PAL 4 and New Dashboard

PAL has a new face; so does the dashboard too. Dashboard is the one which will welcome the user into
the application. The diversely rich and exquisitely designed plane has a lot of interesting amenities
contained within. The system but has never forgotten to maintain its intimate relation to the other
modules. Data presentation is operated through tiles mainly and other infographics. This document
details on those salient features.

Dashboard Features
Quick Accesses

Mega Menu: An icon of prime importance, and clicking on it from the dashboard will open
collective menu structure of every module in the application. Made to feature all the menu
in a single wide pane, mega menu achieved a unique title to keep PAL easiest to access.

Instant Links is a quick access amenity to get in touch with the a specialised slot. This is
where all the pages which were tagged as favourites through the star icon in mega menu
can be seen, along with list of last viewed pages.

An SMC selector which can easily switch to any other preferred one through a distinct
dropdown tool. Based on the selection, entire data in dashboard will realign for the
selected option.

An Advanced Smart Search which is capable to sweep across the application to bring what
user has keyed in for. The search will also hold optional filters and a search history for easy
communication. Quick links to the pages will also show up in this option.

Dashboard: Swinging back to the Dashboard instantly is an easy job when the omni present
icon of dashboard stays in the task bar. Clicking on it will navigate from any page user is
surfing from, in to the dashboard in a flash.

Release Note is the news letter of application, from where user will be intimated of recent
upgrades, makeovers, and new releases. The space which lies at end of this icon has
information about all the modules with distinct sections for each of them.

Vessel Distribution: is the platform of managing vessel or fleet under the management.
This functionality will give instant access into a vast database of entire vessel and onboard
details of them. It come with search option to trace individual vessel too.

Quick Tour: A rapid response facility to show users around the PAL 4 of its new sequential
workflow. This interactive method is also backed by optional audio guidance system. This
well organised indicator will be your navigator if you feel lost.

Alerts and Notification is a notifier section with the face of a bell icon. Window it opens
is slider one and it will list all the activities at the time of occurrence. Every activity also
will reveal as a desktop pop alert overlapping all other running programs.

Exchange Rate button is a convertor which avails its service upon clicking for the easy
reckoning of transaction processes. A filter will pop up to select the subjected currency
types based on a date.

Full Screen/Exit Full Screen icons are helpful in setting the application in full view
mode, by clearing the rest of the systemic settings. Options including the task bar
of the machine will disappear when it is on. Esc key also can be used to do reverse.

User Profile holds the information on logged in user and the duration
for which the user has been online. Followed within is accessibilities
to My Vessels option and provision to manage the notification for
the user. User handbook on the dashboard also contained in the list,
as accessibility is set through User Manual option.

Logout option also has come along with the pack.

Apps Pinned is a bucket to store the array of applications which have been
tagged using the pin option through mega menu. Once the pin option is
clicked, the same option will be used to unpin
the same using menu itself.

The strip is named Status Strip which bears information on the status of vessels under the management.
This is also equipped to feature incoming and outgoing vessels as well.

Create Dashboard option is another

highlight. Any number of dashboards can
be created as per the business need of
the user. Each dashboards can have unique and distinguishing styles to hold the business angle. On
clicking Add a label creator will help to define the new dashboard’s name. Settings icon fitted along hold
further options to manage the dashboard, including making it default or even delete it.

Edit Dashboard button helps in editing the tile arrangement and

thereby organising data presentation in more of a user centric way.
Options contained in the pop-up menu offers help in refreshing
tiles, grouping tiles, arranging tiles, adding or removing tiles or
even switching for auto arrangement of tiles. Every option here
comes really handy to stylise the data in tiles specifically, as tiles
features most of the data in dashboard.

Making dashboard capable to stand for user’s choice, this edit

setting has found place in the dashboard itself.

A tile search has been fixed on to the dashboard

pane. This search tool is equipped to generate auto
type data results using the key words entry in the
search field. The results are sourced from the
predefined tiles ever created.

Clicking on one will display it in dashboard instantly.

To remove the tile from the dashboard, use the bin
shaped Remove icon placed on top of the tile.

Swift Action Tiles

A new way of tile’s interaction has been facilitated in the dashboard. Solely to save considerable amount
of time to get things done through internal pages, the system has presented new routes of task
completion using the tile. Literally, it is
capable of opening its data counterpart
from the real page in a window and
through this user can find instant action
provisions. One of the examples is given
along.

Accounts Payable Ageing tile of Accounts

module. Clicking on one record will list up
the invoice of the PO, from where the
payment can generate for the same
instantly.

Tile Properties
Every tile has been given independent control facilities to help the
user to attain customisable tile presentations. Starting with provision
to adjust the visibility settings- Small, Normal and Large views awaits
as predefined sizes to switch through. Move to option under the same
settings will help to move the tile to another dashboard if preferred.

Advanced Filter is another; Clicking on

which will give instant option, to filter
the data within the tile.

Every tile has the following settings as well. View pending actions and record histories.
Clicking on each of them will get the user in distinct graphical views with particular
data in it.
