I. Title of the Project

The title of my project is “online grocery store”. It is a platform where users can purchase
wide range of product . A module is a file containing python code, definitions of functions,
statements or classes. There are mainly 2 modules used in this project. This system includes
the following modules-
1. ADMIN MODULE.
2. CUSTOMER MODULE

II. Statement of the Problem

Modern lifestyle has brought about market potential for many niches which were previously
not in-demand. The best example for this is the online store business. In today’s day to day
life purchasing of products by visiting stores has become a tough job. As a standing in a
queue for making the payment of the product has become difficult for customers
  To overcome these difficulties, we are coming up with online grocery store. It is an e-
commerce website which helps to choose a wide range of products

Why this particular topic chosen?

In this digital world it is better to use online shopping and the basic concept of the
application is to allow the customer to shop virtually using the Internet and allow customers
to buy wide range of produt from the store.

Scope

Online shopping includes a few steps. The customer does the web research about
the product he needs and finds the product listed on the sites of different markets
or stores. He can check the specifications of the product and other features like
it’s quality and price. If he likes the product, he simply adds the product to the
cart and looks for another product if he needs. The customer can pay online
using different kinds of sources, listed on the website, or can pay on delivery.
The product(s) are delivered to the customer’s given address by a delivery
person who mostly is an employee of the market .

Methodology
Coding translates a detailed representation of software into programming language
realization. Coding style has been chosen in such a way that it provide execution speed and
minimum memory requirement. Programming language used for coding has greater
influence over the final output. Software must be selected in accordance with the application
and the latest technology available. My choice is Hyper Text as frontend and XAMPP
Server(My SQL),Python as back end and Sublime as IDE.
The Methodology used for developing this project are mentioned below:
1.JAVASCRIPT.
2.HTML
3.CSS
4.PHP

III. Process Description

The Modules used in the project are

1. Admin
2. Customer

Admin:

Admin will login into the website with the default username and password. Admin can add
and edit the products and product details. He can also view the orders placed by customers
and reviews by customers.

Customer:

The customer can view the application by registering or without registering as a guest user.
But the guest user has limited functionalities compared to the registered user. Registered
customer must log in with the username and password after logging in he can select the
products and add them to the cart. After the product is selected customer needs .

 Resources and Limitations

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:

1.Minimum Ram: 250MB.

2.Hard Disk : 50GB.
3.Processor : Intel.
 a. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
1.Operating System : Windows 7 or above.
2.Front End : Hypertext Markup Language(HTML),CascadingStyle Sheets
(CSS),Java Script(JS),Python(Front End scripting),Django(Web Development
Framework).
3.Software used : Sublime Source Code Editor, XAMPP SQL Server .
4.Back End : XAMPP Server(My SQL),Python .
5.Web Browser : Google chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

IV. Testing Technologies used

The candidate system we subjects to variety of tests. In the response security and usability is
tested. A series of testing is performed for the proposed system, before the system is ready for

proposed system are follows:

V. Conclusion

Sometimes people who don’t have a proper shop or shopping mall nerby them
or they have any problem going out,they can simple open there mobile phone
and order what they need. purchase different products and keep them in their
home. They list their products the same way as it is done on a website. These
portals take the responsibility of delivering the products at a certain cost.

Online shopping is benefiting both the buyers and sellers. All the ways used for
online shopping have a bright future ahead as most of the people are looking
to save their precious time by getting the required products sitting at home. If
the sellers keep facilitating the buyers with their good services, the buyers may
keep long term shopping relations with them, so it may be beneficial for both
of them.
