Operation Phase and Methods

The following are the operations involved in the project after the construction phase:

● Collecting the filtered pig manure in the modified storage drum; Manually collecting the
manure then using it as an organic fertilizer and soil enhancer for agriculture.

● Personal protective equipment (PPE): Ensure that every user of the waste management
system is wearing the proper PPE, such as gloves, masks, coveralls, and boots, to
lessen contact with waste and any diseases.

● Comprehensive Training: Provide thorough instruction on correct waste management

practices, safety precautions, and equipment used by the owner and users. Inform on a
regular basis about potential risks and safe handling procedures.

● Provide adequate storage facilities for waste materials, ensuring they are safe, well-
ventilated, and constructed to avoid leaks or spills after usage. Inspect and maintain the
storage locations frequently to reduce the danger of contamination or accidents.

● Proper Waste Disposal: When disposing of waste from the piggery, abide by municipal
laws and regulations. Make sure that waste is disposed of in a manner that is
sustainable by taking into account solutions like composting, producing biogas, or safely
disposing of waste in designated facilities.

● Monitoring and Testing: To make sure the waste management system is working
properly and to identify any possible problems, regularly monitor and test it. Create an
emergency response plan that specifies how to handle problems, spills, and other
unforeseen incidents
