1. Introduction

4.2 Site In charge

a. Ensure that the Digital Signage Screens and Video Walls Installation design is
approved by ABC Company / ABC International Airport.
b. He will make sure that the technicians at airport to conduct the checking at
site have approval from ABC Company / ABC International Airport.
c. Ensure that the required documentations for all works are approved prior to
the commencement of the job.
d. He has to ensure that the work is being carried out in accordance with the
sequence stated on this method of statement.
e. Coordinate all the site activities required for works in accordance with project
specification, approved method statement.
f. To provide all necessary information and distribute responsibilities to his
team.
g. To monitor the progress of work in relation with work program and to report
to the Project manager.
h. To coordinate with safety officer and to ensure that the works are carried out
in safe practicing method.
i. To ensure that warning signs and tapes are fixed around the area where work
is in progress.
j. To preserve back the environment and disposing properly waste and
unwanted materials.

mask as per safety plan.

c. Ensure that safety signs and warning tapes are fixed at the vicinity of
working area.

d. Maintain continuous inspections of the working activities advice and train


the involved personnel on daily basis to prevent accidents personnel injury
or property damage.

4.4 Site Supervisor / Foreman

Responsibilities:

a. Shall ensure the safety of his subordinate during working activities.

b. To ensure that work is carried out properly and according to instructions


received from the site In charge.

c. To ensure that tools, labors and materials are available.

d. To control the disposal of waste materials according to the instruction of site


In charge to the approved disposal location.

e. Coordinate fully with the safety officer in order to maintain safe working
conditions and proper housekeeping of the site.

5. Tools and equipment


The tools and equipment required may include:

1. Measuring tools: These tools are necessary for taking accurate measurements of the
installation area, such as laser distance meters, measuring tapes, and spirit levels.

2. Power tools: Power tools are required for drilling, cutting, and fixing the digital signage

scaffolding are needed to provide safe access to those areas.

6. Labor Management

qualifications. Once the hiring needs have been defined, the project team develops a plan for
recruiting and hiring individuals and sub-contractors. The project team advertises the positions to
attract qualified candidates. Once applications have been received, the project team screens and
interviews candidates to assess their suitability for the role. After the interviews have been conducted,
the project team selects the most suitable candidates for the job. This includes conducting background
checks, verifying references, and negotiating contracts.

When it comes to sub-contractors, additional considerations may be required, such as:

Before engaging a sub-contractor, the project team evaluates their capabilities, experience, and
financial stability to ensure they are qualified to perform the work. A contractual agreement is
prepared to outline the scope of work, payment terms, and any other relevant terms and conditions.
The project team monitors the performance of the sub-contractor to ensure that they are meeting
the required standards and deliverables.

Training and Awareness

Workers involved in the installation of digital signage screens and video walls should have a solid
understanding of the technical aspects of the project, including the hardware and software involved.
This can include training on mounting and configuring the screens and video walls, connecting cabling
and wiring, and troubleshooting technical issues.

7. Environment and Social Requirements

sustainable development.

labor practices and workers' rights.

9. Occupational Health and Safety


1. Prior to the commencement of any activity, the work force will receive toolbox talks on the
project safety requirements. This toolbox talk will include all activity issues as well as general
safety requirements and emergency preparedness.

2. Direct Supervisor will ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used by site
personnel at all times during this activity. Safety Helmets, Gloves, Safety Goggles, overall,
Safety shoes and face mask wearing is mandatory.

3. Ensure that potable water coolers/ igloos are distributed to workers who are involved in this
activity in order to avoid dehydration.

4. Signs and warning tapes are to be displayed at barricaded areas indicating that MEN AT WORK,
WORK AT HEIGHT etc and authorized personnel only will be permitted to work and stay in the
working area.

5. During the work, Safety Officer shall be made available in the area to monitor safety
compliance while the work progresses.

10. Hazards at Work Site


Some hazards which can be identified at the work site are mentioned below:

Injury form tools, equipment and parts, inadequate planning and preparation of the job, Non-
compliance of HSE rules and procedures, Non availability of firefighting equipment, Lack of warnings,
signages and safety measures, Working without wearing PPE, Fall from height, falls of materials,
Manual handling, Overloading of scaffold/ladder, Slips, Trips and Falls, Electric shock, skin burns,
Irresponsible worker

Control measures for these hazards are given in risk assessment document.

11. Noise Control


Quieter technology is used for Noise Control of Digital Signage Screens and Video Walls Installation at
Airport Terminal Reconstruction Project. Latest models that have quieter fans and other components
are used. Digital signage screens are designed to be low-power and low-heat, which can help reduce
the amount of noise generated by the equipment.

Installation of the digital signage screens and video walls will be performed during off-hours, such as
at night, when the airport is less busy. This can help to minimize the disruption to passengers and
airport staff.

Appropriate PPEs like ear muffs and ear plugs will be provided for safety from noise, if needed.

12. Traffic Management Plan

7. Monitor and adjust the plan: Continuously monitor the implementation of the traffic
management plan and adjust as necessary to ensure that the installation of digital signage

13. Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM)


The project has GRM for anyone to use including Suppliers and individuals or sub-contractors who the
Supplier hires/contracts. Please ensure persons are aware the GRM.

14. Incident Reporting


The incident reporting procedure will be performed as per the client’s guidelines and requirements,
to report accidents and incidents. Below are some general procedures for the reporting of incidents.

Investigate and document incidents: Once an incident is reported, investigate it thoroughly to identify
the root cause and document all relevant information, including the date, time, location, and
individuals involved.

Analyse incidents: Use the information gathered during the investigation to identify trends, root
causes, and areas for improvement. This analysis can help to prevent similar incidents from occurring
in the future.

Implement corrective actions: Develop and implement corrective actions based on the analysis to
address the root cause of the incident and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Monitor and review: Continuously monitor the incident reporting system to ensure that it is effective
and efficient. Review the system regularly to identify areas for improvement.

15. Obervation Tool in Procore


The ABC Company will use the observation tool under Procore, to report on situations, with the aim
to record anomalies and situations that need to be addressed, to continuosly improve the Site
circumstances.
