I. Product Overview
The Canon imagePROGRAF iPF720/iPF710 are 36-inch 5-color wide format
printers and the iPF610/iPF605 are 24-inch 5-color wide format printers.
The imagePROGRAF iPF720/iPF710 and iPF610/iPF605 are designed for the
following:
• General Business Environments: Users who need to create
presentations, signs, posters, displays, document/packaging proofs, or
other oversize prints with expressive color.
• Technical Documents: Users creating CAD drawings, architectural
elevations, GIS maps, marketing planograms, or other renderings
requiring fine sharp lines, smooth curves, crisp text, fade/scratch
resistance, and fast speeds.
The imagePROGRAF iPF720/iPF710 and iPF610/iPF605 are replacements for
the imagePROGRAF iPF700/iPF600. The core technology and specifications
remain similar on the imagePROGRAF iPF720/iPF710 and iPF610/iPF605
compared to the imagePROGRAF iPF700/iPF600 with enhancements in
usability, ease of use and productivity.
The imagePROGRAF iPF720 includes an 80 GB Hard Disk Drive, which
improves print performance in network workgroup user environments.
The imagePROGRAF iPF605 is similar to the iPF610, however, without a
cassette. This model is available for CAD users who print mainly on roll paper.
The imagePROGRAF iPF605 requires less installation space, which enables
installation in a small office.
As an ENERGY STAR Partner, Canon U.S.A., Inc. has determined that this product
meets the Energy Star guidelines for energy efficiency.
F. HDI Driver
The Canon HDI Driver for AutoCAD applications creates a vector graphically
accurate representation of the printed data.
Features:
• Exact page size that corresponds with the actual print size
• Print Type setting
• Print Quality setting

layout on the roll paper is correct by providing a real time preview,
allowing users to change the print setting even after clicking on "print".
• The Free Layout feature enables nesting and custom layouts of images
or files of nearly any type (available for both Windows and Mac driver).
• The imageRUNNER Enlargement Copy feature (a hot folder solution to
print Color imageRUNNER PDFs directly without opening in a PDF

Color imageRUNNER device with Universal Send to the
imagePROGRAF printer enabling users to easily create posters from
hard copy documents.
• The Economy Print Mode produces draft prints on plain paper while
reducing the total ink consumption. This new feature regulates the use of
each ink tank to produce high-speed output with significantly less ink
usage.

CITS supports the end-user via toll free telephone access to the CITS
Call Center. The Call Center takes the first call from the customer and
provides assistance as follows:
• Answers product related questions.
• Assists the end-user with pre-and post sales inquires.
• Redirects Customer calls to the Service provider of record. If there
is no Service provider of record, CITS will:
o Attempt to resolve hardware, software, and operational
problems.
o When telephone based troubleshooting fails to resolve a
problem, service will be dispatched accordingly.
To obtain reimbursement for service delivered during the end-user
warranty, you must be dispatched by CITS. For this to occur, the end-
user must contact CITS first to attempt all user-performed service
remedies. Should these not resolve the problem, the Service Provider
of record will be dispatched (see ASCR process for instructions on how
to register your company as the Service Provider of record.)
Labor compensation of $135 per incident will automatically be issued
to the dispatched service provider (your company) once the service
call has been closed with CITS. Defective parts reimbursement will be
issued upon receipt of an e-Tag claim with the defective part.
• The e-Tag Claim System
Canon USA provides reimbursement for defective parts replaced in
support of the end-user warranty. Reimbursement is requested
through the e-Tag system found under the “Warranty” tab on the e-
Support website.
Complete all applicable fields on the e-Tag form and include it in
the box with the defective part. Send the part and form to the
address provided by the e-Tag system. Reimbursement will be
processed upon receipt of the part. The credit will then be posted
on the ISG Central portal within 24 hours of authorization by the
warranty control section
• The On-Line Warranty Credit Inquiry
The On-Line Warranty Credit Inquiry allows your dealership to
check, download and print details of e-Tag credits.
To acquire access to the on-line Warranty Credit feature, please
contact your dealership’s ISG Central Dealer Administrator or your
Canon Regional office for assistance.
To check your on-line warranty credits, log onto the ISG Central
website at http://www.isgcentral.cusa.canon.com.
Go to the Canon Network Access (CNA) site to view eTag warranty
credit information.
The e-Tag claim form can be found in the warranty section of the e-
Support Center website at http://www.support.cusa.canon.com.
b) Warranty Marketing Program
This is available to ASCR Registered Customers where the Warranty
Marketing Program option has been selected. The Service Provider of
record will handle 100% of all Customer Support. Should the customer
contact CITS, CITS will redirect the call to the Service Provider of
record.
Some Service Providers may choose to have their own help desk
serve as the "first point of contact" rather than CITS. This places the
burden of having an effective in-warranty call avoidance process upon
the service provider. Service calls performed under this arrangement
are not eligible for labor reimbursement under the process described in
Dispatch by CITS page 16. Instead, a flat-rate of $24.00 will be issued
to the service provider for each product (serial number) they choose to
support in this manner. The ASCR process allows the service provider
to select this option and it is incumbent on the service provider to
provide service support that is consistent with commercially acceptable
standards. In cases where the service provider has accepted the flat-
rate payment but has not provided service support to the end-user, the
service provider could lose authorization to service the product.
c) Unregistered Serial Numbers
Help desk support will be managed by CITS with dispatch supported
by a 3rd party service company.
B. Post-Warranty Support
If a Customer calls CITS for service after the product warranty has expired,
the customer will be instructed to contact the dealer registered to their product
under the ASCR Program (if the dealer selected either Dispatch by CITS or
the Warranty Marketing Program).
In addition, a Canon CarePAK (http://www.carepak.canon.com) Extended
Service Plan is available for the customer if a Dealer or Reseller is unable to
or chooses not to provide post-warranty service.
With the CarePAK Extended Service Plan, the customer will receive toll-free
telephone support and, if needed, on-site repair service for their Canon
Product. The customer should choose from plans that offer either one or two
year extended coverage.
Note: CarePAK coverage cannot be extended beyond the original term
purchased.
The CarePAK Extended 1 yr. or 2 yr. Service Plan must be purchased during
the product warranty period and goes into effect on the day the original
warranty expires. It does not include extended coverage for any
consumables, such as paper, ink cartridges or the Print Head.
In order to access e-Support, you must first register for a Support ID. To
register for a Support ID, go on-line to the Canon USA Systems and
Technical Support Division’s e-Support Center website at
http://www.support.cusa.canon.com. Click on the “Register” button and
follow the instructions for registration. This service is available at no
additional charge to all authorized dealers.
When the user is logged onto ISG Central they must select the Systems &
Technical Support button to access the Service Guides area of the
website as shown below.

Signifies approximately 10 trillion ink drops passing through the printhead for application to the media. For so long as the
Head Lot Number under “Status Print” display has a last digit of “A”, the internal machine drop count is under 10E12. Once
such figure is reached, the last digit will change to “B” and higher letters in the alphabet, signifying warranty coverage has
lapsed.
