1. Why is employee relations important?
By the meaning of Employee relations, it refers to the utilization of developing better work relations that are often
influenced by workforce beliefs. It centralizes on maintaining positive connections between the organization and
its workers. Engaging to work in a union, would eventually create better commitments towards organizational
goals. Conflicts may be regarded as a natural disruptor of possible interactions - thus, having Employee relations,
workers would ultimately be more integrated and harmonious towards each other.
A firm must be perceived as a team, sharing the same goals and loyalty, one acceptable leader and source of
authority. Likewise, its notion is for the betterment of any affiliate; as the company is determined as an integrated
legal structure, it must engage in a path without questioning, which among the crossroads should it continue its
future. My point here; workers are needed to be consolidated to make the association wholly in nature. Any
decisions declared must be agreed upon by employees who work among sections and subsections since they are
associated with the company. They must be regarded as vital stakeholders and not just as paid laborers.
Not only does that make a firm a single entity, but it also provides opportunities for developing their workers to
be more competent delegates. Whether it may be new or old employees, any job holders are liable to hone their
skills as they work for any company. Having a mutual link with any of your subordinates and managers will let
you distinguish their exceptional talents that are beneficial for the organization. Instead of searching for other
individuals fit for a managerial job, let your agent take over. Training wouldn't be costly compared to recruitments
that would usually cost the company money. Likewise, other subordinates would be relieved to have their peer as
their leader, rather than having an unfamiliar newcomer.
Then again, Conflicts are still inevitable among a contrasting group of laborers. By which the essence of
employee relations can be well-applied. The organization is composed of sub-groups that have their objectives
and leaders based on their function or specialty. With so, unions are not as prominent as they are since each has its
perspectives. Furthermore, employee relations establish open-minded workers that are engaged in creativity. In a
sense that individuals have to strategize a plan by which everyone would have agreed. They're persistent in setting
up strategies and mechanisms to disseminate any encountered dispute.
Human resource is a difficult thing to manage. In principle, everyone had their personalized views and
comprehensions towards any matter. Therefore, employee relations are a way of connecting to your most vital
stakeholders.

1. Explain the management of change and diversity in the workplace.
The market is known for its inconstant nature, as time proceeds there are newly developing trends in society.
Therefore, the organizations must necessarily adapt to these changes to sustain themselves. Now comes the
management of Change and Diversity that is practiced by successful affiliates.
To define Management of Change and Diversity, it is an approach where everyone is allowed to endeavor new
things that are not only for the likeness of the organization but to their benefit as well. It is a transitional process
of interchangeable events, from the current to the desired future state. The association can benefit from this
approach by enhancing its ability to adapt to any marketing environment. Same as with the people under this
submission, they’re in a position where creativity must be considered in developing corporate strategies –
considering contemporary obstacles they face. Determining technologies and mechanisms will eventually help
employees acquire knowledge as they undergo training as delegates. Moreover, Management of Change and
Diversity makes the association more responsive than their competitors as they’re constantly aligning their
organization to the current marketplace.
As it is a transition process, there are several errors and consequences that may arrive. Subordinates are confused
as they’re exposed to an event that is out of their specialization. If leaders fail to guide and comply with their
concerns, then there’s no way of making their vision more explicit. This failure can be due to their lack of
effective communication; the leader is responsible to build mutual relationships with the people under him, thus it
is a key to initiating successful interactions. Declaring victories too soon is not a good thing either, though short-
term wins are regarded; there’s still an evident chance of losing again. Simply because competitors were still
consistent, therefore, perseverance must be observed.
Leaders are accountable for ensuring that these obstacles will be diminished for the team’s capability of
fortunately implementing change. This is why leaders must ensure to pick individuals that are believed to be
competent for the job. Upon doing increased urgency, the team must be well assessed with their vision for them to
be guided in any direction. This would remove potential barriers and should empower action among the group. To
come to a conclusion, Management of Change and Diversity is an intricate yet advantageous approach which not
only to enhance an institution’s performance but also to develop competent delegates that would help unify the
organization.

I.C.A. Learning Gains
1. Why is controlling important in every business organization?
Controlling is a management function that comes after planning, organizing, staffing, and leading. It is considered
to be the key element of achieving a successful implementation of the objective organizational tasks and goals.
The importance of organizing is centralized on its impact on the organization. Since controlling involves checking
the assessment of actions and evaluation of results, the established standards during the planning function are
possibly attained.
The planning phase focuses on the need to achieve stated and well-defined objectives. It sets a systematic line of
determined actions where qualities are settled in order to obtain commendable outcomes. Such as the efficiency of
their operation’s processes and providing a sustainable equilibrium between the company’s demand and supply.
And additionally, produce services that are up to the standards of their audience. For the institution’s operations to
go accordingly, controlling is associated with this managerial function.
The controlling function gives a huge contribution to the firm by maintaining its performance through
measurements. Since every course of action is eagerly scrutinized, the navigation of potential errors is skillfully
navigated through quantifiable processes. By identifying the condition of the performance of the system, using its
output during a stage of the process, we are able to correlate it to the initiated plan. The concept of control is
designed to set a methodological measurement. Therefore, with the identified condition, the management should
be able to inspect the volume of inaccuracy and error.
Eventually, they can compare the state of their performance with the set plans to see if the factors are either
among or beyond what’s acceptable. Therefore, it tends to implement immediate corrective action towards the
miscalculations to avoid deviation in the organizational plans. If errors are addressed with an obsolete response,
company assets are likely to be affected. Due to a detrimental impact on their resources, a huge wastage would
cost extensive financial compensation. Budgeting and auditing are connoted to the concept of control so that
resources would be properly allocated and the stabilization of variations are acknowledged.
Moreover, through the implementation of corrective actions, one is able to amend previous actions through the
feedback received. Thus, Controlling is a significant managerial function since it aims to provide a more desirable
outcome for the institution.
I.D. Week 6
I.D.A. Learning Gains
1. Why is it necessary for managers to have knowledge of other functional areas of management?
In the concept of organizational environment, a firm is an integrated whole composed of diversified people.
During the recruitment and selection process, the goal is to ensure that the attributes of the employer are well
fitted for the Job. Therefore, the presence of job description, title, classification, and specification supports the
existence of the variation of duties in a corporation. Furthermore, even with specialization, managers are obliged
to have a broad sense of knowledge in various aspects. One’s comprehension must never be limited to its
predominant expertise. Given the title of “manager”, he is responsible to consult and guide his subordinates. Even
under the same classification, there might be instances involved in other managerial areas that require immediate
forwarding. Therefore, we must consider that a manager should be proficient not only in the things he is
specialized in but also in things that are potentially associated with his specialization.
The managerial areas are distinct in their ways. Each Functional area provides a significant contribution to the
organization. With this connotation, I will be elaborating each of their importance to justify the need for a
manager to be knowledgeable about them.
Marketing Management is associated with the process of business performance. To planning and promotion, they
manage the equilibrium between the rates of their demand and supply. In the exchange of products, they aim to
satisfy both organizational objectives and consumer satisfaction. Since the area is engaged in attracting demands
for the organization, they are closely correlated with Operations Management. The manager is accountable to
know the condition of the production department for them to either initiate a promotion or not. If the inventory is
susceptible enough to supply the given demands of their target audience. At the same time, managers from the
Operations management should be aware of when to commence their production process. It is important to use
their inventory accordingly for them to avoid wastage in their resources.
Operations Management is concerned with the production process of the company. The Marketing seeks for the
demand while the Operations Area fills in the demand with supply. Their function is to manage the inventory and
the organization’s resources. Managers from this Management must discuss the number of expenses needed for
the manufacturing phase to allocate their resources correctly. Operations Management connotes the concept of
budgeting. This indicates that the Financial Department aren’t the only ones obliged to be proficient in it.
Financial management is known for its systematic distribution of company money. Whether the finances of the
organization be channeled to its assets, liabilities, investments, dividends for investors, wages, resource
production, etc. Consequently, they are accountable for any miscalculations on their allocation since they are
responsible for handling the firm’s capital. Therefore, the managers must develop a quantifiable system where
they can record each valuable data statistic. For them to provide plausible reports to the higher management.
Therefore, this designates that information management isn’t only applicable for the ICT, but their functional
group as well.
Lastly, ICT Management can potentially be associated with any of the Managerial functions. Since this aspect is
concerned with telecommunications and information storage, thus any managerial field can be correlated with it.
Managers for this department must be knowledgeable in regards to the quantitative system of recording financial
records from the Financial Management. They could also be possibly obliged to follow up the records from the
operations management in terms of their use of resources. Moreover, in their specialization in
telecommunications, they are capable of business transactions with clients. Therefore, promotions can also be
included in their specializations.

II.A. Week 1
II.A.A. Activity No. 4
Write a reflective journal of the geologic time scale concept in relation to creation of the Earth in the Bible.
Both the Geologic and Biblical Concepts of the Earth’s development are contrasting. Yet despite this difference,
there are a few points that would consider their interrelatedness with each other. Beforehand, let’s discuss their
notions for us to determine their distinction and likeness.
(You may skip paragraphs 2 & 3 if only focusing on the relation of the geologic time scale and the Biblical
Creation)
The geological time scale is founded with scientific assertions. Men discover prehistoric remains, prominently
fossils. Experts of this field establish their hypotheses that were associated with those findings. Though
uncertainty may prevail, these educated guesses are enough to justify their beliefs as they tend to discover more
pieces of evidence on their exploration. Their concept focuses on long-time processes, which were assumed to
have taken pl ace billions and millions of years ago. On the creation of the universe, many theories were issued,
yet the Big Bang Theory is the most distinguished. This theory implies the world was infinitely dense originally,
then it (as to how scientists described it) abruptly inflated extensively at unimaginable speed.
Let’s have a brief discussion on what is the considered time frame in their notion. Various planetesimal matters
began to accumulate, thus forming our Earth (Hadean Phase). The planet was enclosed with magma ocean during
the first division of geologic time. There’s no permanent surface, not until the Archean Eon. It was the period
when molten matter began to cool down, hence creating rigid landforms. Proto-continents were shaped, there’s a
leading formation of oceans and rivers. With the presence of water forms, it was enough to support the existence
of prokaryotic cells. Later, during the Proterozoic phase - other cells appeared, like Cyanobacteria (nucleus
contained), capable of photosynthesis. Subsequently, (the next period) Phanerozoic eon is a subdivision that
mainly focuses on the evolution of animals. Furthermore, after the three periods mentioned (under the first
interval), men became more prominent while other animals grew in extinction. Life proceeds to cultivate as time
goes by until the present time.
Biblical aspects relating to creation are more condensed compared to geological time). It was covered by chapters
1 & 2 of the book of Genesis. Mainly, there are six days of creation. On the first day, before God utter “Let there
Be Light", the universe was formless, dark, and void. Then, there was a division of layers, the heaven (not the
typical heaven) and (assumingly) the ground which makes up the second day of creation. The third day pertains to
the rise of drylands among vast seas, capable of vegetation/cultivation of plants. The fourth day follows the
placement of the Sun, Moon, and Stars to diverge the day with the night. Creatures began to immerge for the fifth
day, dominating the skies and seas. Thereafter, land animals were present, Humans came after them. The first
Human – Adam was appointed by God, letting them watch over everything that He had created.
In the engagement of the essence of both aspects, we may now regard their differences and similarities to discern
their interrelatedness if there’s any; Geological time scales tend to be more detailed while Biblical notion is short
yet precise. Their time of development; Geological Scales tend to postulate Billion years on the formation of the
Earth, while it only took six days for the Creator to complete as stated in the Holy Context. Additionally, on the
scientific belief, everything was made out of naturalism, thus, the Bible contradicts the idea.
Surprisingly, numerous points would consider a mutual relationship between the two;
1. Scientifically, experts believed that everything began with a loud bang that echoed across the universe, hence
studies proved this occurrence by discovering spots of evidence across the cosmos. Relating to the first day of
creation when God gave light upon the darkness using words.
2. The first animals to ever live on Earth were water animals, namely sponges. In the Biblical creation, water
animals were also the first ones to ever exist before land creatures.
3. Humans came along with land animals, though they undergo a series of development (Researched-based), yet it
still connects with the Biblical aspect.
I may only consider the two as contrasting as to the fact that science accumulates multiples of questions and
theories. Separating us from the most important parts. Scientific studies diverge with Biblical truths, yet end up
navigating real facts that were already stated. Geological time scale is the intricate version of the Creation
narrative; however, it keeps creating irrelevant ideas and proceeds to build theories that do not support the fact
that there’s a God who created everything.
II.A.B. Learning Gains
a. According to the estimated geological time scale, how old is the Earth? And how was the Earth formed?
Using the principles of the geological time scale, the earth is 4.5 billion years of age. The geological time interval
was divided into 4 parts, Eon, Era, Period, and Epoch. Discussing the earth’s formation, we will centralize on the
eon interval since it focuses on its structural development. This time is considered the longest among all-time
intervals, allocated into four subdivisions; Hadean, Archean, Protozoic, and Phanerozoic Eon. Before time, a loud
bang echoed extensively across a void world. Thus, this refers to the Big Bang Theory, which is assumed to be the
first event to occur.
Following the first eon, Hadean; when matter began to integrate, planetesimal matters linked to form Lifeless
Earth. During the eon, the planet was covered by magma oceans. The denser molten iron sinks below to form the
earth’s core, following the mantle and other layers of the world. Archean eon was the time when all things cooled
down. It led to the emergence of volcano arcs and various landforms such as Proto-continents. Water was
provided through condensed processes that supported the existence of the first recorded bacteria and
cyanobacteria. Cells prospered, and the first animals, Eukaryotes, appeared. These are nucleus-contained cells
during the Proterozoic era. Few of the divided protocontinents were merged as continents, forming large plates.
Because of the abundance of water, bacteria became predominant throughout the earth. Phanerozoic eon was the
life of living creatures, most animals emerged from evolution and commenced living on our planet harmoniously.
Firstly, there were lesser land animals, not until the Mesozoic era. One of the major eras to be highly regarded is
the Cenozoic Era; aside from various life forms, the earth’s continents assumed their modern configuration and
geographic positions, having flora and fauna evolved until the present. Belatedly, men started to civilize the area,
and here we are. Though there were instances of extinction, nonetheless the past events have shaped our planet
like the Earth we’ve come to know in the present time.
b. In relation to creation, what do you think of the geological time scale concept? Do you agree on this? Why or
why not?
In regards to the geological time scale, its concept of Creation is agreeable in some parts. I only agree with the
Biblical Aspect of Creation, and to justify my case, I’ll be linking the two. Seeing what parts made me conform to
some of its notions;
1. Even the geological time scale doesn’t include the Big Bang Theory, it can be considered as one of its main
foundations in the very beginning. God created light in the first events of Creation, an ignited spark that
brightened the void, lifeless Universe. The Big Bang theory pertains in the same way; Scientists guessed there
was a huge bang that echoed among the Cosmos and was proven for their discovered traces in space. We can
assumingly say that this bang was the light that God had provided. More so, (I assume) science doesn’t support
the fact that God exists, only speculating that things were created in naturalism despite the evidence remains.
2. I simply believe that the Geological Time Scale is the detailed version of the Biblical Creation. To our belief,
the world was created in six days whereas the time scale assumed that things occurred in a billion-year process.
Yet if you scrutinize the order of their phases of events, they’re the same (in some parts).
Though my knowledge may be lacking, the first animals to ever occupy Earth were aquatic life forms, and the
Biblical Creation told us that Water animals came before the land animals. In Geologic Scale, Humans began to
emerge when land animals came along – More surprisingly, Adam was created when the land animals were
created. God stated the Land animals first on the sixth day thus they were the first ones to exist. Followed by Man,
which was later mentioned.
What made us lacking in figuring out this relativity is the evolution theory. Science believed that Humans came
from Animals that had evolved as time proceeds, whereas God made them Himself. He made them distinct among
other creatures in a way that they have their own will. Monkeys may be intelligent, but men are more superior.
Science may also have missed some points, one of which is that everything was placed accordingly, even for the
tiniest structures of atoms which can’t be justified by naturalism. Moreover, Biblical Creation didn’t further state
the geological development of Earth.
Furthermore, I am not fully able to support my developed theories, yet that is what I solely believe despite science
not believing in God’s existence when their study is being evident on that fact. That’s all
II.B. Week 3
II.B.A. Learning Gains
1. If Philippines is vulnerable to disasters, what should be your part and response to it?
The Philippines is prone and vulnerable to disasters. As a citizen of the country, one should take part in the
implemented countermeasures and must be active in response to any approaching phenomena. In this present
state, my part would be my submission in the government’s risk mitigation movements. Likewise, even there are
organizations in charge, one could potentially enlighten the society with the precautionary measures that must be
done for the following conditions. Using prominent platforms such as the social media, a student is capable of
educating his/her peers using the warning systems of either Hydrometeorological and Geological hazards. It could
be a simple way of disseminating information and engaging public awareness among the community. With our
cognizance regarding the following awareness, we are capable of conducting a mitigated response. A student like
me would be able to have a systematic approach since I am conditioned with the particulars. And everyone should
also be the same. Therefore, it is significant to take part with the countermeasures to lessen potential casualties to
ourselves and to the community.
2. Is awareness and preparation important in facing disasters? Why?
I agree that awareness and preparation are vital in facing detrimental disasters since we should avoid inevitable
casualties. Throughout time, disastrous events had proven how dangerous they can be to our society. Numerous
people died and were injured due to their lack of mindfulness regarding the preparations and the disaster itself.
Moreover, the community is oblivious of their vulnerability which is why there’s a great need to conduct safety
countermeasures and dissemination. Risk assessment, vulnerability analysis, and public awareness are some of the
actions that must be implemented prior to facing disasters.
Not only that disaster devastates our community, it also affects other aspects that sustain our daily living. A good
example of this case would be our economy. Geological or Hydrometeorological hazards can potentially destroy
establishments, alongside the resources used to produce consumable products for the community. If the
administration failed to implement and prepare mitigation measures, then it will result in an economic shock that
would eventually cause an economic recession. To further elaborate; if the hazards sabotaged our resources, there
will be an abrupt decrease in the number of products. Since there’s no material available for its production. Once
there is a short supply of commodities alongside its high demand from our society, then there will be an
imbalance in our nation’s economic state. This is why the government legislates mitigating countermeasures to
further avoid costly casualties and alleviate the safety of society. Moreover, this justifies the significance of
awareness and preparation among us in facing disastrous events
3. Why do you think there is a law for Disaster Risk Reduction?
The government had legislated a law for Disaster Risk Reduction to mitigate possible casualties in the community
and our nation’s welfare. Firstly, a disaster is defined as a serious disruption in our functional capability as a
society. It is capable of causing widespread impacts among humans to economical and environmental losses.
The aftermath of these disastrous phenomenon makes it hard for us to cope since it involves financial support.
With the demolition of infrastructures and resources, the environment may fail to produce more resources in a
demanded time and so, the economy fluctuates abruptly. The GNP of the country decreases. In a sense that there
will be skyrocketing prices due to the shortage of supply with high demand from the consumers. Basis
Commodities becomes costly hence, an imbalance will occur that will likely result in a recession. Moreover, the
safety of the people is at stake in the disastrous events. The phenomenon results in numerous moralities since the
community is oblivious to their vulnerability. And it places the government to act upon some implementation.
Legislating laws is one of the best options to alleviate risk reduction. Laws can engage various actions such as the
requirement of risk and hazard assessments. That prepares the individuals with the countermeasures. Furthermore,
this justifies the necessity for implementing regulations in accordance with mitigating disaster risks.

II.C.A. Learning Gains
A. Life is valuable, how can we take care of it?
The component of existence that processes, acts, reacts, analyzes, and is capable of change is known as life. It is
competent in growth, reproduction, ability to adapt, and metabolism. As a living being, life itself is a complex
concept, whether on a biological or philosophical basis. As an integrated whole, we are composed of various
systems that define ourselves as an individual. Both Physical and Mental, it contributes to the personality we
manifest as a living being. In this instance, “the meaning of life is to give life a meaning”. Everyone would define
it from their perspective, but generally, life itself is a gift. As given an opportunity to live a life, even in a
temporal world, we are to witness things that would distinguish the greatness of a more Superior Being. Given a
will to decide, we are able to see more of what life has to offer us.
Life isn’t just centralized in ourselves as it pertains to any existing living being. The complexity of its concept
ranges from humans to the world we reside in. As we interact with our environment, we are opened to its essence
that will let us perceive why life is many things. Life is exquisite to see other living forms change as time passes.
The inception of growth validates that our given ability of transfiguration is simply satisfying. Even the life we
have is formidable, given our ability to adapt, we are challenged to develop ourselves. Despite change being
originally inclined to our physical properties, change is about blossoming. Undergoing in the process of
metamorphosis, we can look back to see that life, what it had to offer us, is indeed many things.
How can we compensate for the value of life if it is primarily valuable? It was the beginning of our survival, aside
from its opposing sides. How can it survive for us if we can survive because of it? I'll give a simplified response
to a complicated question. We defend to demonstrate our concern. Leaving the advantages aside, life is a valuable
gift from our Creator for us to manage. Seeing a lovely life provides an underlying motive for us to retain it.
Despite this, our world's life is on the verge of extinction.
If we are to prove that we are capable of its possession, we protect to show that we care and we care to show that
we protect. Since life is many things, there are many ways on how we can do the following things. If it meant in
ourselves, we do things that are for the betterment of our welfare. Based on the environmental aspect, the simplest
way of doing so is that we reduce things that could be harmful in their account. Such as our simple ways to
continue living, the systematic technologies that gradually consume the essence of what it takes to live. To think
that what we create is what destroys our latitude of seeing more of life. Instead of taking life to the brink of
extinction, we must help it reproduce to make it more abundant again. Preserving more of the endangered species
and bringing back the explicitness of its core concept. Let us make life be defined by anything other than nothing
to show how we are capable of keeping it.
B. How would you express gratitude to God as the author and the creator of life?
We must acknowledge and be appreciative of God's benefits because He is the originator and creator of life.
Knowing that He created everything flawlessly shows that life is unmistakably unique. Even in a transient world,
living a life is more than a blessing. We can see a variety of elements that contribute to our Creator's
magnificence. We are unquestionably blessed to have Him as the author of our lives. Even though we are not
obligated to do so, we must recognize our responsibility to Him.
We must do everything for His glory as a gesture of respect and gratitude, and as His creation. Not only did He
create our life in the biological sense, but He also nourished us throughout our lives with His constant provision.
As we travel through life, we are likely to come across a variety of situations. And it is as a result of those
conditions that we have fully evolved as admirable individuals. Eventually, we will be able to reflect on the
difficulties we have faced and confidently state that God, aside from being our Creator, has been everything He is
for our benefit. At the end of the day, the best way we can show our gratitude to Him is to thank Him for
everything He has done for us.
Additionally, the predominant purpose of our existence is to give reverence to the Lord through our submission in
His presence. Connoting the fact that we must learn to submit to God’s calling fervently and passionately and not
out of some burdensome responsibility. Our gratitude must not be defined as the obligation we are to do so.
Therefore, we are to commit the will that He had given to us. There’s no other greater purpose other than to live
for God’s glory.

III.A.A. Mga Natutunan
A. Gawain.
1. mang + batas = Mambabatas | Asimilasyong Parsyal
2.halal + halalan = (diing mabilis + diing maragsa) | Paglilipat-diin
(Ito ay nauso dahil sa papalapit na ang eleksyon)
3.takip + an = takpan | Pagkakaltas ng Ponema
(Ito ay karamihang makikita sa mga balitang tungkol sa mga isyung pampolitiko)
4.bukas + an = buksan | Pagkakaltas ng Ponema
8.Shunga >Shu + Tanga = Shunga | Pag-aangkop
9.tokhang > toktok + hangyo = tokhang | Pag-aangkop
10. -in- + laban = Linaban > Nilaban | Metatesis
nito.
| IV. SOCIAL SCIENCE |
IV. A. Week 1
IV.A.A. Learning Gains
1. Why is pakikipagkapwa an important aspect of socialization? Would you agree that it should be the foremost
Filipino value? Why or why not?
Firstly, to define pakikipagkapwa, it’s a part of the Filipino principle where it’s believed to be an essential thing
that a person could do. Its essence would be an individual’s capability of having a good relationship with peers or
fellow individuals; “kapwa”. Pakikipagkapwa is more of a selfless act. One is looking after others instead of
oneself through helping them with a virtuous intention. Whoever follows this does not hope to hurt others, hence
this applies to the golden rule of Confucius of not doing to others what you do not want to be done to yourself.
Pakikipagkapwa with its’ sense, I certainly accept the point to consider it as a significant aspect of socialization.
To justify my case, socialization pertains to one's relation with others. Its concept also involves becoming an
associate of a certain society. With this, it integrates everyone among them, building a unified community.
Consequently, pakikipagkapwa is the key to establishing secure healthy alliances. In general, the people manifest
peace and fellowship, and for one to be welcomed, you can replicate through showing that you care for them and
intend to be one with their group. You cannot compromise without having mutuality with each other. However, in
some scenarios, the community can be contrasting, yet this doesn’t mean you cease showing good actions towards
them. Pakikipagkapwa is more than just a Filipino value, it's a Human principle to which everyone must conform.
I would agree that pakikipagkapwa should be the first and foremost Filipino value. Filipinos are known to be
hospitable people, and this shows a just cause for making it a dearest principle for the country. We’re friendly
individuals, prominent for building harmonious relationships. Recalling our past, we’re able to achieve
commendable feats as to the result of our heroes’ pakikipagkapwa. Their integration was the foundation of our
country’s historical exploits, none could have taken place if there's no unification. Filipinos before became
patriots out of selflessness, they protected the nation because the people cared for were under it. Simply putting it
this way: Pakikipagkapwa is the root of hope for the Filipino folks and I see no reason for making it the most
beloved value of our homeland.

IV. C. Week 3
IV.C.A. Learning Gains
1. With regards to the topic discussed, how your membership in various types of groups has influenced your
thoughts, attitudes, values & behavior. Describe specific examples of these influences.
A group is defined as an integration of individuals that share the same likeness. Whether it may be a belief,
tradition, interest, experience, or goal, they tend to establish norms and jointly do interactions consistently. With
this explanation, we can contemplate that any person involved in a group is believable to change. The structure of
a group is founded by commonness thus conformity is evident in this case. With the connotation of conformity,
the person is obligated to submit to achieve a sense of belongingness. We’re then molded in our act of compliance
for the sake of convenience.
In one’s personal experience; though I’m not prominently associated with numerous groups, some valuable ones
managed to shape my attitude, behavior, and perspective. To elaborate my process of change;
1. I am a tedious individual. We lived a simple life in a rural area. Being unfamiliar with the crowded society, my
interactions with other people are rare. I was unsocial and eventually became more approachable when I met my
classmates. My class is composed of different variations of individuals, but overall, my section was surely noisy.
Spending four years with them has made me an interactive person.
My association with a line of diverse people allowed me to change my social skills. Their variation influenced me
in such a way that I can potentially adapt to some individuals in my age. Strangers or not, I became more open
since their impact changed my behavior when it comes to social approaches.
2. Teenagers are deviant to the conformed standards of the previous generation. The adolescence period is a time
of searching for oneself, therefore it was a phase of trying things. Though new endeavors are a good thing,
recklessness is unfavorable. Some teens end up making the worst decisions that contribute a detrimental impact
on their life. My family and closest friends managed to save me from these cases due to their beliefs and
perspectives.
With my family’s refined and meticulous behavior, half of my attributes are based on theirs. Their virtuous
perspective became the basis of my views in life. Some of these viewpoints are the awareness of the reality of life;
“Whenever your position in life is right now, it’s either you exceed or stay in that position”. Since my father came
from an inferior family, he made sure that his children wouldn’t experience difficulties. My mother reassured me
that I must make sensible decisions, thus, it made me a more rational person. Their outlook in such aspects has
impacted my choice of friends. “Your companion reflects who you are”, therefore I only chose the ones that had
the same mindset as mine. For years of friendship, I was able to remain my mindfulness. Eventually, my best
friends were able to show me a wider scope of reality, therefore their influence was greatly beneficial on my
account. In such way that I established myself to be a filial daughter and a person who’s willing to help anyone in
need.

V.A. Week 1
V.A.A. Learning Gains
a. What have you learned in this lesson?
As we have tackled a new lesson, I was able to regain some of the most significant information regarding
exponents. The Property of Equality for Exponential Equations was recalled as per our lessons that were about
Exponential Functions. Furthermore, various applications of exponential factors were discussed throughout the
lesson. The first application is the real-life situations, represented by the exponential principles. It’s for the
purpose to calculate accurate results depending on time and the given data/variable. It is a more convenient way
of estimating results thus it can be implemented in scientific studies, financial computations, etc.
I have come to know about compound interests, which is the part that I find interesting in this lesson. Its definition
would be; the principle applied by any investors that when you invest money and fund it again, despite the
stagnant interest rate; your money will grow. It’s a great way of introducing students to some investing notions for
us to be assessed on the funding aspects of the future. Moreover, the next exponential function approach had
brought me back to my previous 9th-grade lessons.
The concept was a recollecting memory for me and I still find it useful. In this case, even it was a review, I’ve still
come to grasp some vital points to be considered, such as how to turn fractions into exponential bases.
Exponential Inequalities’ procedure is as same as exponential functions. However, I’ve learned some of its
substantial notes upon equating the Inequalities. Such as; all intervals with positive signs are solutions if f(x) is
greater than 0, if the equation says otherwise, then intervals with negative signs are solutions. On top of that, I’ve
had a fun time learning these lessons.
b. How can you apply these learnings in your life?
To be honest, I can’t seem to justify the query, since I assume that exponents can only be encountered in scientific
and mathematical subjects. However, as I can vividly recall, some of my learnings include the situational
applications of Exponential functions, which can be applied in my life.
The process for its calculations relies on the given variables, depending on the problem. One represents the time
of schedule indicated, while the other is the number of a specific object. In this approach, we’re trying to
determine how much the number will increase or decrease in the designated time. Moreover, this mechanism can
be implemented during my scholastic work hours. To elaborate on this enactment, firstly, I should estimate how
many tasks I could cover for an hour.
Assuming, I could finish at least two of my daily tasks in an hour (let’s be honest) – and have at least 6 hours to
work every day. Then I would calculate the following to ascertain the results of how many tasks I can finish in 6
hours per day. I am uncertain if the example is correct, but there’s still room for modifications. Furthermore, that
is my point, I could utilize my schedule by knowing how many chores I have done for the day. It could serve as a
tip for enhancing my productivity. Likewise, that’s all I could ever think of.
V.B. Week 2
V.B.A. Supplementary Activity
Observations:
In my observations as I've solved the following functions, there are two factors that affect their properties and
behavior in the cartesian plane: their base and exponent. The base determines the location of the graph; if it's
positive, it is located at the upper side of the cartesian plane and in the lower part if otherwise. The exponents
determine the relation of x with f(x); if it's positive, both x and f(x)'s value of property either increase or decrease
and both contradict each other if it's negative.
BASES
2^x and 2^-x have similar bases that are positive. Therefore, all values of f(x) are positive. And both of the graphs
are located at the upper section of the cartesian plane.
-(2^x) and -(2^-x) have similar bases that are negative. Therefore, all values of f(x) are negative. And both graphs
are located at the lower section of the cartesian plane.
EXPONENTS
2^x and -(2^x) have similar exponents that are positive. Therefore, x and f(x) values both increases or decrease
exponentially.
2^-x and -(2^-x) have similar exponents that are negative. Therefore, when the value of x increases, the value of
f(x) decreases exponentially and vice versa.
V.C. Week 4
V.C.A. Learning Gains
1. What is the importance of simple and compound interest?
Firstly, simple and compound interest are terms commonly encountered in Business Mathematics. These are
widely applicable in the investment approaches of either an individual or a firm. The difference between simple
and compound interest would be its system of calculation with the Creditor’s invested money. The basis of their
increase would either be the time interval of the lending or the maturity value that is to be invested once again.
Both are either way significant to the investor.
To discuss the importance of simple and compound interest; their contribution to the state of the economy
justifies their vitality. Interest rates are the price of money. Starting from Creditors and Debtors, their usual
purpose for their approach would be the need to either grow their funds or buy assets.
Interest rates from creditors are responsible for the economy’s fluctuating conditions. The number of these rates
determines the response of the person. If the rate is either high for the Creditor to invest or low for the Debtor to
borrow money. Moreover, each could widely affect the rest of the economy.
When the investment outlook is good, interest rates tend to move higher to compensate investors who could earn
even higher returns in risky assets like stocks. But rates decline when investors have a lower risk appetite and
higher demand for conservative and stable cash flow.
Taking everything into account, interest rates are the basis for Simple and Compound interests’ Maturity value.
Compound interest causes your wealth to grow at a faster pace if the interest rate is high. Its concept makes a sum
of money grow at a faster rate than simple interest since you will earn returns on the money you invest, as well as
on returns at the end of every compounding period. Moreover, compound interest is likely advantageous to
investors who demand higher compensations. With a high return of funds, investors would be more capable of
establishing businesses or buying other assets. Eventually, the possibility of their inception would ripple to the
rest of the economy. It would feasibly boost employment rates or even wages.
On the contrary, compound interests don’t work well with Debtors. Simple interests are more suitable when
you’re a borrower since the overall amount of pay would be lower compared with compound interest. Instead of
founding the total with the accumulated value, they would only base the maturity on the principal amount and the
period. However, their significance in investors wouldn’t be justified since it will only provide a low rate of
reimbursement.
2. How can you apply these learnings in your life?
As an individual undertakes adulthood, one must be mindful of the financial aspects for him/her to be readily
engaged to their financial goals. The lesson discussed was the inception of this engagement since it presents some
of the common concepts of financial computations in business math. Prior to the main content of the lesson,
we’ve discussed some basic terminologies such as Principal and Interest. Such terms are widely applicable since
they’re commonly encountered when one is investing. Upon familiarizing these terminologies, one is capable of
comprehending any notion to be discussed in Business Mathematics.
In the lesson proper, we’ve tackled various formulas concerning calculating simple and compound interest. Both
are systems applied when investing, affected by factors such as time (in years), interest rate, and the accumulated
maturity value of the principal. In future events, their formulas can be practiced when I, for one, would be
investing in a bank or firm.
It is a necessity for one to budget, save, make and grow money. If growing your funds wouldn’t be part of the
process, then your financial goals are obsolete. Even you efficiently budget, save and make money, it’s still
insufficient to achieve higher ends of a financial state if that is what you aspire. Therefore, investing money is the
best option to grow your funds through compromising compensations. Through learning about the computations
of both simple and compound interests, I would know which of the investments will be worth the try. The
following formulas will help me determine the maturity value of my deposited principal. With that, I am able to
invest my money rationally with lesser risks.
Furthermore, the lesson can be utilized in my taken course since it is implementable in accounting, marketing, and
production. Business Mathematics is more than useful to commercial institutions, beneficial in the sense that it
helps them accumulate and allocate their data systematically. I suppose that I could probably utilize these
learnings as I proceed with my academic course as an accountant and my dream job as a corporate manager.
V.D. Week 6
V.D.A. Learning Gains
1. What is the importance of propositions and its different type of operators?
Propositional logic is the branch of logic concerned with the methods of joining and/or modifying entire
propositions, statements, or sentences to form more complicated propositions, statements, or sentences, as well as
the logical relationships and properties derived from these methods of combining or altering statements. It
examines the use of logical operators and connectives to create complex assertions whose truth-value is solely
determined by the truth-values of the simpler claims. It is assumed that each statement is either true or false, but
not both. Furthermore, any term or phrase used to influence one statement or combine numerous statements to
generate a more intricate statement is referred to as a logical operator. Operators in English include terms like
"and," "our," "not," "if... then...", "because," and "necessarily."
Logical operators are mathematical structures that follow a set of clear rules to join assertions to produce new
propositions. Its relevance is based on each of its ideas, which have the power to impact whether assertions are
true or untrue. The concept of the statement of propositions may alter depending on the Operator utilized. It could
be classified as either true or untrue, offer an alternative, or come to a conclusion based on a hypothesis. Their
claims could raise either true or false allegations. As a result, the role of Logical Operators in propositions is
critical, as their final utterances will reveal their reinstalled concept.
In addition, In artificial intelligence, propositional logic is utilized for planning, problem-solving, intelligent
control, and, most crucially, decision-making. True and False values aren’t just the constant thing to be certain of
since uncertainties can potentially occur. Thus, it laid the groundwork for machine learning algorithms. It is a
handy tool for reasoning, but it's limited by the fact that it can't look inside prepositions or exploit links between
them. Moreover, in any programming language, logical operators play a crucial role in assisting us in making
judgments depending on particular conditions. If we wish to combine the results of two conditions, we can use the
logical AND, OR logical operators to achieve our goal.
2. How can you apply these learnings in your life?
In terms of their contribution to a statement, propositions and logical operators play a crucial role. With the use of
connectors, propositional approaches are coupled to make a declaration. These connectors have an impact on how
the propositions will be expressed as declarative statements. Propositions are used in our daily lives without our
knowledge. As we communicate with people, we have a tendency to create allegations. Furthermore, the claims
expressed can be accurate or incorrect, which relates to the concept of propositions. The information we share
may or may not be accurate, which raises questions about our reliability. If the following lessons are applied in
one's life, it may help one to be more conscious of the words she speaks.
In Science and Mathematics, using logical operators is critical in stating the thesis. Because these lessons are
linked to the following factors, I am confident that I will be able to use them to write a thesis. Propositions, as
stated, are concerned with the factual basis or results that determine the state of one's conscience. As a result, I am
able to connect the two concepts. Furthermore, when employing Logical Connectors, I must select the best one in
order to maintain the essence of the following proposition. Being mindful that the word "not" is used to depict the
argument as a false allegation, while the phrases "and," "our" are used to emphasize more or to give a significant
alternative. "If and only if" to specify conditional propositions "If and only if" to present a hypothesis with a
conclusion. Knowing this, I will not make any straying adjustments when delivering thoughts to the receiver.
| VI. ENGLISH – ORAL COMMUNICATION |
VI.A. Week 3
VI.A.A Lesson Assessment
A. Reflect on what you consider to be your most successful experience in interpersonal or public communication.
What made you say it was successful? What factors helped you succeed?
To be honest with this question, I’m the type of individual who doesn’t always succeed in
interactions/communications. Especially public communications elevate my anxiety. I remembered my first days
in junior high, everything was new. We had this project where we get to share our research about Philippine
culture in front of the class. I was for sure, embarrassed when I was on the platform. Eventually, things did not go
well. This situation is the same as with my interactions with my new classmates. Some of my JHS classmates
regarded me as “unsociable” since I ignored their enthusiastic approach. Despite these situations, there were
instances when fate offered me a successful experience in interpersonal or public communication.
1. As to what I can vividly remember, I was a young 15-year-old student. There was an event where every school
in my city sends a class from their institution as their representative. There were unfamiliar faces, so I decided to
stick with the group until the program ends. Suddenly, my classmate appeared with a student from another school.
It was her cousin who seemed to have the same interests as mine, anime, and art. My classmate introduced us then
her cousin decided to talk about our passions. Eventually, we didn’t even notice the time. We had a long
conversation and I would say it was successful. To be honest, I was fond of her since we felt close for about an
hour or two. It was a fun experience.
2. We had a presentation in our class. It was about the data and the results obtained from the given mathematical
experimentation. We’re grouped into three and I’m the only one who is assumed to be brave enough to talk in
front of aplenty. Before the presentation, I’ve assessed my speaking skills. I conducted interactions with myself to
further boost my confidence and submerging myself to the presentation that I’m about to present. Moreover, I
considered our presentation as successful since I’ve delivered it well.
With these experiences, I have known some factors that contributed to my successful interactions; likeness and
preparedness. Even in a new environment, one can manage to communicate with others if you have commonness.
With the first situation, I was able to manage my interaction with someone new since we had the same interests.
Meeting unfamiliar individuals with the same passions as you are, they’re potentially your friends (considerable if
they’re also genuine towards you). In my case, it’s like me and the new person have known each other too well.
Moreover, with public communication, it was preparedness that elevated my self-esteem. Intrapersonal
communication and the revision of our data gave an extensive contribution to my delivery. Knowing that you're
aware of what you want to give to your audience, it's a pleasing feeling. Therefore, with the succeeding factors, I
was able to defeat some of my fears.
B. Think of an experience of communication breakdown. Why did it fail? What could you have done for it to
become successful?
For an introverted person, this is a common thing. It could be those embarrassing memories that one experienced
before. Over the past years, I’ve experienced at least two communication breakdowns. These are mostly found
from my experience with public communication.
I was about 12 years old when I’m appointed as the vice president of a club. And was contemplated to give a
speech to the club’s program. For a teen who’s hidden from society, what more could you expect if she’s exposed
to an extensive audience? Eventually, my speech delivery was a total failure. I was nervous; I had dry lips, heavy
breathing, a perspiring forehead, and fluctuating voice tone. Thinking that my former crush was among my
audience gave me even more anxiety. After the speech, I immediately ran backstage since I was completely
mortified.
I was 13 when we are about to present our research. The research consists of the Philippine Cultures that must be
presented in front of the class. Everyone is a freshman, including me, therefore we are presenting our research in
front of “new people”. It was my turn. My Bpm was gradually rising when I walked towards the platform. When I
stood in front of everybody to read my research paper, my forehead began to sweat. Unexpectedly, my hands
were shaking uncontrollably. I can’t dictate the words correctly since my mouth was shivering. In the end, I didn’t
finish my presentation since my teacher ordered me to stop. (She was concerned)
With these experiences of mine, I’ve determined reasons why did I fail in my attempt. Both of them were
unprepared. It’s because I haven’t practiced and not in a sense that I don’t know what to say. My speeches were
there yet I’ve come to know that I should’ve exercised myself before public exposure. If I were to advise my old
self, I could’ve introduced intrapersonal communication. My recent speeches were successful compared to the last
ones because of self-communication. I could’ve done the same thing with my previous public communications,
alongside with preps.
C. How can you relate the verse of the week to the things happening in your life right now?
With the verse for this week, Ephesians 9: 10; I was reminded of my responsibilities as a student and my duty as a
follower of God. These past days I’ve been feeling downhearted. Perhaps the melancholy feeling kept me from
doing my work. This verse gave me realizations that alleviated my mindfulness as an individual.
We must do the work that is given to us. We grow and so do our responsibilities. Our submission to our
obligations not only influences ourselves but also the people around us. As to my understanding, implementing
work can potentially change me as a person. Not doing actions would only lead me to a rotting path. However,
there were times when I feel exhausted and just decided to stop. I overdid my resting and now I’m guilty. To be
honest, I was overwhelmed by my responsibilities, even they were simple. I’ve come to some thinking of what
might happen if there’s something wrong with what I’m doing and I don’t know what to do next. With these
immense thoughts, my fear becomes dense and I refrained from continuing to do any work.
Eventually, the verse gave me hope. It reminded me of a quote “If not now, then when?”. The upcoming of death
is surely oblivious and time is like vapor. If not submitting to your responsibilities today, the afterlife has nothing
more to offer but only judge and decide your place. Life may seem extensive yet so short. This is why it is
important to do work while you still can. Doing work not only contributes to our well-being but to others as well.
Partaking in your calling to fulfill the Great Commission doesn’t only grant growth on your Spirituality; it also
helps you guide others to the right path. Though obligations may seem to be overwhelming, it must be an evident
reminder that God is with us always to offer us the strength we needed to continue our journey. That’s all.
VI.B. Week 4 & 5
VI.B.A. Learning Gains
A. How can you relate to the verse of the week to the things happening in your life right now?
Psalm 17:15 contains the passage for the following week, which focuses on the theme of pleasures and eternity.
Its meaning is derived from David's revelation of God and the aspect of worldliness. David's future was ensured
by his certainty of perceiving God's righteousness. He simply believed that there is more to look forward to in the
afterlife than indulging in the world's transient pleasures. David contrasts the men of the world with his future in
this passage. The emptiness was a term used to describe those who lacked eternal hope, whereas he was splendid,
knowing that his eternal fate was sealed. After being "awakened" in the sense that he has been saved from death,
he pursues fulfillment in God's likeness.
People aim for temporal fulfillment since it is the core of existence. One can want a family, a stable position, and
a heap of commendable accomplishments. Even though I'm on the verge of accomplishing those goals, I can say
with absolute certainty that my life is currently wonderful. What more could I want than a happy, complete
household and a secure life? However, I've been disturbed by a sense of melancholy these days. I appear to be
missing a point since I have everything but still feel incomplete. It was then that I recognized that my joyful hopes
were limited to this world. I didn't perceive what comes in the afterlife.
I stayed ignorant for all these years because I didn't ponder about God's eternal offers of satisfaction. My spiritual
development became obsolete as I grew absorbed in other pursuits that I believed would provide me with the
happiness I desired. Without eternal hope, one can relate to men. As a result, I've come to regret doing so, because
my disregard for God's righteousness did not ensure me everlasting life. In addition, my will did not coincide with
what God has to offer. Even though yielding to God's will is at the heart of Christianity, my heart was simply rigid
enough to reject this opportunity. I'm currently broken and divided into either choosing to accept eternal hope or
to be blissfully ignorant about it. I'm at a loss for what to do about it. That’s all.
B. What did you learn about yourself as a communicator?
I've learned a lot about speech patterns and styles as we've worked through our session. Along with our talk, we
were given a brief job in which we had to answer a question without any prior preparation. It was through this
activity that I began to evaluate myself as a communicator. I was initially apprehensive because we are expected
to respond on the spur of the moment. Aside from that, I was never a particularly eloquent speaker. Surprisingly, I
did not expect myself to respond to the question so calmly. Even though my heart was about to burst, I kept
telling myself to take it easy. Because my previous experiences with on-the-spot conversations did not go well, I
learned that I spoke too quickly. I took a breather, spoke calmly, and everything worked out in the end.
In addition, my performance had both a respectable and a deficient aspect. As I reflected on those events, I
scrutinized myself. In comparison to my past communications, I've come to believe that my current ones were
luckier. I kept things brief and precise. It's more crucial to focus on the message's essence than adding non-
essential terms and adjectives. Even with a simplistic method, a more understandable notion can be achieved. On
the contrary, I overdid my simplicity during my performance to the point where I couldn't fully develop my views.
I didn't want to delve too deeply into my thoughts for fear of straying from the core theme. All things considered,
I've come to recognize that I was an inept communicator at first, but that as I've continued to grow, I've become a
far better communicator than before.

VII.A. Week 1-2
VII.A.A. Lesson Assessment
1. What were your misconceptions about the topic prior to taking up the lesson?
I thought one can have their own choice of words when it comes to constructing a thesis statement. Of course, the
chosen words must be relevant, therefore, I may be guilty of using intricate adjectives that have no substance to
the statement itself. Making a thesis statement is keeping things specific. Adding scholarly-sounding words
doesn’t make a difference if it has no connection to the topic.
Likewise, it is a significant thing to make your thesis statement arguable. Firstly, I was unaware of this notion.
Prior to taking up this lesson, I define a thesis statement as a claim/hypothesis that is supported by other people’s
hypotheses and studies. Therefore, there may be a presence of other opposing or conforming responses from your
readers. Because individuals have their perceptions regarding your topic. Moreover, presenting a fact or a plot
summary can never establish a debatable case. It can’t be considered as research since facts are no longer arguable
cases and are forever stagnant. I thought that thesis statements are factual declarations but they’re mainly
debatable assertions.
VII.B. Week 3
VII.B.A. Lesson Assessment
1. How does this lesson help your writing skill?
Our discussion in this lesson is about outlining. It refers to providing a list of the relevant ideas to show their
interconnection with one another. The principle or notion of outlining helps me hone my writing skill, in such a
way that it lets me showcase my writing with the best conveyance possible. What defines a good write-up is its
delivery and engagement. Outlining can be a considerable way or basis to achieve the following attributes since it
centralizes on the main gist of a context. And in writing, the main goal is to be straight and precise with your
ideas. Therefore, with the use of outlining, one can attain a more specific and accurate approach in writing a text.
The ideas must be presented in an orderly manner for the reader to apprehend the flow of the context. Outlining is
the blueprint of your write-up as it lists the leading and sub-ideas. I use it as a foundation of how I can present my
claims, observing the sense of organization. Consequently, my writing achieves a more coherent outlook and
engagement to my readers. To conclude, Outlining can either be used as a tool for establishing or determining the
configuration of significant ideas.
VII.C. Week 4
VII.C.A. Learning Gains
1. What is the importance of writing a review or critique objectively?
First and foremost, a review or critique is a form of assessment of any output. It is Evaluating the work in means
of what is required to be stated in the content of the paper. In writing the report, it should be based on your logical
analysis. This is expected to answer the questions of your reader. There may be instances that need one’s
understanding of the creation. Yet opinions are not among the discernment since they must only be based on the
factual attributes it contains.
The importance of writing a review objectively is the avoidance of deviation from the main point of the work. As
a critique, we are obliged to give the important particulars. Information such as the plot, the description of work,
and the details must be necessarily provided. If one would include personalized views, then your readers aren’t
able to assess the work themselves since the predominant information would be vague. Moreover, your
explanation for reasoning should be plausible for others to make your review agreeable. Our analysis should be
engaged with the creator’s idea so that our critique is reasonably supported.

1. What new or additional learning have you had after taking up this lesson in terms of skills, content and attitude
to writing?
I learned that in consideration to the topic, some things can possibly be associated with writing. The principles of
providing art critiques can be potentially used as the basis in writing. Some of these are;
To how an Art Critique is accordingly structured, writing should be also be organized in order for the topic to
have a systematic flow of discussion. We can anchor our method of presenting ideas to their notion since their
concepts engage in a descriptive manner. Considering that Art Critiques must necessarily provide the important
particulars, our attitude in writing should also be the same. A completely provided write-up is a good write-up. In
order for our readers to engage in our content, they must successfully comprehend the details.
Moreover, the lesson emphasized a significant attitude that should be applicable to writing that is associated with
reviews. Art Critiques seeks to initiate an accurate approach. Therefore, if your paper is obliged to provide a
comment on a situation/work/event, the content must be anchored on factual information. Your analysis of a
particular thing must be plausible to make yourself more credible. The judgements made should be supported by
reasons that are believably agreeable to a general viewpoint. And your outlook when establishing content must be
objective for the content to centralize in the main topic only.

a. What influenced God to send such a devastating flood?
Firstly, stated in Genesis 3 verse 22; As Adam and Eve disobeyed, they’re banished from the Garden of Eden.
Knowing that both are knowledgeable about evil, God cast them out before they could eat from the Tree of Life.
If they did, Humanity would suffer and live forever in their sinful condition. Time passed and humans began to
prosper, it was when God saw the need of banishing His creation. In Genesis 6 verses 5-7 and 11-12, it was
postulated the reason of God’s rationality upon wanting to eliminate everything. He saw how great the
wickedness of mankind had become on earth. God saw that their human hearts were only inclined with evilness
v.5. Moreover, verses 11 – 12 mentioned that the world He had created had become corrupt and is full of
violence. Ever since the disobedience of one man, it has caused corruption among earth with his seeds corrupting
their ways. With that, obliterating them was the only option for Him, for he was deeply troubled with His creation
v.6. Not until when Noah found the favor in the eyes of the Lord v.8.
b. Share some restrictions that are placed on you as a child that are good for you.
As a kid, I’ve had quite some restrictions. My parents were mindful that I was a fragile kid so hospitals were a
thing in my case. Additionally, I was an only child, therefore they’re meticulous towards me. Furthermore,
enumerating a few of these restrictions;
1. I’m not allowed to try any frozen beverage that uses ice from the local ice seller in the market. This restriction
was due to my diagnosis of amoeba. When I used to visit my grandparents, it was from their water that started
everything. I was unaware at that time, maybe I’d drunk a few bathing waters. During one night I had stomach
aches, fever, and diarrhea. I was then administered to the hospital. We took a few tests and consequently, it was
the amoeba. Surely the first restriction was for my good, and in the present state, it was my little brother’s
restriction too. He also had amoeba and was hence not allowed to consume any local water.
2. I shouldn’t eat sweets more often. It is a prominent restriction among children. My teeth were meticulously
checked by the dentist; thus, sweets should be rarely served on the menu. Additionally, in my mother’s generation
line, diabetes was common, hence strongly justifies this restriction.
3. I’m not allowed to play in the rain. As I’ve said, I’m fragile and am known for low resistance to any bacteria
out there due to my incapacitated immune system. With fever, I’ll be sent immediately to the hospital since my
body cannot easily tolerate any foreign pathogens. So, I end up growing, being oblivious of what would it feel like
to run and dance under the gloomy skies. Furthermore, those were the restrictions that I’ve had as a child,
considering what I can vividly remember.
c. Describe what you will say to God if He wants you to give an account of your life.
Understanding the statement; if one would take account of his/her life, that can mean one could be bound on the
responsibility to whatever may happen to him/her or be solely in control of his/her wholeness. With that
uncertainty I would be giving two answers for each of these understandings;
If taking account of whatever waits for me, then I would not complain. God had given me my own free will and
choice, just like Eve. Assumingly, one will be irrational to select an option that would only deliver her demise.
With God saying to take account for my life, to what has been done; then there’s no reason for me to blame others
since it was my course of action. One would only say sorry for the transgressions she had committed but shall no
longer ask for chances nor mercy. God is a Just and Holy God, the regretful behavior that I can manifest will no
longer drive the steadfast love that He provided me all these years. It was me who rejected Him in the first place.
With the second understanding, if saying that taking account of my life meant wholly controlling it myself, I
would plead Him to be in control of my life. The world is detrimental and is continuously offering temporary
happiness. We all end up searching for more satisfaction. I am weary of that; Therefore, I want Him to take over
the wheel of my will, let His will be done. Currently, one is made of a rigid heart and is unwilling to change. I
don’t know what to do, which is why I would plead with Him more. If none can be done, then the only thing for
me to wait is for the wrath that was purposedly bounded for the one that who had rejected to accept the Lord.
VII.B. Week 2
VIII.B.A. My Learning Gains
a. Name at least two of the seven promises God gave to Abraham and how can you claim this promise.
Two of the seven promises that gave Abraham are the following;
1. Genesis 12: 2-3 “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you
will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”
2. Genesis 22: 17-18 “I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and
as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your
offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”
Beforehand on stating how can I claim these promises, we must consider that they either coexist with others or
not. God had given these to Abraham some time ago, it had been centuries to pass. Moreover, these given
physical promises have left us wondering if they have already been done or continue until the present. As to the
possibility of being fulfilled, then there’s no need for continuation. Nevertheless, as we go over the Bible, it
simply indicates that these blessings/promises will continue (e.g., Genesis 49: 1).
We can assuredly say that most of us are descendants of Abraham. Knowingly and unknowingly, all of us are
blessed. Our submission to the Lord is a vital thing for this matter. Gen. 22: 18 designated the Lord’s wonderful
promise to Abraham because of his obedience. Even with flaws, I always try to comply to the father. Therefore, I
can say that I have claimed both of these promises for I have been constantly blessed by God. Our society is
among a great nation that is under God's protection. Additionally, His promises must never be the reason for our
submission to Him. We comply because of love and not taking things for granted. Moreover, there’s nothing more
to ask for by the Lord’s grace and steadfast love, His promises to Abraham are still present until the end of times.
b. God made special promises to Abraham. What are those special promises that God has made in His Word for
you?
God made promises to Abraham. Throughout Abraham’s life, these promises were a sign of hope and God’s
steadfast love. In my life, He also had some promises for me. We all know that we can feel God’s presence, yet
there were instances when He seemed to be oblivious. Nevertheless, it was faith that held me onto Him. Even He
can’t directly whisper His promises in my ears but one can vividly discern it.
1. One of His promises is to protect my family. It’s been two years ever since the pandemic and time passed, I had
some realizations. Demise is an inevitable thing and you never know when is “your time” to be taken. It’s painful
to see candles every day. I was drowning in my anxieties as I thought that this passing might arrive in our
household. Thankfully, God kept my family safe under His care. I get to laugh and bond with them even with
circumstances. We had each other for the time being and this was more than just a blessing.
2. Abraham doubted God’s intention to make nations out of him despite not having any child (Genesis 17: 17).
This situation was interrelated to what God had done to mine. I was an only child thus I’m pleading with God to
give me a sibling. I prayed every day yet nothing came. Years had passed and I stopped talking about it. Then
suddenly, I was in 6th grade when my mother got pregnant. Honestly, it was unbelievable to think that God heard
my prayers. He did make a promise, and I never expected Him to fulfill it. I waited for quite a time, and all took
place at the right time and in the right place. Moreover, I can only recall a few promises that God had given to me.
But one can tell, God had blessed me all these years just as He did with Abraham.
VII.C. Week 3
VIII.C.A. My Learning Gains
a. Read Exodus 4: 1-17, and find 3 more times Moses argued with God about this job, and also find God’s
answers to Moses.
As mentioned in Exodus chapter 3, God had given Moses an important task/job. He instructed him to lead the
people of Israelites out of Egypt as they’ve greatly suffered under a new Pharoah. Moses was considered to be the
best person for the job since he was uniquely qualified. He was once an individual raised in Egypt and was
welcomed in the royal palace. Furthermore, Moses was no doubt to be more educated than any other Israelites of
his generation. Out of these commendable things, He argued with God 3 times regarding this task to which He got
answers. The following are;
1. Exodus 4:1 - Moses was in doubt of the Egyptians’ response to His proclaims; they may not believe nor listen
to his words. He argued that they may require God’s presence for them to be convinced. After hearing this, God
immediately responded in the form of miraculous acts. Firstly, He instructed Moses to throw the staff he’s
holding. Moses conforms and his staff became a snake as it landed on the ground. Thereafter, God instructed him
to place his hand in his cloak. After doing so, its skin became leprous, as white as snow. God told Moses to
reciprocate, and his hand was then restored.
2. Exodus 4:10 – Moses was in doubt of himself. He had said to God that he is “slow of speech and tongue”. God
then responded with an assuring statement; “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or
mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? God submitted to this by promising
Moses to help him speak and teach him what to say.
3. Exodus 4:13 – Moses still felt incompetent. He then asked the Lord if he could send someone else instead of
him. God was agitated and then suggested Moses take Aaron. God was certain that Aaron the Levite can speak
well. Therefore, He ensured Moses that Aaron will be his speaker in front of the Egyptians. Moreover, God had
promised to both of them that He will help them speak and will teach them what to do.
b. What can we learn from this conversation about how God deals with His children? What are some excuses we
might make?
This conversation focuses on God’s interaction with Abraham. It was Him giving a very important task to Moses
to which he did not fully conform to this at first. Despite Moses’s qualifications, he responded with reasons that
would not make him the best choice for the job given. God, who is a loving Father, assured him with his
promises. This situation is simply the way of how God deals with His children. The things that we can learn from
the conversation are God’s behavior towards us and our behavior towards Him.
In their circumstance, God abides on His anxious follower by ensuring that he will be guided. This situation
applies to our present state not only as His children but as His witnesses. As stated in Matthew 28: 19-20, the
great commission was our important job/task. The Lord is calling our conformity to this command and our
responses are as same Moses. Even rejection is a strong word, we give numerous excuses to avoid fulfilling these
instructions.
One of the possible reasons would be our speaking ability. Most of us thought that we’re not gifted with the
potential to speak. Yet come to think of it, we can practice honing this skill. As to what had God responded;
Genesis 4: 12 “Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say”. With our excuse due to
uncertainty, the Lord always replies with promises of security and guidance.
Looking back to what Jesus had said before He ascended; Luke 24:49 “I am going to send you what my Father
has promised, but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” This mainly refers to the
Holy Spirit that will accompany us on our mission (just as when Aaron accompanied Moses). Furthermore, in the
Biblical study, the Holy Spirit bestows our gifts. 1 Corinthians 12: 7-10; the gift of wisdom, knowledge, faith, etc.
Therefore, there’s no reason for us to argue with such excuses since God will provide for us. In addition, the
response of the people whom you proclaimed to must never be an excuse to God. Moses raised this concern
considering Egyptians who never believe unless shown. In the present times, God does not need to show acts for
the people to believe in Him. We must put in mind that it mainly depends on the will of the person, whether
he/she must believe or not. It takes faith to believe in Him.
c. In a short essay, write some personal difficulties or experiences where you felt God’s protection and help.
I have already known God since I was little. My Family is Christians that are devoted to the church. I was faithful
until I grew up and slowly fade the burning desire to know God. A simple question; “are you saved?” was the
most difficult query for me to answer. As I was unraveled to the realizations in life, my anxiousness began to
surround my thoughts. Now, I just look up and keep on overthinking my undeniable thoughts.
My difficulty would be myself and my salvation. I can’t sort my mind since all my thoughts were tangled up. It
was the pandemic that gave me closure to some of my consciousness. My first apprehension was my relationship
with God and my salvation. Looking back before the unfortunate events, I saw that my submission for the Lord
was just a call of pressured conformity. One can say I took things for granted because I was admitted to a
Christian School. Requirements over willingness is how I can describe it. Therefore, when time loosened and
allowed me to recall those situations, I was mortified. There is a sense of guilt and shame mixed up and sharing
this with the people would be a terrible idea. How would you react if the person you know for a long time isn’t the
person you thought she was?
Since I didn't have any other options, I seek shelter under God’s presence. I prayed and He knew what were the
things I’m talking about. His response was oblivious at first, but it was then when I realized His unfailing
provision. God used some of my closest companions to offer me help. Since my problem was my submission,
whenever my best friends invite me to bible studies, it was God saying “Why don’t you try again? This time it’s
your choice”. Slowly and gradually, I develop a small spark within me and hoped it would go burning as I
continue to submit with my own will. My problems with myself followed with the process. As I immerse myself
in His words, my heart and soul are caressed. It was a sense of comfort that was God’s steadfast love.
Furthermore, in my continuing journey, I would choose to conform to His will.
VII.D. Week 4
VIII.D.A. My Learning Gains
a. Explain the importance of having the Ten Commandments given by God to the Jews.
The importance of the Ten Commandments centralizes in the welfare of our Spirituality. The Ten Commandments
were indicated as laws by God. Around the chapters of Exodus, during the travel of Israelites to the promised
land, God provisioned them with conventions to be followed. With Moses’ help, he presented these laws to God’s
people in form of tablets. This set of laws were to express God’s hatred to sin and the way of how Christians must
live in the growth of their spiritual life. After salvation, we’re given freedom from sin and not the freedom to sin.
As Christians, we are necessitated to live a life like God in order to avoid ourselves to commit transgressions. To
consistently live a moral life, God provided us with various ways to maintain our discipline. With the Laws, He
provided we are able to live according to what is right.
Around Exodus 20: 1 – 17, apart from other laws that God had given to the people of Israelites, the 10
Commandments were the main basis for these conventions. Before it the commandments were reinstated as to be
applied in our life, its main purpose around Moses’ time was to regulate their society. Among the crowd which
Moses had guided to the promised land, not all of them were Jews. Those laws given were to ensure other
people’s safety and to regulate conflicts through justifiable compensations.
The first and second commandments; Don’t put any other gods before God and Don’t worship idols were a great
reminder for the Jews. Exodus 32 is when the people created a god of their own of assuming Moses’ absence.
During that time, Moses was meeting the Lord for instructions. Eventually, the Lord instructed him to go down
since the people he had guided became corrupt (verse 7). There was then a conflict afterward. This was an
indication of how they could be disreputable people. It was inevitable for Aaron to avoid their temptation which
led him to join their evil ways. They were uncontrollable if only taken lightly, which then justifies the
predominant purpose of God’s Commandments. Apart from its motive to establish virtues upon living our lives as
Christians, it was given mainly to regulate the Jew’s society for a specific period.
b. Choose two out of the Ten Commandments and write a reflection from it. Whether you usually disobey or you
love to follow.
Out of the Ten Commandments, I choose the First, Second, and Fifth Commandments to share my reflections
with. One to what I usually disobey and one which I love to follow.
The First & Second Commandment which is found in Exodus 20: 3-6 - Don’t put others before God and worship
them since God is a Jealous God (Condensing both commandments since they’re interrelated with my reflection).
In all honesty, I have failed to submit myself to these commandments. Since Idols aren’t just referring to images
but also objects and activities, I’ve found myself guilty. For around the 24 hours of the day, I seldomly
acknowledge the Lord because I believe I was “occupied”. Even in fact that I could manage my time efficiently, I
could’ve saved some time for the Lord. Out of love and not of obligation, we must put Him above everything
because He is worthy of all things. In a sense that He is our Creator, He is worthy of our reverence and allegiance.
And nothing else must come before Him. Yet being immersed in my academic works, home and phone, only
proved that I had broken the following commandments.
The Fifth Commandment is found in Exodus 20: 12 – Honor your father and Mother. Those children inherited the
sinful nature from their parents gives them an intolerant behavior of resisting their parent’s higher authority.
Therefore, this constitute was established to found the filiality of the children in every household, maintaining a
good connection with children and parents. I can say that this is one of my favorite commandments to follow.
Submitting to your parents' infidelity serves as repaying them even we aren’t necessarily obliged to do so (in
repaying them). Being under the authority of your parents may sound dominating, but no matter the circumstance,
we must be respectful to them. Our manifestation of respect will be an indication of our love for them. For the
only commandment who is a promise, even without the reinforcement or reward, I shall submit myself without
taking things for granted. (Additional: the promise could also refer to a translation that you live longer in this
world, simply because you followed your parent’s advice.)
c. Why would the people go to the tabernacle with sacrifices? Can we still apply this in our present times? Why or
why not?
Because of the Giants that lived there, the Israelites were afraid of settling in the promised land. They traveled the
desert for 40 years before reaching the promised land of God. God told Moses to build a portable place of worship
in the years that followed. Wherever they went, there was a place where they could make sacrifices and get
forgiveness for their sins. As a result, the Tabernacle was built.
The Tabernacle is defined as a temporary place of worship that was built accordingly based on God’s evident
instructions mentioned in Exodus 40: 17-34. The overall shape of the tabernacle of Moses followed traditional
structures of the time. The actual tabernacle of Moses sat in the back of the courtyard (Exodus 26). The
Tabernacle meant “to dwell” since before Christ accomplished His mission in reconciling us back to the Father,
God did not dwell in the hearts of men. He would usually dwell in a certain place as stated in the Old Testament
period.
Because of their desire, people would bring a susceptible sacrifice upon entering the tabernacle. The tabernacle
functioned as a location for them to ask and receive forgiveness in addition to being a place of worship. People
are expected to accompany such intent with an offering. The person places their hand on the offering, pondering
on the animal's flawless quality. Your sins are subsequently transferred to your selected sacrifice. It is then
accepted by the Lord on your behalf, resulting in a significant atonement. (Leviticus 1:4–8)
In the present times, this practice is no longer applicable. With the sacrifice of Jesus in the New Testament, all of
our transgressions are already forgiven. Observing the situation between the account of Christ’s sacrifice and the
Animal Sacrifice mentioned earlier, they’re alike in their notion. Firstly, the intention of forgiveness was the
reason for the necessity of implementation. Either a man or the whole of humanity, both of their sins were placed
in the sacrifices. For them to be forgiven and appear clean before the father, the sacrifice is bounded by the
transgressions instead of them.
Lastly, it must be taken into consideration that only perfect people are acknowledged to live eternal life. As a
sinner, chances are fatal since all of mankind has sinned and was therefore damned. This is why God commands
His Son to a mission of reconciling us with Him; to take our sins for us to be free from it. On that account, if
Christ would sacrifice Himself for the sake of mankind’s atonement, He must be Perfect. He is indeed spotless
just as the animals being offered in the earlier parts of the Old Testament. Therefore, instead of applying the
previous tradition, it is obsolete since Jesus Christ already took part in the role of the Sacrificed.
VII.E. Week 5
VIII.E.A. My Learning Gains
A. What Purpose Did the Tabernacle in Exodus Serve?
The Israelites were scared of living in the promised land because of the Giants that dwelt there. And because of
that, they journeyed for 40 years in the desert before arriving in God's promised land. In the years that followed,
God instructed Moses to construct a portable place of worship to where the people could offer sacrifices and get
forgiveness for their misdeeds. Additionally, temples were not a considerable option for them since they wouldn’t
reside in the desert permanently. The Tabernacle was then built as a result for their convenience.
Furthermore, God did not live in the hearts of men before Christ completed His purpose of reconciling us to the
Father, the Tabernacle meant "to dwell." As stated in the Old Testament time, he would usually reside in a certain
location. Therefore, the tabernacle’s purpose was also offering a place where one can feel the Lord’s presence.
Thereafter, in the future parts of the context after Solomon built a temple, God would live in the Holy of Holies.
Only the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies, the temple's most sacred space, once a year. a year (Hebrew
9:7). But he stayed in the Tabernacle for the time being.
B. What Was the Meaning behind the Tabernacle in Exodus?
The Israelites realized the seriousness of their sin and the desperate need for a Savior. The Tabernacle then
provided a temporary, proper worship area for Israelites and a temporary residence for God until the time of
Solomon. The sacrificial system of the tabernacle was one of their feasible options for them considering their
situation. God modeled out specific measurements and structures for the construction of the tabernacle. Despite it
being less intricate than the Temple, the specific metrics given had meanings behind their necessity.
The tabernacle was divided into separate rooms: The Holy Place and the Holy of Holies, separated by a veil.
Inside the Holy Place were areas with each of its symbolic purposes. Inside the Holy of Holies, the High Priest
would see the Ark of the Covenant, which is accommodated by God (Exodus 37:1–9). As stated in 2 Samuel 6:7,
the priests are required to carry the Ark with poles since touching it could potentially kill a person.
Each of the parts of the tabernacle was integrated to deliver the whole essence of man’s forgiveness and
redemption process. The following parts are;
The Gate, the only gate is a representation of Christ as the only way to fellowship (as mentioned in John 14: 6 and
John 10:9). The act of entering the tabernacle's gate was significant to the Israelites. Since entering could lead to
the discovery of forgiveness of one’s a misdemeanor and communion with God.
The Brazen Altar, upon entering the gate, the first thing that one can see is the altar. It served as a reminder of
man's sinfulness and the need for a blood sacrifice to be in fellowship with God. The process is a projection of
Christ, our sacrifice, lifted on the cross, His altar, which stood on a hill.
The Laver was placed in a convenient location for washing and served as a reminder that people must cleanse
themselves before approaching God. For believers today, the application is that we are forgiven through Christ's
work on the cross, but we are washed through His Word.
The Menorah, just as the lampstand was placed in God’s dwelling place so that the priests could approach God,
Jesus, the “true light that gives light to every man” (John 1:9)
The Table of Showbread, the table and bread’s concept represented God's willingness to fellowship and commune
with mankind. God was willing to let the man in. This invitation to enter His presence and fellowship with Him
was always open.
The Golden Altar of Incense, incense was considered to be pleasing to the Lord. It was a symbol of the prayers
and intercession of the people going up to God as a sweet fragrance. Moreover, He wanted His dwelling to be a
place where people could approach Him and pray to Him. Therefore, the priests were commanded to burn incense
on the golden altar every morning and evening.
The Holy of Holies and the Veil was God’s special dwelling place amid His people. The veil was shielding a holy
God from sinful man. Whoever entered into the Holy of Holies was entering the very presence of God. Yet as in
the present times, as the veil was torn, the Holy of Holies was exposed. God’s presence was now accessible to all.
C. Why would the people go to the tabernacle with sacrifices? Can we still apply this in our present times? Why
or why not?
People would make a vulnerable sacrifice to the tabernacle since it was their desire. In addition to being a place of
worship, the tabernacle served as a place for them to ask for and receive forgiveness. People are supposed to make
an offering to go along with their intentions. The person places their palm on the offering and thinks about how
perfect the animal is. Your sins are then transferred to the victim you've chosen. After that, the Lord accepts it on
your behalf, resulting in a significant atonement. (1:4–8) Leviticus 1:4–8
This practice is no longer relevant in today’s society. With the sacrifice of Jesus in the New Testament, all of our
sins were already forgiven. When comparing the situation of Christ's sacrifice to the Animal Sacrifice discussed
before, it's clear that they have similar ideas. Firstly, the need for implementation was motivated by the desire for
forgiveness. Both man's sins and the sins of the entire human race were placed in the sacrifices. The sacrifice is
then, bounded by the transgressions instead of them for them to be forgiven and appear clean before the Father.
It should be remembered that only ideal people are allowed to live endless lives. Because all of humanity has
sinned and has been cursed, the odds are stacked against you as a sinner. This is why God sends His Son on a
mission to reconcile us to Himself, to take our sins, and forgive us. As a result, if Christ is willing to sacrifice
Himself for the atonement of mankind, He must be Perfect. He is indeed pure, just as the animals sacrificed
previously in the Old Testament. Therefore, instead of applying the previous tradition, it is obsolete since Jesus
Christ already took part in the role of the Sacrificed.
D. Why does this Tabernacle very important during the Jewish Time?
The tabernacle was significant during Jewish times because people needed to be redeemed. Knowing the
consequences of their sinful actions made the Israelites realize the importance of coming for atonement. As stated
in the context, God instructed Moses to build the Tabernacle so that the Israelites could have a portable place of
worship. Each explicit instruction provided served a purpose for the integrated essence of a man's atonement
process. As a result, the Tabernacle provision was perfectly designed for their aspirations.
Furthermore, given the Israelites' predicament at the time, a temple was not a viable option. They were supposedly
destined to live in the land God had promised them, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they were unable to do
so right away. They spent a long time traveling through the deserts for this purpose. And, as previously stated, the
people's need for vindication, the tabernacle was the most practical option for their situation.
E. Why must blood be shed to pay for sin? And whose blood is worthy to pay for our sins?
There was a specific plague associated with this concept in earlier events in the book of Exodus when plagues had
a significant impact on Egypt. Exodus 12: 1-13 contains an example of the Passover being introduced before the
last plague brought by God. God commanded the Israelites to slaughter a one-year-old unblemished lamb in these
verses. They were then to take its blood and apply it to the doorposts of the house. God would "pass over" that
house if He saw that the household followed this instruction. This was an indication of life being given, blood
being shed so that others could live, in this context.
Romans 6: 23 stated that the penalty for our sins is death, in both physical and spiritual manner. God has required
that life be given and its blood be shed to have atonement (forgiveness) for our sins and be saved from "death"
(Hebrews 9:22). A living creature must give up its life for another to live.
Going back to the Passover’s concept, an unspotted animal must be slain. Taking its blood to submit to God’s
instruction for a life to be saved. Furthermore, as mentioned in Leviticus 1: 1-4, 10-14, the same notion is being
applied. Using a clean sacrifice to save the life of another in the sense that a person’s sins were transferred to the
innocent animal. This process indicates that the offering would then die as a substitute for the offeror’s sins.
According to God (Lev 17:11), the life of a living creature is found in its blood. Life is represented by blood.
When a life was taken and its blood was shed as a sacrifice, it represented the beginning of a new life for another.
It served as atonement for their sins. Therefore, to pay for sin, blood must be shed, or rather, a life must serve as a
substitute for the other.
In our case, it is Jesus Christ's Blood that is worthy of atonement. Because our blood is tainted by sin and evil,
only pure, sinless blood could save us from the father's unending wrath. As a result, Christ was sent to fulfill His
Father's commands or to reconcile us to Him. To do so, He must sacrifice Himself for our sake, demonstrating the
significance of His Blood. With Jesus carrying our sins, His perfection was given to us, allowing us to experience
death through Him rather than ourselves. Isaiah Chapter 53:4-6

A. Summarize the story and the lesson learned that can be applied in your daily life.
Around the Chapters of Exodus presents the journey of the Israelites to the Promised land.
Exodus 1-3, Moses was called by God to take His people out of Egypt. Since the Israelites were growing in an
extensive number, the Egyptians find this very alarming. With the increasing number of their power, the
Egyptians utilized this through enslaving them. Therefore, God provisioned Moses to the Israelites to deliver them
out of their adversities.
Exodus 7-11, Because the Pharoah can’t be convinced of God’s request to lead His people out, God decided to
give him a consequence. God demonstrated His power through the plagues He sent to the Society of Egypt.
During these times, the Passover was introduced as a form of submission to God’s instructions concerning the last
plague. Israelites were commanded to sacrifice a clean animal, use its blood for immunity against the demise
bought by God’s judgment.
Exodus 14-20, After the adversities in Egypt, the Pharoah permitted God’s request. Thereafter, the Israelites
began their journey to the land that God had promised them. After they’ve crossed the Red Sea, there had been
challenges along the way. Due to their sinful nature, the Jews drifted from God’s control. With that, God
delivered laws through Moses for the people to maintain morality. Hence, the introduction of the Ten
Commandments expresses God’s hatred for sin.
Exodus 40-Leviticus, With Israelites knowing the case of their evil state, they necessitated the atonement for their
sinful acts. Knowing that they’ve been residing along the desert for 40 years, they need a portable place of
worship. Since Temples aren’t feasible enough for their situation during these times, the tabernacle was then
introduced. God specified His instructions before its construction, for it to be centralized in the essence of the
redemptive process of a sinner. The concept of sacrificial offerings was then brought back since the Passover.
Numbers 21: 4-9, On their way towards the promised land, Israelites revolted against God. As they perceived God
as an insufficient provisioner, they blamed Him for dragging them out in the wilderness. Consequently, due to
their complaints, the Lord sent fiery serpents which caused an extensive eradication among the Israelite people.
Thereafter the punishment, they’ve come to realize their misdemeanor and asked for the retrieval of the serpents.
As when Moses prayed for the people, God then commanded Him to make a fiery serpent on a pole, so that
whosoever perceives it may live. Doing those things accordingly, saved lives.
2 Samuel 7: 1-16, Eventually, time passed when Israelites finally dwelled in Canaan. For years, Israel was ruled
by several leaders as they’ve become more rebellious. Which then caused them to be conquered by various
groups, hence rules by different leaders. God would then raise leaders to join their intolerance against the
dominating countries. Among several kings that have passed, David was the one who gained the favor of the
Lord. God asked him to build a temple for worship which he had followed. Even his son Solomon was the one
who build the temple in the later events, David did gather plans and materials for this special project. Their story
ends with David being promised by God that there would be one special descendant from him that would rule
forever.
Isaiah 7, 9, 52-53, God inspired His prophets to foretell many details throughout the history of the Israelites about
the birth of a King and Savior, at some future time. His prophet Isaiah promised a sign concerning the Satan
Conqueror that was promised long ago. A virgin-born son to be named Immanuel, which meant “God is with us”.
Furthermore, from several promises linked to this special promise, details were presented of what would be the
purpose, the consequence of His purpose, and the result of His coming.
Throughout these stories, I’ve come to learn things that could be applied in my life.
1. God is there to help us in any circumstance or need;
He is always with us. Despite the Israelite’s unappreciative sense of the Lord’s provisioning, God had been
merciful and gracious enough for their account. Throughout their adverse times, God always submits to their
needs and helps them. For an anxious person, I related myself to Moses. Due to my belief in incompetence, I
thought that I’m not enough to be accepted by this world. However, I’ve come to realize that it’s not the approval
of others that I needed but the approval of God. Moreover, whatever may come across my path, surely, God was
always there to help me face it.
2. It takes faith to believe;
Other than God being a great provisioner, the essence of the redemptive process shows the necessity of faith. It
was faith that fueled them to submit to any of the Lord’s commands. From the Passover, the use of tabernacles &
the bronze serpent, Israelites were saved from the consequential demise. They chose to conform to God’s
commands since they’ve come to believe what He could potentially do and trusted Him. Furthermore, this goes to
the application of one’s spiritual life. Since I know that the Lord would deliver me out of evil, it was my will that
chose Him and His bestowed faith that eventually made me believe in Him. Out of faith, I was saved. These
learnings served as a reminder of the core of all of my redemption.
3. Promises come in the right time and place, God being the greatest provisioner;
God’s promise of a Satan conqueror didn’t eventually take place immediately. However, there was a gradual
process of events and prophecies which in due course, fulfilled the promise at the perfect time. It took a whole
testament of development before we came to finally witness the completion of the Satan-Conqueror’s mission.
With this account, it was only proven that promises eventually come according to God’s plan. And additionally,
God is a great provisioner since He has delivered His promise. With all things considered, one must learn to wait
for the right time. In my life, I must follow God’s commands and wait patiently for His promises for me so that all
may come according to His will. That’s all.

1. What are those things you consider in choosing a product?
As a consumer, I have things to consider when choosing a particular product upon purchase. The physical
appearance of the item is a thing that must be regarded. The packaging must be enclosed properly and there must
be no defects on the product. Appealing covers may be considered, yet there are instances where the contents are
contrasting to its product covers (you do not get what you see), therefore we must choose wisely. Prices are
crucial too, it’s important to scrutinize every fee to reduce heavy payments. There may be products that are not
justifiable by their prices, consequently, we must choose other substitutes that match, but with a more budget-
friendly tag. Furthermore, as buyers, we are obliged to acquire the best commodity to minimize our budget.
2. What strategy or ideas that will help the product or services marketable to the client or customers?
A business lives by its workers, and more importantly, customers. The primary goal of any market is to provide
the best service for them to gain revenue. Therefore, it’s an entrepreneur’s character to be creative upon creating a
plan that would help their products engage in more earning probabilities. Placing ourselves in the businessman’s
shoes, we can determine some plausible strategies for implementing such action.
To make a product marketable to your clients, you must write a product plan before production. By doing so, your
business niche must be correlated to a customary trend. You should also determine your target audience; these
people would be the potential buyers of your product. Upon manufacturing, provide safe (and appealing)
packaging to ensure your product is from defects. Do mark a reasonable price, not too high nor too low (Having
the same product as your competitors doesn’t mean for you to lower your product price from theirs. It results to
price wars in the market. Just indicate the amount you want to place and make yourself distinct from others).
Lastly, ads, promoting your item on the right platforms to captivate your buyers.
3. How does MS excel help in managing the product in selling services offered in terms of calculations or
computations?
When operating a business, there are numerous things to handle, including sales. Calculations are intricate things
to manage and thankfully, MS Excel is one of the software that could help utilize records. MS Excel is a program
developed for any data tracking propaganda, which makes it useful for any affiliates and organizations. Its
spreadsheets contain rows and columns, you can input your products and product details. Moreover, you can store
data such as Costs of goods sold, Gross product, and Net product, to easily navigate your market revenue. It’s
perfect for numerical figures since it is capable of computations. In a sense that it is programmed to perform any
calculations given and can assist complex measurements. MS Excel has a provided currency attribute and has
features that are purposely made for accounting, namely the Accounting Number Format. Though I may not be
thoroughly assessed on how to use it, in simple terms, it is enough to justify Excel’s ready assistance to any type
of selling services/business.

1. What are those things that you consider in making a website?
When making a website, I must consider the basic principles in order for it to have better engagement and visitors.
These principles are; 1. Balance shows synchronization towards your elements. It is defined as evenly distributing
your attributes on the screen. 2. Emphasis is when you make one of your elements dominants among others to
attract your visitor’s attention. 3. Movement that guides the viewer’s eyes towards the screen. 4. Pattern,
Repetition, and Rhythm is when you repeat a visual element to create unity on my layout. Rhythm is usually
achieved when the layout observes an organized approach 5. Proportion that establishes a connection among your
webpage attributes. And 6. The variety gives amusement to the visitor’s attention.
2. Why do you think Google ranks number one despite the countless search engines and websites in the internet?
What makes Google stand out among other search engines is its ability to provide higher–quality results for each
user. Users began to trust the search engine when Google provided the most accurate and relevant websites/results
based on their queries. They’ve also considered geo-locations to base the search capabilities on the proximity
targeting to create custom, local results for users. It made Google distinct since they aspired to provide simple and
better search results quickly. Their actions were achieved through constantly updating their search algorithms and
mainly focusing on their users’ intent and satisfaction. Furthermore, they constantly test their search results for
them to modify and adapt as users’ habits change. Online satisfaction is a major part of their core business model.
Therefore, their new users will eventually become loyal to their platform.
3. What makes a website more attractive to the user which makes them popular and considered as one of the most
visited one?
A website becomes more popular and can be considered as the most visited one depending on the service that they
offer to the user and the structure of their website. Firstly, whether the website is informative or entertaining, the
structure of the website must be organized. It can either be based on the information being shared or the
preference of the user. Moreover, if the website has a search engine, it must provide the best and relevant results
based on the user’s query. The website must also consider the 6 basic principles upon constructing its layout. The
following principles seek approaches that may be beneficial for grabbing user attention with the use of the right
elements. Furthermore, a successful website always considers and focus on their users, their intent, and their
satisfaction. Therefore, a website’s structure is always taken into consideration by its users and aspire to provide
better service.

1. What are the advantages of using PhotoScape as an image editor and Photobucket as an image hosting site?
What makes PhotoScape advantageous is that they’re not intricate to understand or use. Compared to photoshop,
one can say that PhotoScape is more simplified and is less complicated to use. You can manipulate your photos
from any device using all the tools you needed. There’s a way array of options at any of their preset and they
incredibly handle any image files, from PNG, JPEG and GIFs. The program delivers full color control to their
users on their edited photos which makes it “easy and fun”. Photobucket is a photo and video hosting website. Its
advantages would be its ability to integrate with many other social platforms. Users can create private albums
with password protected guest accounts or make their album completely public. Furthermore, it has a free version
(though it has some limitations)
2. What are the limitations of PhotoScape compared to other image editors?
Photobucket is an image and video hosting website, that was at one point, the largest image hosting service. It can
be widely used for both personal and business purposes. It offers a free and a premium version. The free version
can often be used for non-commercial use and had its limitations such as the photo size, bandwidth and storage
space. Using the free version would limit the users of uploading photos not more than 1 MB and 2 GB of storage
space. Users have less control over their site compared to other photo publishing platforms. Therefore, this
instance became their loosing point as their users were unhappy.
3. What are those things to consider in uploading images over the internet?
The things we must consider when uploading images over the internet is the viewers of the photos. It is necessary
for a user to determine whether a photo must be uploaded in a platform or not. Not all images must be shown if
it’s considered as personal. If it’s for business or commercial use, then it can be substantial. Furthermore, the
quality of the image must be well regarded upon uploading, since some platforms have their own image quality
standards. A website can potentially decrease your image for it to be compatible and easy to upload. Therefore,
one must choose the right file format in order to avoid degrading the photo quality.

a. Which online platform do you consider as more superior platform? Explain.
To my observations, I find Social Media Platforms as a more superior Online Platform. This type of platform
nowadays is more dominant and prominent compared to Blogging Platforms. What makes them more engaging is
their user interaction. The complexity of their system allows them to operate various activities for their users, such
as; posting content, video call, and chat features. Compare to Blogging, Social Media Platforms can also operate
other users’ pages and groups. Moreover, if one is an entrepreneur, this platform is more advantageous for
him/her since it is composed of a large audience. You can pay for advertising services on the platform and directly
contact your customers in just one place. Thus, social media is surely superior, since you can potentially use it for
any intent.
b. What are other blogging platforms besides Word Press that attract you interest? Why?
Other than Word Press, one of the blogging platforms that caught my interest is Tumblr. Firstly, its minimalistic
style makes it easy to use. From the blog posts to account setup, their settings weren’t that intricate. Trying
Tumblr for the first time was enjoyable since things are interactive and their microblogging is convenient. From
multimedia posts, audio files, and content about experiences and thoughts, all of which are supported. Tumblr can
also post to different social channels. All of this can be done from a single dashboard feature so users can stay on
top of their content statistics. More or less, Tumblr is a great Blog site.
c. Besides Word Press and Photo Bucket, what other cloud computing software you desire to use?
Besides Word Press and Photo Bucket, Google Cloud Platform is one of the cloud computing software that I
desire to use. Google Cloud Platform is a suite of public cloud computing services offered by Google. It offers
services for computing, storage, networking, big data, machine learning, and the internet of things (IoT), as well
as cloud management, security, and developer tools. What made it more interesting for me to use is its advantages
such as; Offering high productivity since it tends to have weekly updates in the platform. Therefore, one’s
productivity level will consistently and gradually increase. (Perfect for a student like me). Also, it is capable of
offering complete access for accessing your data from anywhere at any time via Google’s web apps. Lastly, this
software is more reliable since the system goes to a secondary center in case of disruption of data.

a. How hard is it to create a webpage? What makes a site great in terms of graphics, layout or content?
In creating a webpage, it depends on what is being used. The common way to build a website is through
developing HTML and CSS codes which require proficient skills to achieve a desirable page. Creating a site is
challenging if coding would be its foundation. However, the development of WYSIWYG software made
everything easier. Nowadays, websites are easier and more fun to generate. With ready-to-use templates, there’s
no need to meticulously review intricate codes to provide a good outcome for your site. What makes a site great in
terms of content is its consideration of the basic principles of web designing. A website with an organized line of
elements is a great site. The first goal of a page is to immediately captivate the viewers. Therefore, to achieve a
commendable webpage, one must manage the elements of its content.
b. What are the advantages and disadvantages of a WYSIWYG editor?
The advantage of the WYSIWYG editor would be its user convenience. Building a website is difficult for
individuals who’re not skilled in HTML and CSS coding. Therefore, Webpage building software was established
so that people could get a chance to showcase their content without commissioning a skilled programmer.
WYSIWYG editors are easy and fun to use. It has ready-to-use templates and a wide range of themes for your
site. You can either achieve an elegant or minimalistic approach, depending on your style. On the other hand, the
disadvantage of WYSIWYG site builders would be their limited experience. There would be a limited choice of
options with it comes to themes. And some elements may not be up to how you wanted the page to look. These
softwares element options are not easily manipulated since they are already programmed.
c. What is the difference between Word Press Blog and Jimdo Website?
Jimdo is a website builder that emphasizes ease of use, affordability, and a user-friendly approach to online
building. The system allows beginners and experienced web designers to establish a variety of web projects. Word
Press, on the other hand, is a well-known Content Management System that requires download and installation
before beginning with the website development process. Because of its robust integration possibilities and
versatile design modification capabilities, the platform stands out from the rest, allowing anyone to launch a
feature-rich project from the ground up. While Jimdo is a code-free website builder that is ideal for creating DIY
websites, WordPress is a content management system (CMS) that requires at least basic coding knowledge.
WordPress is a well-known Content Management System that must be downloaded and installed before the

a. How does Zoom application help in terms of collaboration with the teachers and the students?
Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing tool that lets you host virtual one-on-one or team meetings easily. With
powerful audio, video, and collaboration features, this remote communication tool connects remote team
members. It helps teachers and students interact with each other virtually. Wherever the location, teachers can
easily commence a video conference to keep in touch with their students amidst the absence of face-to-face
classes. Even with the free version, Zoom has the ability to hold up to 100 participants. It has additional features
such as a whiteboard and signal reactions for students when they have a concern with their topic. The teacher can
also collaborate with them successfully by annotating documents and presentations on other participants’ screens.
With that, virtual and remote discussions are more convenient with zoom.
b. If you were to choose Yahoo or Google, which of these would you recommend to use. Explain.
If it were up to me, I would urge others to use Google rather than Yahoo. Not to be biased, but as the top search
engine, they undoubtedly provide the finest service and quality in comparison to other Web Portals. Google
algorithm is known to be much better than any other search engine. This is because it favors quality content over
well-established links and pages, unlike Yahoo which still prefers old and well-established websites. Google is a
tech-driven company and it adapts easily to the new technological inventions which is the major drawback in the
case of yahoo. They provide their users with reliable and relevant results. Furthermore, they focused on improving
the core search experience to the exclusion of all else for years. Still to this day, Google has the simplest UIs of
any online tool.
c. If you were to create a Facebook group page, what would be its title and group content?
If I had the opportunity to produce a Facebook group page, I would call it Art Society. I want to set up a website
where artists from all around the world could showcase their skills and share them with their peers. The Facebook
page's content would contain artworks by various artist users, such as concept art, a project, fanart, and so on. It
would be an opportunity for them to not only demonstrate their abilities but also to interact with other artists.
Other members can post information on digital illustrator jobs from entertainment firms, art contests from other
communities, or art product manufacturers. They could then look for a possible opportunity to either hone or work
on their art careers. That is all there is to it.

1. Why do we need to design our own exercise plan/workout plan exercise?
We must design a workout plan in consideration of our goals. Our designed program should be anchored on our
objective aims. Whether we want to diminish body fat or to work ourselves to be more physically fit. Moreover,
the correlation of the plan to our current level of fitness is for us to avoid exhaustion. Due to our susceptibility, the
intensity of the program can potentially harm ourselves if not established accordingly. Considering our current
fitness level and goals, we must determine the right type of activity that is well-suited in our state. Furthermore,
this supports the importance of the FITT Principles. By helping us design our fitness program, we are able to do
things appropriately. Through initiating a set of frequency, time, intensity, and type, our level of physical
performance is gradually increased without any difficulties.
