Job Description: Granite EPIK Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Granite EPIK Specialist to join our team. As a Granite EPIK
Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the compatibility, reliability, and security of Granite
EPIK solutions for various analog line devices. Your expertise will enable us to provide our clients
with advanced communication capabilities, enhanced security measures, and compliance with
industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
 Conduct assessments and provide technical support for Granite EPIK solutions, ensuring
compatibility with all analog line devices, including alarm panels, POS systems, elevators,
modems, and fax machines.
 Implement and maintain Granite EPIK systems that are more reliable than traditional POTS (Plain
Old Telephone Service), utilizing 24-hour battery backup, dual SIMs, and intelligent failover
mechanisms to PRI or internet connections.
 Perform 24/7 remote out-of-band monitoring of critical alarm and voice circuits, promptly
notifying stakeholders of any issues or failures.
 Implement cellular backup solutions to maintain site connectivity in the event of primary
internet access unavailability.
 Establish advanced security measures, including end-to-edge encryption for all calls and faxes,
ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.
 Facilitate the seamless transfer of toll-free and existing DID (Direct Inward Dialing) numbers, or
assign new numbers as required.
 Configure and optimize advanced voice features such as ring-down (auto-dial when the phone
goes off-hook), call forwarding, hunt groups, and voicemail to enhance communication
capabilities.
 Documenting network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
 Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure network integration with other systems and
applications.
 Designing, configuring, and maintaining network routing and switching infrastructure.
 Implementing network changes, including the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of
routers, switches, and related equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

 Solid understanding of Granite EPIK solutions and their compatibility with analog line devices.
 Proficient in implementing and maintaining reliable Granite EPIK systems, utilizing 24-hour
battery backup, dual SIMs, and failover mechanisms.
 Experience with remote out-of-band monitoring systems and instant notification protocols for
critical alarm and voice circuits.
 Familiarity with cellular backup solutions and their integration into primary internet access.
 Expertise in implementing end-to-end encryption for secure voice and fax communications.
 Proficient in managing toll-free and DID number porting or assignment processes.
 Experience in configuring advanced voice features such as ring-down, call forwarding, hunt
groups, and voicemail.
 Hands-on experience with routers and switches.
 Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
 Proven experience in network engineering, specifically with routing and switching technologies.
 Good to have knowledge on VoIP and 4G call flow.
