Tank Description:
The Ginanlangang Reservoir is a steel bolted tank consisting of 7 levels of plates. Tank is equipped
with tank access manholes, exterior ladder and safety cage, roof access entry hatch, roof vent and
hood. The tank is supported on a reinforced concrete ring foundation.

Findings:
♦ Severely corroded/damaged fence and barbed wire
♦ Overgrown vegetation within property and adjacent properties
♦ Surface corrosion on stair, stair cage and stair landing
♦ Missing bolt caps at shell manhole
♦ Corroded bolts at shell manhole
♦ Large amounts of corroded bolts and missing bolt caps
♦ Severe cracking at seal
♦ Minimal spot corrosion at tank shells
♦ Missing portion of level gauge/corroded/faded
♦ Severely corroded roof vent
♦ Mold and corrosion on truss rings
♦ Pool of water at full depth within valve pit

Tank Inspection Summary:
Our inspection findings identified an extensive amount of corroded bolts along the entire exterior tank
shell. Cracking along the seals were also noted which caused multiple invitations for leaks. Roof
access hatch was not accessible to determine interior conditions of any structural supports members.
However, given the tank’s age and current condition, an API 653 inspection and structural assessment
of the entire tank is recommended to verify deficiencies, structural condition, and remaining life. This
tank is assigned a “Severe” rating likely requiring major repairs or replacement.

Tank Description:
The Ka-An Reservoir is a Welded Steel Tank consisting of 5 levels of welded steel plate shells
fastened to a reinforced concrete foundation ring with anchor bolts. Tank is equipped with tank access
manholes, exterior ladder and safety cage, roof access entry hatch, roof vent and hood. (The exterior
access ladder was secured with a fence to prevent access because of the damaged ladder and safety
cage.)

Tank Inspection Summary:
Our inspection findings identified an extensive amount of corrosion throughout the tank anchor bolts
and connection plates to the tank shell. Cracking and spalling was observed along the concrete ring
foundation as well as severe corrosion to the tank chime/floor plate. The exterior access ladder and
safety cage was damaged and severely corroded. The tank roof surface was not inspected because of
the restricted access. The knuckle at the tank roof had several regularly corrosion areas that appear to
be aligned with the interior tank roof framing system. The tank exterior coating system appeared to be
completely deteriorated.

An API 653 inspection and structural assessment of the entire tank is recommended to verify
deficiencies, structural condition, and remaining life of the Ka-An reservoir tank. Past experience with
tank inspections have consistently shown that severe exterior deterioration closely mirrors internal
conditions. Given the age of the tank and its current condition, this tank is assigned a “Severe” rating
likely requiring Major Structural Repairs or Replacement.

Tank Description:
The Ginanlangang Reservoir is a steel bolted tank consisting of 7 levels of plates. Tank is equipped
with tank access manholes, exterior ladder and safety cage, roof access entry hatch, roof vent and
hood. The tank is supported on a reinforced concrete ring foundation.

Findings:
♦ There is a liner on the tank floor and no coating

♦ Corrosion observed on the tank vertical and horizontal joint seams

♦ Corrosion dimples on the 5th course of the tank wall
♦ Holes and corrosion at the top course of tank wall at roof line
♦ Minor corrosion on the supply line
♦ Rust chips discovered at inflow supply line

Tank Inspection Summary:

Our inspection findings identified corrosion at the side tank access manway. The tank floor is concrete
and the floor liner is in good shape. The access ladder in the tank is in good shape. There are standing
pipe extending from the tank floor that are severely corroded. Several corrosion spots along the tank
interior wall were observed and believed to be related to exterior shell damage from gun shots. Minor
corrosion on the tank wall vertical and horizontal seams were observed. There were several areas on

the tank wall vertical and horizontal seams where corroded bolts were observed. There obvious
corrosion and holes at the top wall course of the tank where the wall abuts the roof. The roof framing
itself is in good condition. The overall tank shell plates are in relatively good shape and structurally
sound. Therefore, a follow-up API 653 inspection will not be required for this tank. However, a
detailed assessment of the entire tank is recommended to verify all deficiencies related to the bolts and
seals of the tank. Additionally, the Access Manway will require structural reconditioning and similar
glass fusion coating to extend its remaining life to match the expectancy of the life of the tank walls.
The Ginanlangang reservoir tank requires major maintenance and repairs to the corroded spots, holes,
seams and replacement of the bolts and seals.

Given the age of the tank and its current condition, this tank could be assigned a “Moderate” rating
until the minor structural repairs and bolt replacement is completed. The tank can remain in use but
strictly monitored for any leaks and repaired immediately.
