Hi guys, how are you doing?

Today, we are going to talk about three topics:

1st, the importance of studying abroad,

2nd pros and cons, and
3rd Possibilities offered by my academic program to study in a foreign country.

Now, my classmates and I, will give our viewpoints about this topic.

Well, my name is Angie and I am a chemist major at Univalle. I am currently in my second

semester. Every year, many students from many countries decide to study abroad. I think
studying abroad is important in the workplace. For me, studying abroad is a life changing
experience. An advantage is that I will get to know new cultures. Also, I will discover new and
exciting foods and will gain independence. There will be many disadvantages such as cultural
shocks and communication problems. Moreover, fees and expenses are more expensive than in
Colombia. There is no information about scholarships in my academic program. I consulted the
web page of the International Relations Office of the Universidad del Valle. There is a great
possibility to apply in exchange and internship programs. From this moment, I am consulting
different universities for scholarship offers.
