Subject: REQUEST FOR INCREASE IN MENU RATES

This request is in continuation of already submitted request dated: 16-01-

2023 wherein we apprised about of our financial condition as a result of unprecedented
price hikes over the last one year or so. We have been providing catering services over
the years with entire satisfaction of the Express management. All our catering services
are being provided on nominal rates. The existing canteen’s menu rates if looked
through the existing market rates would leave you in awe as how we are surviving by
providing canteen services in such a low rates.

However, having said that, we would like to request ever since we have shifted to
new location, we sustaining loss of Rs.50000/- on account of LPG-Gas per month to
keep our canteen operative, the said loss was being absorbed by the organization itself
prior to shifting to new location. However, if we accumulate the total loss, than it would
be Rs.5 lac to Rs.6 Lac in last 6 months.

Despite the loss of such handsome amount, we have not compromised on

our food quality and also doing our best to keep us afloat but in spite of our best efforts
it is getting increasingly difficult for us to manage canteen service in existing rates and
we are no longer in position to sustain further loss.

increased as per detailed tabulated below: -

The above revised menu rates have been devised keeping in view of
existing market rates with minimum profit in mind so that lowest possible additional
financial burden be passed on to our respected client and also give us enough room to
continue strive to make better our Canteen Services.

Subject: Request for Increase in Menu Rates

1. It is submitted that M/s Fazal Din Caterer is providing catering services over the
years with entire satisfaction of the Express management. All our catering
services are being provided on nominal rates.
2. The present rates are enforced from last eight months whereas the expenses
against the services currently been provided has been increased by hundredfold.
The prices of kitchen commodities like tea, milk, sugar, rice, oil, spices, pulses &
vegetables etc are increased by more than 150% due to inflation and it is
becoming very hard for us to manage and provide quality catering services in
existing rates. The said canteen service is running at “Break Even” position and
keeping in view of recent price hikes, it would be impossible for us to keep
provide quality catering services in existing rates. We already using Milk (dry and
Liquid) of brands best in the market in terms of quality and the prices of same
has been increased by 200% which is affecting us badly.
It is also submitted that we have been providing quality catering services to your
organization for several years now. Sir due to consistent increase in prices of Kitchen
commodities, we are unable to run the canteen with some margin of profit, as such we
requested your good self that we have been paying handsome amount of tax from our
subsidy payments which is affecting us badly.
In the light of aforesaid, it is humbly requested that our Menu Rates be increased
proportionally keeing in view of current market prices from 1 st February 2023 so that we
can continue providing quality catering services without any financial strains. I shall
remain indebted for this genuine favour and support.
