Libya

Physical Geography
● Official name: “State of Libya”.

● Libya is 1,770 km (1,099.8 mi)

● Some neighbors of Libya are Tunisia and Algeria to the west, Niger and Chad
to the south, and Sudan and Egypt to the east.

● Libya is located in Africa.

● The most notable features and climate of Libya are dry summers and
relatively wet winters.
Culture
● Libya was found in february 10 of 1947

● In reality, Libya is a totalitarian nation-state. Independence date: December


24, 1951. 1.9.1969, date of the revolution. It established popular congresses
and popular committees in the constitution, which was adopted on December
11, 1969, and amended on March 2, 1977.

● Muammar Gaddafi, Abdul Hamid Dbeibehwere some of Libya's important


figures.

● 76,000 active personnel, plus a reserve or people's militia of some 40,000.

● Algeria., Brazil, Cyprus, Egypt. Ethiopia, Holy See (Vatican City) India,
People's Republic of China, are allies of Libya.
Politics and Government
● Libya's population is about 6.735 millions (2021).

● The majority of Libyans are of Arab or mixed Arab-Berber descent.

● Libya official language is Arabe

● Trípoli is the capital of Libya.


● In my opinion Libya has a low quality country, the index of safety and health
are very low and the corruption index is very high, indicating the critic situation
of the country.

Economy
● GDP 42.82 miles de millones USD (2021)

● Apart from petroleum, Libya's other natural resources are natural gas and
gypsum.

● Libya currency is Dinar libio.

● Libya's top five exports are crude oil ($27 billion), petroleum gas ($1.94
billion), refined oil ($592 million), scrap ($336 million) and gold ($236 million),
most bound for France. ($1.94 billion), Germany ($3.26 billion), Spain ($3.05
billion), China ($2.84 billion) and Italy ($7.47 billion).

● In the first eleven months of 2022, according to ICE data, trade between Italy
and Libya reached 11,090 million euros, 67.38% more than in the same
period of 2021 and 23.19% more than the share of the Chinese market.
