Profile
Having completed my bachelor's degree in Astrophysics with Geology at Keele University, I am now keen on pursuing
a career in the education sector where I can use my developed skills and share my knowledge.
I acquired transferable relevant skills such as communication, time management, creativity and problem solving, in
addition to the technical knowledge of my degree, which would make me an appropriate candidate for teaching
roles. I consider myself as a friendly person with a patient and helping nature, which I believe aids me with
communicating and supporting others.
My passion for teaching developed during primary school where I would struggle to keep up with the class and had
difficulty understanding the lessons. In the final year, I had a new teacher who spent time with me to work on my
difficulties and helped me realise my abilities. Having received that support, I am inspired by my teacher to help
others like me who have subject difficulties. This experience has made me incline towards helping others and being a
good adviser, and to pave a career for myself in the education sector.
Astrophysics and Geology involve the application of Physics, Maths and Chemistry, which are concepts that I have
been amazed by from a younger age. I have found that the challenging nature of these subjects may make them less
favourable, and so passing on my knowledge and trying to make the subjects more enjoyable to study would be
something I would take great pleasure in.
