Workshop and Demonstration

Community development is an attempt to bring about a social and economic transformation of

village life through the efforts of the people themselves. In order for an individual to join or
participate in a community development, he/she needs to attend some workshop for one to be
informed and to know how to demonstrate or what are the things that should be done to be ready
and to be suitable in the said project that the community or the organization would implement.
Let me define the word “Workshop”, it is an educational program designed to teach or introduce
to participants practical skills, techniques, or ideas that would be useful.
Workshops and seminars help a person to develop a new skill set for their better future.
In a successful workshop, you'll find how much fun learning about new concepts and procedures
can be, but more significantly, you'll be able to received knowledge that will help you stand out
from the crowd right away. Furthermore, you will be able to take what you have learnt and pass
it on to your peers.
There are also methods that can be use in workshops for the learners to acquire knowledge, this
includes, brainstorming, which is a method for people to share a wide range of ideas before a
decision is made. Brainstorming frees people to think creatively and energizes them to take
action. Because the process is participatory, everyone feels part of the decision-making process
that can be used in developing a community.
Then, Gap analysis helps groups to better understand the gap between their current state and
where they want to end up. Groups are able to recognize their present state, agree on a desired
future, and identify the steps they need to take to get there. The process is highly participatory,
aligns groups, and creates energy.

For the Demonstration, it is the process of teaching someone how to make or do something in a
step-by-step process. As you show how, you “tell” what you are doing. A demonstration always
has a finished product. Community development has been described as a process that is done
to implement change. This suggests that there are a particular set of steps and requirements
that a community needs to follow in order for their efforts to be successful. During the
implementation stage, actions should be monitored to make sure that they are having the
intended effect. society and the world are ever evolving and the communities that want to
successfully exist in such a place need to have that flexibility if they want to survive.
