Conference Overview
International Consortium for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research (ICIER) and BNM Institute of Technology,
Bengaluru, are jointly organizing the 6th ICIER International Conference during 14-15 December 2023 in
association with the international partners of ICIER and BNMIT. It is an interdisciplinary conference intending to
draw scholars and professionals representing a diverse perspective on strategic agility and resilience. The
conference provides a forum for showcasing the importance of agile strategies in the dynamic business, social
and economic environment. It proposes to host academic sessions (paper presentations), panel discussions and
practitioner-oriented discussions on Strategic Agility.
Considering the changing trends and preferences in conference participation, the conference will be hosted in a
hybrid mode at BNMIT campus via suitable virtual platforms, which will be communicated accordingly.
Conference Theme: Strategic Agility and Resilience: Benchmarks and Best Practices
Businesses across industry sectors and markets develop strategies in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and
ambiguous) world. Rigid strategies cannot support dynamic businesses; what we need to deal with this dynamic
situation is agility. The Strategic Agility Model is based on the premise that you know that you don’t know the
future, and therefore that your strategy is your current best guess. Agility helps navigate the uncertainty, but it
takes Resilience to make changes and bounce back in action, looking forward. Not every business recognizes this
need. It took Covid-19 for many businesses to adapt, be agile, resilient, and open-minded in formulating
strategies.
There are a host of research and deliberation opportunities for academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs and
industry practitioners to leverage on the new awakening in the industry for strategic agility and resilience. This
conference is offering a platform for them to explore the new developments and deliberate on practical solutions
with respect to strategic agility and resilience as well as contribute to the creation of new knowledge for the
future.
