Emergency Overview
Each person who could potentially be exposed to this material, via any route entry, while performing their
assignments, routine and non-routine, should review this MSDS in order to better understand the hazards
associated with the material. To work safely with this material: keep away from heat and ignition sources, avoid
contact with eyes, skin, or clothing, avoid breathing material’s vapors or fumes keep container closed, use with
adequate ventilation - - do not enter any confined spaces without first verifying air quality wash thoroughly after
handling.

IV. First – Aid Measures

Skin Contact
Immediately tale off all contaminated clothing. For skin contact, flush with large amounts of water. If any adverse
effects persist, get medical attention.

Eye Contact
For eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Seek medical advice.
Inhalation
Move person to non-contaminated air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth to mouth. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Seek medical attention
Ingestion
If the material is swallowed, get immediate medical attention or advice. Never give anything by mouth to a victim
who is unconscious or is having convulsions. If the patient has good gag reflex, you can consider giving several
ounces of water for dilution.
Cardiovascular
The signs and symptoms that may result from an emergency or acute over
exposures include arrhythmia

V. Fire Fighting Measures

Suitable extinguishing agents:

CO2, sand, extinguishing powder. Do not use water.
· For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with full jet

Protective equipment:
Mouth respiratory protective device.

VI. Accidental Release Measures

Methods for Clean-Up

Ventilate the contaminated area. Eliminate ignition sources including sources of electrical, static or frictional
sparks. Collect the material using absorbents, non-sparking tools, explosion-proof vacuums or other equipment
required by the size of the release. Decontaminate the area, collecting any cleaning and rinsing media for proper
reclamation or disposal.

Other Information
Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing during clean up. Determine appropriate course of action for
collected material. Regulations vary. Consult local authorities before disposal.

VII. Handling & Storage

Handling
Organics can obtain an electrostatic charge during processing activities including mixing, filtering, or pumping,
which may represent a spark hazard and, therefore, a fire hazard. Also, sudden release of such materials from
process equipment at elevated temperatures, and/ or pressures, can result in ignitions from static absent any
apparent ignition source. Flashpoint and auto ignition values obtained from standard test conditions may not be
applicable to other situations and, thus, the safe use of this material in any process should be reviewed by one
familiar with both the processing conditions and this material. As with all chemicals, good industrial hygiene
practices should be followed when handling this material. When the container(s) is empty it may retain product
residue including vapors, which would accumulate. Therefore, do not cut, drill, grind, or weld empty containers.
Additionally, do not conduct such activity near full, or empty product containers without appropriate workplace
safety authorization(s) permit(s).
Storage
Protect container from physical abuse. Keep container tightly closed. Keep this material in a cool, well-ventilated
place. Eliminate all sources of ignition. Keep separate from incompatibles. Bond and ground containers when
transferring material. Do not handle or store near an open flame, heat or other sources of ignition. Do not cut,
weld, solder, drill, grind, or expose containers to heat, flame, sparks, or other sources of ignition. Empty product
containers may contain product residue.
VIII. Exposure Controls/Personal Protection

Personal Protective Equipment

Eye Protection

Wear safety glasses with side shields; chemical goggles (if splashing is possible). Wear a face shield if a splash
hazard exists

Skin and Body Protection

Use appropriate hand protection. Wear impervious gloves for prolonged contact.

Respiratory Protection

Select and use respirators per a competent health and safety professional.
