinguish the fire trolls start attacking them so
Strongheart stops them because he is so angry that another giant was taken hostage.

We learn the female giant is called Beatrice, The team convinces Beatrice to come to the
Kingdom. When they are on their way Geronimo notices that Grim (King of Nightmares) and
Blossom are talking together, Geronimo shrugs it off because he thinks that they are just
talking about the kingdom. Shortly after they arrive home Boils announces everybody to go
to the Great Lawn, after he says there is chaos and lots of rumours. It is revealed that Grim
and Blossom are getting married and Grim’s new name is George.
