General instructions.

1. Each child has to do all the homework given for each subject.

2.Details have been intimated individually.

3.The Holiday Homework should be submitted by 5 July, 2023. After that 1000 rupees will be charged.

4. holiday homework will be assessed in the internal marks

6. Do all subjects Holiday Assignment in a fair Notebook of concern particular subject

7.)School will remain close w.e.f. 22nd May to 2nd July 2023 for summer vacation. School will reopen on
3rd july 2023.

8 ) Students must submit their holidays home work till 5th july.

Students have to pay fine of Rs. 1000/- for late submission of their Holidays Home Work. 2nd UT will be
conducted from 10th july, the best one will be considered from both of the UTs, so prepare well.

Teacher will give you syllabus for 2nd UT.

ACCOUNTANCY
2023-24

1. Revise all the concept covered in ch-2 and Ch-3 (Accounting for partnership firms)
2. Do the given Assignment.
3. Prepare a small flip book on Balance sheet, income statement and its different
items. ( ART INTEGRATED ACTIVITY)

4. Prepare One specific project based on financial statement analysis of a company
covering any two aspects from the following:
1. Comparative and common size financial statements
2. Accounting Ratios
3. Segment Reports
4. Cash Flow Statements
ASSIGNMENT

1. A, B and C started business on 1st July,2015. You are required to find


out:
i.A drew Rs.8,000 in the beginning of every month for 9 months
ending 31st March,2016.
ii.B drew Rs.8,000 at the end of every month for 9 months ending 31st
March,2016.
iii.C drew Rs.8,000 every month for 9 months ending 31st
March,2016.
Calculate interest on drawings@ 10%p.a.

2. Anil,Sunil and Ravinder entered into a partnership on 1st April,2015 to


share profits in the ratio of 2:1:1.It was provided in the deed that Ravinder’s share
of profits will not be less than Rs.70,000 p.a. The losses for the year ended 31st
March,2016 were Rs.2,00,000 before allowing interest Rs.8,000 on Anil’s loan
which is due for the current year. You are required to show necessary account for
division of loss and also pass the necessary journal entries.
3. Mudit and Uday are partners in a firm sharing profits in the ratio of
2:3.Their capital accounts as on April 1, 2015 showed balances of Rs.70,000 and
Rs.60,000 respectively. The drawings of Mudit and Uday during the year 2015-16
were Rs.16,000 and Rs.12,000 respectively. Both the amounts were withdrawn on
1stJanuary, 2016.It was subsequently found that the following items had been
omitted while preparing the final accounts for the year ended 31st March,2016:
i.Interest on capital@6% p.a.
ii.Interest on drawings @6%p.a.
iii.Mudit was entitled to a commission of Rs.4,000 for the whole year.
Show your workings clearly and pass a rectifying entry in the books of
the firm.

4. A, B and C are partners sharing profits in the ratio of 5:4:1. C is given


a guarantee that his
share of profits in any given year would be Rs.5,000.Deficiency if any,
would be borne by A and B equally. The profit for the year ended 31st
March, 2016 amounted to Rs.40,000.Pass
the necessary journal entries in the books of the firm.

5. A, B and C are partners in a firm sharing profits and losses in the


ratio of 4:3:3.Their fixed
capitals were Rs.1,00,000; Rs.2,00,000 and 3,00,000 respectively. For
the year ended 31st March,2018 interest on capital was credited to them
@10% instead of 9%.Pass the necessary
adjustment entry.

A and B are partners sharing profits and losses in the ratio of 3:2.They
agreed to take C into
partnership for 1/3rd share. For this purpose, goodwill is to be valued at
two year’s purchase of the average profit of last four years which were
as follows:
Year ending on 31st March, 2014 Rs.50,000 (Profit)
Year ending on 31st March, 2015 Rs.1,20,000 (Profit)
Year ending on 31st March, 2016 Rs.1,80,000 (Profit)
Year ending on 31st March, 2017 Rs.70,000 (Loss)
On 1st April, 2016 a Motor bike costing 50,000 was purchase and
debited to travelling expenses account, on which depreciation is to be
charged @20% p.a. Calculate the value
of the goodwill.

6. On 1stApril, 2018 an existing firm had assets of Rs.75,000 including


cash of Rs.5,000.The
partner’s capital accounts showed a balance of Rs.60,000 and reserve
constituted the rest. If
the normal rate of return is 10% and the goodwill of the firm is valued
at Rs.24,000 at 4 year’s purchase of super profits, find the average
profits of the firm.
