I have 23 years’ professional experience in youth and community personal development roles using mentoring and coaching approaches and interventions,
particularly in the youth and fundraising sector. I have a sound grounding in positive psychology and humanistic coaching theories and frameworks from my MAPPCP
(Distinction), and both a qualified youth mentor (YMCA) and fundraising coach (MinstF Cert). My career has extensively drawn on and strongly relate to many of the
EMCC coaching and mentoring competence framework areas to support users improve their wellbeing and life satisfaction. When running group and 1-2-1 mentoring
and coaching sessions, I regularly adopt strengths and values based approaches to promote resilience, self-efficacy and emotional wellbeing. I am also a qualified
Narrative Coach and use second story techniques to support young people and parents create a new positive identity for themselves. As a CAMHS Mental Health
First Aider I coach young people to address early signs of stress low moods.

My passion is promoting positive identity, emotional wellbeing and raising aspirations in disadvantaged young people combining Positive Psychology Interventions
with Narrative Coaching, and more directive mentoring techniques that offer an multidimensional approach to individual needs. My MAPPCP dissertation (Distinction
which was accepted to be presented at the EMCC 10th Global Research Conference 2020, explored how youth practitioners promoted emotional wellbeing in
adolescents within community settings. The study presented a Holding-Containing-Attunement Model that promotes an authentic, communicative environment to
enhance adolescent interpersonal relationships with mentors and coaches. I am keen to disseminate these findings in the coaching and mentoring sector to inform
theory and good practice.

I am motivated to mentor and coach people to be their best possible self. I am passionate about facilitating a safe, authentic space that allows people to make
realsiations about their meaning, purpose and values to self actualise. As a charity fundraising coach, I have delivered skills training and mentored with a variety of
professionals; I have experience in both group and individual settings of applying psychological strategies for wellbeing and resilience in the work place through 1:1
coaching, team coaching and mentoring.

I have worked with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the NHS Grenfell Health & Wellbeing Service to create a community peer to peer mental
health programme that advises and supervises other professionals, as well as mentors young people to become Wellbeing Champions and advocate to peers from an
lived experience perspective. I have received mentoring from professional on the programme and enhanced my skills and competencies in mentoring and coaching.
I have become a more reflective practitioner and gained valuable face to face experience within both professional and community settings, adopting holistic personal
development approach.

I am currently being supervised by a BPS registered Coaching Psychologist, Chartered Psychologist (BPS) and a Registered Psychologist (Health Care Professions
Council) and working towards evidencing competency to become a Chartered Coaching Psychologist with the BPS. Being part of this first cohort of BPS Chartered
Coaching Psychologists, I am keen to contribute to the field of Coaching Psychology with innovation, best practice and research in collaboration with the EMCC, UEL
and other colleagues in the coaching arena.
