Scope
{The name of the Partner} is in partnership with Tadiran Telecom proposes to satisfy the requirements
as specified by the {The name of the Project} in this II for the “IP Telephony System” by deploying a
solution based on the AEONIX Voice Server.
The AEONIX is manufactured by Tadiran Telecom and {The name of the Partner} response has been
prepared in consultation with Tadiran’ s Design and Consultancy Group and is fully endorsed by them as
the optimum one for {The name of the Project} . The AEONIX is an “enterprise class” system that will
provide {The name of the Project} with a best-in-class solution that combines superior business benefits
for staff and the public with a scalable and cost-effective solution.
The AEONIX system is a very powerful and yet flexible multimedia communication platform built on
advanced concepts and technologies. The system runs on a VMWare platform or standard PC / server
hardware with a “hardened” Linux operating system called CentOS and Postgre Relational Database.
The AEONIX is a powerful UC&C system that provides unified communications and multimedia over IP. The
AEONIX enables enterprises to both migrate from TDM based equipment to a VoIP infrastructure whilst
preserving features and at the same time providing new services with increased availability and lower costs.
The AEONIX provides distributed topology with fault tolerance and redundancy. Multiple AEONIX servers
are configured as a single cluster to ensure continuity of service and avoid outages. The AEONIX may
deployed with either N+1 or NxN redundancy which is independent of location i.e. redundant AEONIX
servers may be deployed locally and / or in geographically dispersed locations.
AEONIX Solution for {The name of the Project}
{The name of the Partner} proposes to install an AEONIX system (either an AEONIX application in VMWare
environment or standalone AEONIX Voice Servers) in the {The name of the Project} . The AEONIX will
provide full call and routing for all trunks and end-points both IP and analogue for all sites in the network.
The AEONIX provides distributed topology with fault tolerance and redundancy. Multiple AEONIX whether
VM Ware Instances or standalone AEONIX servers are configured as a single cluster to ensure continuity of
service and avoid outages. All telephony gateways, trunks, IP handsets and analogue ports will be
registered to the cluster irrespective of their location in the network. The N+1 AEONIX cluster technology
ensures continuity of service for all network entities in the event of failure of one of the AEONIX servers.
rd
As an option {The name of the Project} may install a 3 AEONIX server in one of the sites which will be
added to the AEONIX cluster, this configuration will provide N+N redundancy and will increase substantially
the redundancy over that provided by two AEONIX voice servers. With the AEONIX N+N configuration in
the very unlikely event of the failure of two of the three AEONIX servers lost, service will still be maintained
rd
for the entire network by the remaining AEONIX server. The 3 AEONIX server may be deployed in any site
without compromising the N+N redundancy as the AEONIX cluster is independent of geographical location.
AEONIX Gateways
We propose to deploy two (2) types of Gateways. One (1) to accommodate the usage of the PRI trunks
and the other to support the SS7 connection.
In normal operation both gateways will be registered to the AEONIX cluster and will be load balanced
across both AEONIX. In the event that one of the AEONIX fails both of the gateways will continue to
operate, u n d e r the control of the remaining AEONIX, without loss of service. When the AEONIX is
restored the Gateways will resume normal load balancing operation with the restored N+1 cluster.
rd
Note also that if a 3 AEONIX is installed whether in either of the sites the Gateways will continue to
operate, under the control of the 3rs AEONIX should two of the three AEONIX servers fail.
T328 Phone
The T328 phone is designed for business users who need rich telephony features, a friendly user-interface and
superb voice quality. A high-definition voice quality and a large, high-resolution graphical display (320x160
pixels) guarantee an excellent user experience.
The display features a back light which is lit when the phone rings or when any key is pressed. It turns off shortly
after the phone becomes idle. The bottom line of the display is used to activate any of four dynamic soft keys
which automatically change to display features based on the phone’s current calling state (idle, busy, conf, hold,
etc.).
To ensure that audio data remains confidential, the T328 phone also supports security standards, Open VPN and
AES encryption. These features guard against electronic eavesdropping and data theft. The T328 phone supports
up to two EXP39 expansion modules.
T49G Video Phone
The T49G video collaboration phone is designed for executives and teleworkers. It strikes the perfect balance
between simplicity and sophistication, enabling high quality communications for business executives and
professionals alike. With an enlarged, eight-inch, liquid crystal display (LCD) touch screen (1280x800 pixels), as
well as high definition (HD) video and audio, the T49G facilitates seamless and efficient collaboration between
employees, business partners, key stakeholders and customers.
Furthermore, the T49G video collaboration phone boasts 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as Bluetooth
4.0 with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) technology. This combination of advanced technology facilitates faster data
transmissions and High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) output for high quality media exchanges.
Other useful features include programmable keys, a centralized notification hub and an advanced control center.
T49G also allows users to record calls and transfer screenshots via USB flash drive.
AEONIX Attendant Console
The Attendant consoles (2), either standard or computerized will be registered to the AEONIX cluster.
In normal operation the Attendant Consoles will be registered to the AEONIX cluster and will be load
balanced across both AEONIX. In the event that one of the AEONIX fails the Attendant Consoles will
continue to operate, under the control of the remaining AEONIX, without loss of service. When the
AEONIX is restored the Attendant Consoles will resume normal load balancing operation with the restored
N+1 cluster.
The Aeonix PC Attendant is positioned as an advanced PC-based console and administration application
with a highly intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) that includes screen-based call status and call
handling prompts, real-time Busy Lamp Field (BLF) status, plus telephony keypad for fast, efficient
attendant call handling.

The AEONIX is Next Generation Networks (NGN) system that provides a unified application platform to
support an organization’s business objectives including:
N+N and N+1 - redundancy options independent of geographic location
Unified messaging – IM, Presence, Desktop Video
Unified communications
Multi-Layered Mobility (MLM) utilizing softphones, dual-mode phones and IP-phones
rd
Range of SIP terminals, both 10/100 and Gigabit, which may be reused with 3 party call managers.
Contact Centre, Auto-Attendant, IVR and Speech Recognition
Conference Bridge – 48 party
Legacy digital and analogue extension ports
Comprehensive trunk interfaces – PRA, BRA, PSTN, SIP
AEONIX Scalability
The AEONIX may be deployed as a single server solution or with multiple servers either co-located or
dispersed across many locations. The AEONIX supports a single mirrored database across all servers
deployed in a network, thus additional servers may be deployed at any time to increase traffic handling
capacity of for redundancy and/or resiliency.
There no theoretical ceiling to the number of users that may be supported by AEONIX. The AEONIX is based
on highly efficient core software program modules such that system capacity is essentially hardware
independent. Adding multiple AEONIX servers, the AEONIX system will scale to theoretically unlimited
volumes. A single AEONIX (based on a standard Intel server) will supports up to 3,000 users, with a
performance of 72,000 Busy Hour Call attempts (BHCA), subject to traffic and application usage. With
multiple servers the AEONIX will scale 25,000 users today with 300,000 BHCA and 100,000 in the near future
(early 2017).
Any Coral and UCx systems can be converted to a Wave Gateway which allows for maintaining all existing Coral
equipment, including terminals and various trunk interfaces.
The Coral Wave Gateway allows traditional TDM station and trunk cards to work seamlessly with Aeonix.
The Aeonix Gateway provides flexibility to connect to traditional networks using standard interface carts. Aeonix
and Gateway can be used in multiple countries and across different networks. The Gateway provides the physical
connection to the local telecom provider circuit. Aeonix provides the call signaling and processing engine. This
allows Aeonix to provide interfacing and compliancy in over 40 countries around the world.
Load sharing
The AEONIX can be deployed across a multiple servers and processing engines. Each of these event processing
engines can support up to 100,000 busy hour attempts whether it is voice, video or feature access. If additional
traffic or load capabilities are required, simply add another event processing server.
Distributed Gateways
The AEONIX is not constrained by geographical boundaries. This allows telephony gateways to be strategically
placed in an enterprise for reliability and disaster recovery. For example, long distance or SIP trunk gateways can
be placed in Navan and Drogheda and all will act as a single trunk group.
