2015- 1.5T Zhongshan Hospital ‘uCS acceleration not only improves the imaging speed, but also helps
2016- 3.0T Fudan University, China us transition from qualification to quantification, by precisely
2017- PET/MR capturing the dynamic flow of contrast media in liver.’
Prof. Meng-Su Zeng, director of radiology department

2014- 1.5T Chinese PLA General Hospital, ‘In term of image quality, acquisition technique and customer service,
2014- 1.5T Wide bore China uMR (UIH) achieves the same level of performance as other major
2015- 3.0T vendors. The stability of the applications and system fulfill all our
clinical needs.’
Prof. Lin Ma, director of radiology department

2016- 3.0T Peking University Third Hospital, ‘Peking University Third Hospital takes advantage of the magnet
2019-3.0T China homogeneity and uCS acceleration technique to set up a specific
imaging protocol for MSK study. By co-developing 24 channel Foot &
Ankle Coil, Peking University Third Hospital is able to provide 30cm
whole foot and ankle coverage, high SNR and fast imaging. ’
Prof. Hui-Shu Yuan, director of radiology department

Safety Issue
To ensure safety, patients and support staff should be thoroughly screened for metal
objects prior to entering the scan room. Often, however, patients have implants
inside them that make it very dangerous for them to be in the presence of a strong
magnetic field. These include:

•Metallic fragments in the eye, which are very dangerous as moving these
fragments could cause eye damage or blindness
•Pacemakers, which may malfunction during a scan or even near the machine
•Aneurysm clips in the brain, which could tear the very artery they were
placed on to repair if the magnet moves them
•Dental implants, if magnetic

Most modern surgical implants, including staples, artificial joints and stents are
made of non-magnetic materials, and even if they're not, they may be approved for
scanning. But let your doctor know, as some orthopedic hardware in the area of a
scan can cause distortions in the image.
