I.A. Week 1
I.A.A. Learning Gains
1. Why is management important in our daily lives?
As a recall, the main aim of management as to its definition is to perpetuate an environment where individuals or
groups, can accomplish their selected or accounted objective. We can’t be well facilitated if management isn’t
applied in our daily lives. Firstly, it's already a part of the humans that were accustomed to, ever since the periods
of antiquity and in times of great development. To think that every day we set tasks that are to be accomplished
for a certain time and is to maintain an environment where everyone may be able to do things efficiently. By
being under the management and systems that are known in these present times, productivity was well
administered to every individual. Our own time, we have To-Dos such as having Breakfast in the morning,
Grocery shopping, paying bills, Work, attend to a particular ceremony, go to the gym, in which if not organized
properly, all will be hectic and cannot be undone at all. Correlating it to the standardized setting, the presence of
companies, businesses, organizations, governments. Among their affiliates are people who adhere to a certain
position and is carrying out a specific task. It may be a CEO, Software Engineer, Marketing Manager or
Executive Assistant. Every workplace and coalition were grouped according to their specialization. Each of them
has its place and functions to execute to have a division of labor for every work to be done expeditiously. If
management was not well observed, then Humanity is hopeless for the endeavored innovation.
2. How can you apply the concept of management in your life?
I can implement the concept of management in my life in ways that will practically be useful for me as a student.
As far as I’m concerned, I have to accomplish a certain goal every day, whether it may be an activity or
performance task, studying for an Evaluation. Everyone is under a hectic schedule and I must do things efficiently
and be able to submit them in observance to timeliness. Because if I don’t do these things accordingly, then it
would greatly affect my capabilities in achieving my Academic Goals. Not only in this aspect but as well as to my
personal development as well. Other than School duties, I am thriving in establishing a better character of myself.
So, setting up a time of when I can do things such as Exercise and Reading books, I sure do apply the concept of
management for me to be able to get them done. Therefore, management’s concept isn’t just applicable to my
daily life but is a necessity as well. It will serve as a mechanism that would drive my productivity in attaining
those feats I wanted to reach.
I.B. Week 2-3
I.B.A. Learning Gains
1. Why is it important to study / analyze the internal and external forces that affect the firm?
The main goal of a firm or business organization is in between the will to succeed or survive. One is going is in a
threatening position considering the dichotomy. The business environment consists of factors that may be
beneficial or hazardous to the Organizational Structure’s Workforce, Performance or Well-Being. Some common
examples of these are inflation, global recessions which is the instability of the relationship between Demand and
Supply. Or it may be natural resources, new technology, newly proposed governmental policies, global markets. If
the firm managers are not well aware of the nature and attributes of the discerned forces in the Environmental
field, then it may result in a depressing downfall for the company. As mentioned in the lesson, it is a well-
accepted notion that the environment determines the business, influenced by the cultural, technological,
economic, political or social factors. Each by which has its characteristics and essence. Therefore, considering
that it is a sole duty of those who are involved in the affiliations of a business to scrutinize these existing
factors/forces in order to form a rationalized solution so that whenever a critical attack may occur, one will be
able to respond efficiently and can thrive for success. It may be something coordinated with any economical
threats. Though contemplating that those dangers are inevitably difficult to overcome and success isn’t much
more of a common word in those situations, it is still a necessity to analyze the internal/external forces that could
affect the firm. If one cannot succeed, one can still survive. “The core of it all is that every organization wants to
survive, and its survival depends on how it copes with its environment”. Just like economic recessions, it may last
for months or even years if it is on a global scale, but if people are knowledgeable and readily assessed of the
cause, effects, attributes of the problem, it may be possible that they can manipulate it to form a strength instead
of a weakness.
I.C. Week 4
I.C.A. Learning Gains
1. How does planning benefit an organization? What potential problems exist in planning?
An affiliate aims for efficiency, and one way to grasp efficient management towards a certain course of action is
to establish a plan. Plans are a systematic framework of objectives that are based on rationalizations and gathered
information before implying initiatives. It is beneficial to any type of organization as it provides various insights
that are associated with the company’s performance. As said, planning involves the accumulation of the correct
database – it is for the affiliate to determine the best option through the provision of supporting information; could
be based on research tests, measurement results, economic state or the market trends or standards to
1. Maximize the company’s resources and materials. If the decision made for the venture is reassured, therefore
the organization’s funds would be safe. In a contrasting scenario, one may lose its capital if irrational
measurements are implied, thus creating liabilities instead of assets out of accountability.
2. With a framework of objectives, efficiency can be well delivered in the workforce since employees discern
their work trajectory. Productivity is observed and can reduce the organizations' unprofitable actions.
3. Speaking of which, we are perceiving various factors that may be a potential opportunity or threat for the well-
being of a company. The business environment is dominated by these factors and if not assessed properly, then it
is a hazardous thing that can trigger the mechanism of an affiliate. Furthermore, knowing what to do will help the
workers increase self-esteem. Since the reduction of possible threats, one may be capable of choosing better
decisions. Potential problems that may commonly occur in planning;
1. The expense of cumulating sources for your plan. Implementing research will require funding and time, which
is why one must consider its feasibility to avoid any excess of assets.
2. If the gathered data is poor in quality and if assumptions are not correct, the affiliation may end up utilizing
inaccurate measurements, thus it may adversely affect the future of the results.
3. Lastly, the organization may not engage in their course of action unless plans are completed hence it causes
delay. The three are capable of being detrimental, and consequently, must be well regarded.
I.D. Week 5
I.D.A. Learning Gains
1. Why do organization adopt specialization? What are the advantages and disadvantages of specialization of
labor?
First and foremost, there’s a presence of managerial functions in the principles of management. Thus, the
foundation of the Organizational Structures generates the divisions of labor/specialization alongside other factors;
the responsibilities and authorities delegated to particular associates. The organization has to apply the approach
of distinctiveness in roles to ensure workflow efficiency among the institution. The expenditure adhered with
different tasks involved in various aspects such as; production, marketing, human resource management/personnel
etc. The organization is then established to have a functional framework or system, composed of allocated
functional activity to the following delegates based on specific expertise. Its necessity lies in the organization’s
yearning for a well-structured workflow that allows the enhancement of productivity among its employees – with
divided labor based on expertise, one may be able to provide the best service at what they’re good at. Which
makes it a beneficial approach to imply any form of managerial or operative association.
Furthermore, the elaboration of its advantages and disadvantages are the following; As to my comprehension, the
Advantages of the specialization approach may include 1. Increase in productivity among employees. The basis of
division of labor is centralized with specialization, where one allocates the tasks or occupations to those who are
well-suited for the job. Hence, workers are capable of learning much faster than jobs requiring many different
skills. It gradually escalates the organization’s working performance on provisioning the best service for their
audience. Additionally, the attainment of desired goals can be made possible for the association for their
observance of mutual coordination. 2. The fabricated policies, goals and objectives appointed by delegates
(managers) are capable of producing an integrated environment for the organization. One manager can supervise
an extensive scale of workers with the same specialization, thence unification can be observed. On the
contradicting side, the following are the disadvantages of the specialization; 1. It may be possible for the workers
to fail to develop any sense of pride in the product and service that they're producing due to the presence of
boredom which may cause a decline in service quality. 2. Workers may develop a sense of unimportance since
they may be unaware of how their area of specialization fits into the overall goal of the organization. And may
feel detachment towards the association. In conclusion, those are my answer to the following queries.
II.A. Week 3
II.A.A. Learning Gains
A. What life lessons have you learned from the verses of the week?
There’s a lot to start with. I will mention a few which is very significant not only to the life I had right now but to
my Spiritual life with God. These lessons are; 1. Not all Christians are Christians. It may sound very unlikely, but
in reality, it does exist. One may never know unless they are aware of it, it’s also frightening to start with.
Because you see, some people may act righteously in front of aplenty, but as to what God sees, in the heart of the
person, one is not being true to itself or it may be that one is never really righteous before God. Salvation makes
us do good things out of our wanting for Christlikeness, yet others may only manifest it to prove themselves to
others. This is why one must secure its Spiritual Well-being if the actions that he did, may not be the acts of his
willingness to serve God and do all things for God’s will. 2. As Followers of God, we must aid. Many are still lost
in the shadows and were drowned in the darkness. We aren’t called sparks of light for anything. As Christians, to
recall, we are given the great commission that is to let them know about the “gospel / good news”. Along with it is
to share the Love of God. It is our purpose to allocate the wonderful things that He gave to us out of His
outstanding love despite our nature. He is the greatest light among all, and we are to guide others to the path that
leads to Him. Lastly, 3. Living peaceably with all. Conflicts are known to be inevitable especially when you are a
Christian, but let it be known that whatever happens, we must remain calm. Remaining at peace doesn’t mean
adhering to the earthly yoke of others for the sake of peace, but the peace of knowing that God is with you,
whatever problems may occur. With Him, we can conquer it because nothing is too hard nor impossible for Him.
That’s all
B. What will happen if Earth’s distance is a little farther or closer to the Sun?
Based on the lessons studied, Earth is in a stable and exact location where life is possible for sustainability. Where
then points to one of the reasons why our planet is unique. Earth is known for its habitable zone, or may as well
be called a “goldilocks zone”. To relate with the goldilocks notion, it’s just right, not too cold nor too hot. Earth as
it is, is also the same. If we’ll say that Earth may change its distance a little farther or closer to the Sun, I believe
based on my intuit with the information that I’ve learned from this lesson, it will have a huge impact on the
Earth’s mechanism. To justify my claim, Venus has its location near the Sun, and therefore it had 453 degrees
Celsius which is very high in temperature (which is too hot for the water since it will turn into vapor) and Mars, to
mention that it is below -55 degrees Celsius, is contrasting with it (Water will freeze with the cold temperature). If
the earth was placed in the proximity of the earth, it may damage the protective layers of the planet since there
may be a probability that those coverings may no longer be able to penetrate the solar wind or any chemicals
released from the sun due to some unprecedented changes of location. Looking at a contrasting scenario, If the
earth was backed out from the Sun, the growth of plants, the photosynthesis (includes sunlight and is significant in
many ways) is going to be more likely obsolete. Photosynthesis requires Sun, and without it, plants forms are
unable to grow, then so destroys the food chain because plants are the primary source in the chain, the uppermost
level. So, with these foundations to this answer for the question, we can testify that Earth may no longer be able to
give resources to its inhabitants such as water nor support life. Or so it may be a gradual decrease of survival, we
can never forecast but it will surely result in numerous and devastating casualties one after another. This is why
the earth is in a very confounded position, that makes it so distinct from the others.
C. If these subsystems do not exist on Earth, what would possibly happen?
The worst scenario you can ever think of. Oblivion or Nonexistence of everything, including Earth itself. A
straightforward answer, because every subsystem, namely the; Biosphere, Atmosphere, Geosphere and
Hydrosphere, is under a work of a cycle or a mechanism. Wherein each of them plays a very important role in the
maintenance of life, and if even one departs from its role, then so results in a major problem for humanity and
among other living organisms. Given the things of what would possibly happen; If the Atmosphere did not exist,
even with the protection of the magnetic field conducted by our planet, the inexistence of the ozone layer will
drive very serious heatwaves, hence resulting in fires, wildfires. Plants may die of being unable to contain too
much heat, and with humans as well. Hydrosphere, without water then chances of survival is also very extinct, as
it is one of the primary necessities for living organisms. Geosphere, without it, Earth itself will be absent, without
the foundations that make it wholly (the core, mantle, crust, asthenosphere, lithosphere) then everything would be
a nonentity. Nothing would serve as a structure for our feet to walk on, neither for the plants to hold on to their
roots. The biosphere that involves the presence of life itself, its nullity would be the same with everything that
exists right now. Oblivious. This is why saving our Environment is a mandatory thing that everyone must do, not
just voluntary. We aren’t just trying to aid the surroundings but ourselves as well. We didn’t think about what
could happen if one is destroyed and to think that if one did not exist at all, then we wouldn’t. What would
possibly happen, right?
D. What are the contributions of these Earth processes to the present world?
The earth processes do have a lot of contributions to this present world. One of which is the capability of
sustaining life; the living or non-living organisms and the habitat that we are accustomed to. The processes made
it possible for life forms to live. Such as Animals, which are among the provision of this distinct world. Some are
being domesticated by Humans which helps us in many ways such as workforce, food, companionship. The
processes’ provision of photosynthesis and other chemicals for plants that give allocations, whether it may be in
the form of food (them being the first in the food chain which makes them very significant) or basic resources
(e.g., oxygen, shade, their important role on avoiding natural destructions like floods). And the presence of
people, who are distinct among others, those who dwell in this world and thriving for new concepts to turn into
innovations. Other than the living, the operations made it possible for non-living organisms to subsist. Examples
of these are the minerals found in grounds or the geosphere, which is very useful to our living in this present
world. Copper from chalcocite and chalcopyrite, Iron, Gemstones, Quartz (the most abundant mineral) etc. have
been considered functional as resources of mankind, as they may use it for constructions, currency, technology,
aesthetics, new inventions that will be practical for them and the proceeding generations. These processes were
able to confer the habitat that we’re habituated to, our environment is under a constant cycle that proves each
factor (e.g., the Biosphere, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere, Geosphere) carry out a function that made it conceivable
for stability in all that is occurring right now. Examples of these were the water cycle, nitrogen cycles, the release
of carbon dioxide and oxygen. Generically speaking, these Earth processes supported all of those who are
involved in it and made life bountiful with the provision of resources that are beyond practicality for each that is
among it.
II.B. Week 4
II.B.A. Activity No. 4
Give description to the following terms below
Folding: It is a distorted - crumpled formation of crustal layers accumulated by earthly movements - the
compression of two plates along the convergent plate boundary. With this force, folded
mountains are made.
Faulting: Faults are areas of fracture within the rock strata alongside with the occurrence of internal
movements. These were made due to the plates acting upon the forces generated in the
lithosphere.
Mountain Building: Mountains are landforms that rise high on the vicinities of its surroundings – made from
the compression of plate boundaries generated by the force underneath, when the dense
plate sinks while the other stays neutral. Their intersection creates pressure on the land
above, which causes it to rise – thus, the formation of mountains.
Mountain Range: These are high, cumulated landforms ranged in a line and are connected by ground -
referring to the description above, these are made from the continuous pressure from the
intersection of two plates in a convergent plate boundary.
Trenches: These are narrow depressions found on the seafloor – made from the intersection of two
plate boundaries where the dense landform slides beneath the less dense landform (hence
the attribute of a Convergent Plate Boundary)
Volcanoes: Volcanoes are openings on the earth’s crust that releases rock fragments, gases, ashes
molten rocks from underneath. They are formed from the intersection of two tectonic
plates – with one being subducted, then is melted on the process which makes molten
rocks. Its dense attribute causes it to elevate and erupt from volcanoes
Valleys: These are elongate depression formed from the geological processes, one of which is
erosion that shapes the landform with the drainage of water. Or it may be the diverging
plates where both of them are moving away in a parallel
Compression: Compressions are generated from the pressure between two plates, caused by the forces
created underneath the lithosphere. (Involved with the Convergent Plate Boundary)
Tension: It is a force / stress, where rocks are extended or pulled apart from each other, thus
moving in a parallel direction. A common attribute of the Divergent Plate Boundary.
Shear: Similar with tension, they are stresses moved away in a parallel direction. But the
difference is that the stress is generated in an opposite direction.
A. How can you apply these learning in your life?
The application of these learnings to my life, I say it’s very much not of a necessity – as to my situation. But to
think about it, these geological processes and interactions are interrelated with us, as to its occurrence in the
present times. They are capable of causing natural phenomena that may lead to extensive casualties. Given are
earthquakes and tsunamis that were generated due to the force underneath, they are the aftermath of plate
movements in the lithosphere. Back to the learning application, we can consider that with the acquired knowledge
and if one may go in-depth in this topic; we can operate a precaution towards the society if we can discern some
clues from the consequences of these plate movements. Because dealing with these phenomena requires broad
knowledge on what is happening around and must able to assess the potential type and magnitude of hazards
associated with the condition. I can apply this at some point, but I’m not yet readily assessed, but on the contrary,
if we assume that if I could be a geologist or a skilled scientist involved in this expertise, then I can very well
implement the learnings that I acquired today.
B. If there are plate movements, what is the connection of these movements in our present situation
As to the present situation, there’s a lot of geological phenomena occurring – one of which is earthquakes. To
what I’ve said earlier; we are involved in these geological processes, in a sense that we are agitated by the
phenomena made after the occurrence of these cycles. Earthquakes as such can cause movements and can result in
major catastrophic casualties; ground shaking, ground rupture, landslides, tsunamis, and liquefaction that may
lead to wiping out of life forms or can generate major destruction in the society. It could demolish infrastructures,
resources and community homes. With these, the government will have to establish funds for reconstruction, and
the loss of resources can be detrimental to the economic state of an area. Earthquakes were dated long before, in
the times of early civilization and have been with us until this present time. For this year of 2021, in between
January to May; there have been 8 major earthquakes and 69 strong earthquakes. “The analysis of seismic activity
by Rested Energy reveals that tremors of above the magnitude of 2 on the Richter scale quadrupled in 2020 and
are on track to increase even further in frequency in 2021” @Insurance Journal. The force, magnitude and
frequency generated by these earthquakes will gradually increase, and if such things happen, it will even cause
more destruction for our part. Not only for the welfare of the society but also for the mechanisms that drive the
societies’ daily life. The connection of these movements in our present situation is vital because it will only be a
forewarning of more phenomena to come shortly.

III.A. Week 2
III.A.A. Mga Natutunan

III.C. Week 5
III.C.A. Mga natutunan
ambag ng iba’t-ibang pangkasaysayan na kaganapan sa pagbubuo ng wika natin;
para sa mga liham, talumpati, sanaysay, kuwento. Ito ay nagamit din ni Jose Rizal sa pagsulat ng kanyang nobela;
Noli Me Tangere at El Filibusterismo.
halo-halong Ingles at wikang Bernakular.

| IV. SOCIAL SCIENCE |
IV.A. Week 1
IV.A.A. Lesson Assessment
1. What are the common topics among the three academic disciplines? Why do you think they share common
topics?
The three academic disciplines mentioned are Anthropology, Sociology and Political Science. As they were
perceived, the common topics that are among them are the Nature of Human Behavior, Society and the use of
certain concepts and methodologies upon facing contemporary conflicts. The plausible reason for their sense of
conventional attributes is the fact that they’re disciplines of Social Science, which involves the study of human
and social relationships. When it comes to Human Behavior, the disciplines are trying to determine the
individual’s personality, actions and perceptions, that may or may not be affected by certain factors such as the
environmental vicinity, community or the government’s implication of policies. Their Origins are also being well
regarded, the biological development which includes their genetic composition. Not to mention the culture and
social structures that they were accustomed to, which points us to another topic, Society. We are looking in-depth
at its complexion because it will be noted in any type of field. It may be the Economical Aspect, Archeology and
the disciplines mentioned earlier. So then comes the question, why did those disciplines share common topics?
Because it is for their sole purpose of knowing and trying to build up new concepts and theories that will be
beneficial in many ways, including the Contemporary Issues that are occurring nowadays. Those established
conceptualizations may help design solutions and innovations as the precedence of time to the future.
2. What does this statement mean to you? “Social science disciplines can create a meaningful impact to us in
becoming a complete person with a purpose”
As to the statement presented, my perceptions and thoughts with this are; Social Science has its existence because
humans demanded of studying themselves. And as I mentioned earlier in my response to the first query, their
studies fabricate theories and conceptualizations that are more likely beneficial in many ways. That is by being
able to construct fathoms, solutions for any complication and the sake of mankind’s innovation. Yet additionally,
as based on the last part of the assertion, if it is also for the person completing itself with a purpose, that will
include more philosophical profundity. For me, Social Science does create an impact on the individual utilizing
making one whole, yet considering Biblically, God makes us complete, I would never consider this as a
substantial thing that would make us complete. When one scrutinizes a single thing, it gains knowledge and
alongside understanding, one reaps an extensive insight. This would be the fulfilment in one’s well-being, and I
would agree so if I am not well aware of God’s existence. But only God completes us, He’s the main dish, and
Social Science is just a side dish. It just came along with Human Curiosity that could bestow us a feeling of
accomplishment and purpose temporarily in this temporary world. That’s all.
IV.B. Week 4-5
IV.B.A. Learning Gains
1. In relation to cultural relativism, how do we appreciate cultural values and norms without judgement and
feeling of superiority?
First and foremost, we’ll be capable of doing so by accepting the paramount fact that we’re all doing the same
thing, regardless we are doing it in different ways. Cultural diversity has been a disruptor of our integration, it is
inevitable to scrutinize someone out of our cultural preferences, given the point that all of us are just the same.
Biologically and basically, we are not apart from each other. Basic things that we all commonly do; the initiative
of searching needs out of necessities, the innovative thinking to survive in a changing environment, complying to
moral grounds – that is typical human ethics. Furthermore, we must be mindful that our cultural values and norms
came from the same root factor – environmental change. It is the considered foundation of the alteration of
humans, culture and society. The mechanism that drives human innovation is nature’s fluctuating nature.
Scientifically, animals tend to adjust to the new environment in chances of survival, and humans do the same.
Thus, with this, they establish beliefs, traditions, where leads to the creation of culture. And bearing in mind the
geographical situation, people are allocated in various areas that then implies the principle of cultural variation.
Tropical, Subtropical and Extratropical regions differ in temperature, thus people who lived in one of the given
examples would live incongruously among others – due to what is accustomed to them. Likewise, the
geographical region is just one of the factors that may have founded cultural variation. Lastly, there’s no need for
judgement since everyone diverges in perception and we are still able to live in convergence. And by doing so, we
must expand our knowledge concerning the familiarity of others – discovering their accepted essence for us to see
their version of beauty, hence valuing their culture apart from ours.
2. Why do you think changes in the types of societies are very relevant in the lives of the people?
The changes we’ve undergone as time proceeds are crucial to the lives of people. It is an indication of human
evolvement, from static methodologies to revolutionary notions, needed of making headway for the next point of
history. All of which shows the innovative nature of people. From the usage of only human instincts and tools in
demand for their need of survival to industrialization and development of visionary systems. These changes can
be associated with a more formal term – Incremental Innovation.
Incremental Innovation in entrepreneurship refers to the business’ ability to review the feedback of the audience
which allows it to gradually grasp onto success. Concerning society amendments, it enables people to look back at
the previous era or discern the existing notion in the present situation, for them to be able to assess what is lacking
them from meeting the stipulations of proceeding to the next era. The principle of “learning from our mistakes”
enables us to successfully continue our course of action. Humans before aren’t apart from humans nowadays and
still share a common goal; to generate fresh conceptualizations for the betterment of humanity and the
approaching generation. It’s a ruminating cycle, whence the beginning of the foraging society to the capitalistic
society, humans tend to discover more ways to reform, thus they are implying the sense of modernization for the
people present today. Therefore, the changes are of relevance to the lives of people, yet they’re more of a
necessity for human development.
V.A. Week 2
V.A.A. Lesson Assessment
a. What have you learned in this lesson?
Considering the lessons for this week, and for the previous week, there were recalled and newly studied notions as
I go through its content. I’ve learned about Functions, their introduction, how they we’re used as different notions
such as; a table set, graph as tested using the vertical line test, the piece-wise function, its evaluation, how it
would be shown as a machine with the input, output process, and the implication of it in real life. As for the week
2, I’ve learned about the operations and applications of functions where it is a further discussion of functions. It
includes fundamental operations of functions which must be applied when there’s two or more existing function.
Having f and g as your functions and x as your domain, and so was operated and defined out of addition,
subtraction, multiplication, division, composition. There also includes modelling, where implies that in the
existence of two components, one is dependent on the other and with that, model was presented. As it determines
the relationship of these two components, when one is trying to solve a certain problem. We were opened to some
examples that involves real life situations, and intuit the problem with logical thinking of who affects who,
determining the one that is independent and dependent and constructed possible solutions based on the objectives
given.
b. How can you apply these learnings in your life?
More or less, functions are not as applicable as they are in different conceptualizations, but regardless of that it
does have an implication in real life situations. As mentioned, we have modelling, where one variable is
dependent on another, and the basis of its enactment is to determine the occurring problems with the relationship
of both components in order to design a solution and predict some attributes of the subject. So as to my own
opinion, it is much related to real life situations which gives me a few points on how would I be able to apply this
certain learning in real life. One to give consideration, are the presence of research. Though conducting one isn’t
very often, but since I am a student, we aren’t going to miss it. In research, variables are also presented and just as
functions, we have independent variables and dependent variables. Researches are conducted because of the
demand of scrutinizing an event with the presence of a problem, determining who affects who and designing a
possible solution on the basis on the established objectives of the study. Modelling also does the same thing, and
unknowingly it is already being applied in real life such as this one. This involves logical reasoning, and except
scholastic research, these might as well be implemented in organizations, affiliations, management. And so, it be
with my day-to-day situations, such as figuring out why grades might be gradually increasing or decreasing and
figuring out how to resolve it. That’s all.
V.B. Week 4
V.B.A. Learning Gains
a. What have you learned in this lesson?
For this week, I've gained insight concerning the graphing of rational functions and their crucial principles that
must be well-observed in its execution. Moreover, there were some new methodologies in regards to the usage of
the cartesian plane at a higher level. Previously, rational functions were discussed - the introduction of basic
concepts and how functions are applied in different forms, their operational implications in equations and
mathematical problems. Lately, we were opened to rational equalities and inequalities, thus we are then
introduced to its graphing approaches – for one to be mindful of the characteristics of the original equation. The
terms domain, range were recalled, and few terminologies were introduced, namely; x and y-intercepts –
intersections of the graph, vertical and horizontal asymptotes which are very significant since it determines how
the function will behave at the very edges of a graph. The emphasis of one’s avoidance of being an undefined
expression is commonly prominent in the lesson, ensuring that x must never be equal to a value that would make
the equation’s denominator, hence undefined or no possible values (or it may be a contrast). It was well hinted at
when one is decoding the value of the x-intercept, vertical asymptote and range. Furthermore, I was able to gain a
fact that the function’s graph is never destined to intersect the imaginary line/asymptote, yet may only be able to
have close contact with it. The graph of a function can't intersect a vertical asymptote (or a vertical line in general)
at more than one point. Likewise, that was everything covered for this week’s lesson learnings. It was quite
enjoyable, despite at first, it was hard to comprehend – but with a little bit of perseverance, one may attain its
demands for its needed learnings.
b. How can you apply these learnings in your life?
Rational equations can be very well applied in my life, as to the fact that they are capable of being used in many
real-life situations. We can use them to describe speed-distance-time relationships and modelling work problems -
modelling rational equations. They can also be used in problems related to mixing two or more substances. They
can represent certain factors and determine what's being asked in the problem which makes it very applicable in
my life. Though not oriented enough on how to apply it, those are the possible things that we can do with it. Some
of the implementable notions that may associate with the question; since I am a student, one can consider using
this upon measuring her time to properly manage her workflow; I have a hectic schedule and is awful at
governing my pace, thus it is only a necessity for me to allocate my time in my significant tasks for the day.
Firstly, measuring the time I spend each day on schoolwork, approximately 8-10 hours per day (included online
class). Divide it with the time I frequently used for working on my academic performances - with the hours I
spend on attending online classes every afternoon. Those are the substantial factors that we can involve in that
situation. Another thing that is also a considerable approach is my performance tracking. Though it’s painful to
look back at those low scored quizzes, with that at least keep on track with them hence, upon the next chance, I
can further improve what’s lacking. I usually keep a spreadsheet of them, and once it’s filled for the first quarter, I
may be able to imply the principles of rational equation’s modelling. Likewise, those are the workable things that
one may be able to apply the approach of this lesson. That’s all.
| VI. ENGLISH – ORAL COMMUNICATION |
VI.A. Week 1
VI.A.A Lesson Assessment
A. For my stand, I choose to agree with the online classes amidst the current events.
"Good day, I know most of you've been wondering regarding my choice and I am here with reasonings, for
justification. As of this circumstance, we must prioritize everyone's safety, the pandemic already caused casualties
not only in the Government and Economical state of the nations but also in the people under those systems as
well. Let's not do it to our future as well. All of you may question, why pursue Online classes? Education? Here
are five of my reasons.
; One, it is significant. I know health is much more a priority at this moment, others may think of valuing their
health more than their education. I respect their case and would say the same thing. But tell me, what keeps us
going? Every day, what makes us do everything we do? Knowledge. It's our self-driven mechanism that helped us
innovate throughout the centuries. And as said earlier, we have losses, however, let us not lose our future. How
can we proceed another time without knowing anything at all? How can we produce professionals if we've never
taught them anything? Teachers to educate the next generations, Managers to operate, Attorneys to defend, Nurses
to care and most importantly, Doctors to cure. What if the pandemic lasts? How can we keep going?... We are in a
declining state of human resources, especially in the medical field. The sustainability of the survival of humans
will be at risk if there are more patients instead of doctors. Frankly saying, it is reality. So, if not pursuing Online
Education now, then when?
; Second, it helps us enhance. Online class. There's a lot of complaints, I'm among them. Yet come to think of it,
we are striving to establish new approaches to connect. It is to prove that no matter the costs, we are thriving for
something better and designing solutions for contemporary issues. We are learning as we go through the process
of figuring out how to use new technology, as well as the people behind the development of those learning
systems. They've made these mechanisms to provide convenience to us; by seeing the problem, designing a
solution, then no matter the results or feedback upon using it will help them develop a better one. For our part, we
try to adapt, learn, expand our knowledge as well. All of us are enhancing either way. It's a part of human nature
of making things easier for us and learning in each step of progress, which is why we're trying to innovate and
improve.
; Third, it shows. Shows what exactly? It has come to my dismay that not all of the children of this generation can
access online classes. I am well aware that not all of us have abundant resources, nor affording necessities for this
new learning approach and bear with what's the impact on one’s physical and mental state… So, what do we do
with it? We help. In ways of aiding will show that we are still human. By handing out assistance and support to
them will manifest empathy and unity. A group isn't one without unity, the same with mankind, but we're a bigger
example. We give them provision of their needs, endow them the care they needed and accommodate them. So
that no matter what comes before us, we can face them together. UNICEF is one of the organizations that led me
to this realization, seeing less fortunate children that are in greater need of education. Human rights, education is
fundamental to everyone, including them. Let us help them, one way or another.
; Fourth, it gives us a principle. Whatever the hardships may come, we face them. By fronting them, we do
preparations. The enactment of online classes is a challenge, its fulfilment will follow more hurdles amidst the
pandemic today, regarding the rising cases reported by the WHO. I'm well aware of that. Not saying we should
rush things but take things slower. Every action that we take as of these present times must never be administered
without preparation and if we apply this approach, everyone must be well-informed regarding the pandemic, the
discipline and policies made. An overview of the must-know particulars, Health Protocols! Adhering to these
aren't voluntary but mandatory and initiated.
; Lastly, it gives us hope. Learning something new every day grants us the hope of still expecting a tomorrow.
This is one of the things we must outlook which made me agree to online classes, we never know what to expect
for the next day in consideration of what happened yesterday. Time is unpredictable but I do believe that we are
ought to learn something new every day.
Despite these detriments, all the holocaust and dangers that occurred and may occur. Nonetheless, we consider
these but must look at the bigger picture. In these trying times, for those who are strong in their place today, help
the weak. Those who are still bountiful, give to the needy, those who are safe, pray for those who are not.
That’s all. Thank You”

Jin and Beru are in a middle of a war in Jeju Island against the Dragon monarch’s army. Jin took care of the
western border while Beru is on the eastern border. Many additional troops appeared from the northern border and
are advancing to the southern border which most of the evacuated civilians are placed. Jin is trying to contact
Beru through their system; to tell Him to proceed to the southern border to protect the civilians from the
approaching army.
Jin: “The Dragon Monarch’s army are advancing to the south border; we must eliminate them immediately. Can
you take care of them Beru?”
Beru: “army…must. Bozzetto…eliminate…Beru”

7 “What are the possible scenarios if we would do this?” Yes
8 “It won't work here.” No
9 “That's one of the alternatives we can explore.” Yes
10 “You're asking the wrong person.” No
VI.D. Week 5
VI.D.A. Preliminary Activities
1. Why is English vital in the globalization of the world?
Having Ayame’s Research as the basis for this question; Japan in the late 1900s had the most successful economy
that they do not need reliance on other foreign countries. In 1989, based on the world market capitalization
rankings, seven top Japanese companies had dominated the top 10 listings. After that period, around 1999, there’s
at least two companies in the ranking. Over time, their rank position gradually decreased; by 2015, their top
company was listed in the 44th place in two decades. To designate the cause of their drop and to state the
importance of the English language in globalization, I’ll be listing down some points;
1. Japanese has postulated that they have a progressive economy, hence there’s no intention of negotiating with
other foreign countries.
2. With that, the English language wasn’t in their practicality, not only in their economic state but also in their
society; where foreigners are not very much discerned.
3. Considering the 1st & 2nd point, they are a centralized country, so their conceptualizations are more significant
to them than the ones from the external area (foreign) which causes the downfall of their ranking in the world
market capitalization ratings. Because of their principle, they were not able to associate with other foreign
countries. Thus, speaking in English isn’t much of an importance for them. Even they were at the top of the
ratings, but over time, they are not able to maintain consistency in their position. Since they didn’t connect with
the others and grabbed the opportunity to deliberate new conceptualizations. Furthermore, how could they even
communicate with foreign countries? They’ve lacked on knowing the fact that English is one of the most used
languages on the global scale – with 50 countries declaring it as their language, compared to theirs that the
Japanese language is only on the Japanese country. So, it’s 5 times the difference. Generally, to break the
language barrier among the divergence of countries, the English is the best choice of language to use.
Communication is then possible, alongside the allocation of different notions that will help us imply the
convergence among us. Thus, without it, our thrive for succession will be at risk.
2. What are the ways to improve our English skills according to the video?
One can improve his/her English in a way that he/she must create intrapersonal opportunities using spoken
English. According to Ayame, one of the ways to hone this skill is to engage in communication with native
English speakers/foreigners. Likewise, in this method, we’ll be able to observe and determine how they’re using
English – it may be the use of colloquialisms, idioms, body language. As Miss Ayame shares her experience, she
stated that her encounter with foreigners since her kindergarten years has very much contributed to her English
fluency. Therefore, her comprehension and implication of the English language are gradually progressive, thus
she now considers it as her second language. Likewise, reading books and watching foreign movies are also a way
of enhancing one’s English skills. Movies are able to depict conversations between foreign people and can also
portray their way of implementation of the English language. Furthermore, Miss Ayame also proposed another
method, which is one’s engagement on the internet – where all of the information is accumulated inside an
interconnected network. Hence, there’s an extensive source of English material located on the web that one can
use for learning and enhancement of his/her English skill.
VI.D.B. Learning Gains
What are the top five ways to co-exist with people across cultural diversity and different moral beliefs?
With the presented video about cross-cultural communication, presented by Pellegrino Riccardo; He discussed
situational examples and synthesized the main points of what we must consider in creating ways upon co-existing
with people across cultural diversity and differences of moral beliefs. The following are;
1. We must regard the fact that other people don’t see you the way you see yourself. You had yourself an
instigator for you to portray a character that you want other people to discern. It doesn’t work that way - truth be
told that everyone had various insights on how they see things and one of the Bases of this difference is the
culture they grew upon. The speaker shared one of his experiences during his travels; He’s trying to speak with
the assistant; “he’s late for his flight and would not consider it since he’s a punctual person”. Saying that on an
Italian tone towards an assistant on an English-based airline, of course, they would chuckle. The Italians believed
that manifesting emphasis on one’s voice would project vigor, considering that they believe in the power of
speech. However, if the receiver of the message is not Italian, they would not perceive you as the person you are
trying to project. With that be casual with your actions and try to be meticulous about them whenever you're in an
international public area.
2. Being aware that Misconceptions towards various cultures are common due to differences. Interrelated with the
first, but giving more depth to it; anyone has their way of doing a certain thing, and if such happened, one might
be misinterpreted. The way other people communicate compared to the Norwegian folks are very much
contrasting with each other. Common nationalities (English people) would say a long phrase to fully express their
thought in a certain situation, whereas Norwegian people, would just simply say a word that already represents a
long phrase, such as Oi! (Apologizing for bumping into someone) or Hai? (For clarifying the message). To the
people who aren’t Norwegian, that might be considered rude because they aren’t aware of the Norwegian
principle when it comes to their language. Therefore, to avoid misconceptions, be meticulous with your actions
and try to know of what’s their beliefs. And by doing so, we have the third, most vital way, which is;
3. Curiosity. It is a key ingredient for the efficiency of cross-cultural communication. Try to ask questions and
listen to their answers; with that one may know that what he/she did was wrong and could be beyond the morals
of the person he/she is talking to. With that, we may be able to
4. Determine what is accepted and familiar – hence the definition of culture; the foundation of the globalized
divergence. Because of divergence among us, not all people are doing the same way of what you’re doing. E.g.,
driving along the public transport lane, the way the Frenchmen drive along the public transport lane is very much
different from how the Indian People are doing it. For French, they observe proper arrangement in the roads
through following the white lines on observance to order. Forasmuch as Indian people don’t, they have a chaotic
way of public transportation and do not implement order at all. Likewise, it is important to conduct research of a
certain group’s culture before visiting their country for you to
5. We must establish ways that would drive convergence towards us. One of which may be through the
implementation of having English as our second choice of language. Based on Miss Ayame’s Speech, English is
the most spoken language globally. Hence, this is one of the things that may manage our interrelatedness with one
another. And with that, we are gradually creating a global mindset, where barriers will no longer hold us from
building connections with each other.

2. How can you communicate with people more effectively, now that you have explored the intercultural facet of
communication? Give three effective ways.
After exploring cultural the intercultural facets of communication, some of the contemplated ways on how to
communicate with people more effectively are;
1. Trying to be curious by asking questions and picking up a word that would follow up your query. Curiosity is a
key for effective communication, by asking questions, one will be able to determine valuable insights about the
person he/she is talking to. (These insights cover the individual's view/perspective influenced by their beliefs,
cultural norms, and values.)
2. Try to research other people's beliefs, for one to be aware of what is accepted and familiar to them (you can
validate your research once you ask them about it). Misconceptions will be avoided since we are aware of what is
beyond their moral beliefs and know what is accepted and familiar to them. We can avoid doing things that may
seemingly be normal to us, but different to them.
3. Use the English Language. Due to cultural barriers - various perceptions, communication might be a hard thing.
Therefore, it is we must try to extend our borders and establish a way of communicating with them to diminish the
barriers created due to cultural differences – through using the English language. Based on Mr. Pellegrino and
Miss Ayame statements, they have postulated some facts in regards to the English language;
- “Using the English language, people will take you more seriously” - “English is the most spoken language on a
global scale”
- “Over 1 billion people across the world are using English – over 50 countries considered English as their
language”.
By having a basis on these affirmations, we could say that by implementing the English Language in our
communication with others, we’ll be able to drive convergence and interrelatedness towards others.

VII.A. Week 1
VII.A.A. Lesson Assessment
A. What makes Academic Text Formal and Complicated?
Academic texts are distinctive since it's known for Formality and Complexity. Two things that contribute to those
attributes are Objectives and Rules. Objectives are aims intended to meet when writing an Academic text because
it must inform the audience, which must be gradually perceived. Then the Rules, which must be considered since
the content is informative, therefore the data must be Accurate and Precise when it comes to delivery. Not to
mention, Hedging, which is also significant as it determines the difference between a claim and a fact.
VII.A.B. Learning Gains
1. What new or additional learning have you had after taking up this lesson in terms of knowledge and attitude
toward academic papers and writings?
The new additional learning that I’ve had in this lesson that surely manifested the nature of Academic papers and
writing are hedging. It’s a fresh concept other than the rest that was quite a recall for me. The best thing that I like
about is its function. When it comes to writing academic papers, the main goal is to inform the reader(s)/audience,
its context would contain facts from based references and claims if one may want to support his/her stand. If there
may be instances that a statement asserted is not properly specified whether it’s a fact or a claim, it could result in
complications, considering the rules and the formality of writing an academic paper. Mistakenly, people would be
convinced that your claim is correct to well in truth it is perceived as a fact, which is not. Now comes the role of
Hedges, where you state a phrase before your assertion to determine the difference between claims and facts. It
will serve as a caution and will serve as a polite way of postulating your uncertain claim.
2. How can you relate to the verse of the week?
The verse of the week for August 30-September 3 is James 1:27; Pure and undefiled religion before God is this: to
visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. It was “pure and
undefiled religion before God” that caught my attention. Relating to the verse, and this part, I am a struggling
Christian where doubts took over me. There are times when I’ve thought to myself that maybe I am claiming to be
religious when I am not because I am not well aware of my actions and thus showing the traits of Spirituality.
Generically saying, most of the actions that I’m well aware of were not righteous, neither can be contemplated to
be modest, for my understanding as to the basis of Spirituality. As a result, I keep feeling mixed emotions; guilt
and shame which led to uncertainty in my Salvation. If a Christian exists in this world, it may be expected that
things would be a challenge. In an environment full of temptations that’s hard to resist, I’ve already failed. Truly
it is difficult to keep oneself from being unspotted. Nevertheless, I say I am still hoping that I can find reassurance
with this matter and try to establish myself in Christlikeness. Also, praying for others struggling with this matter.
That’s all.
VII.B. Week 2
VII.B.A. Lesson Assessment
1. Among the critical reading strategies, which do you usually use? Why?
Among the critical reading strategies given, I usually use the three reading stages, namely; strategies before,
during and after reading. To stipulate, one’s objective when reading is to have an explicit intuit towards the
article. I for one, want to fully digest a certain text, especially when it is informative. Given are my actions to
justify my claim of using the three stages of strategies; I tend to have some expectations towards the article’s
heading, to see If my interpretations with it correspond to the content I’m about to read. Furthermore, with this
analysis, I usually build a foundation on what are my expectations with regards to the content and what I wanted
to learn (Before reading strategies being applied). Undergoing the article, I’m not much of a fast reader that has
good comprehension, hence I take down notes to later synthesize and review upon fulfilling my main objective.
The notes jotted down involves intricate vocabulary words that are unfamiliar, phrases and thoughts that are
vague in notion. (Depending on the content- if applicable) Determining what is the argument being presented and
what is the insights of the author towards it – if it’s very well supported with facts and researchable resources that
may be able to bring me into persuasion. And in researches, I apply the necessity of constructing a conceptual
framework that entails factors that are significant to the asserted situation in the study. Likewise, the during
reading strategies are being applied. Ultimately, I reflect and review myself of what is the most vital information
for further ingestion. All things considered; I use the three stages strategies because it helps me acquire a better
understanding of any form of articles / informative texts.
VII.C. Week 4-5
VII.C.A. Learning Gains
INSTRUCTIONS: GIVE THE SUMMARY OF THE GIVEN TEXT BELOW.
Seagulls live on the beach. They eat small fish, bread, and seaweed. Seagulls run quickly on the sand and fly
quickly in the sky. Seagulls will run or fly away if you try to catch them. There are many seagulls on the beach.
Crabs also live on the beach. They eat shrimp, ocean plants, and small fish. Crabs crawl quickly on the sand and
in the ocean. Crabs will crawl away if you try to catch them. There are many crabs on the beach, but it is not
always easy to see them.
Starfish live on the beach, too. They eat clams, oysters, and small fish. Starfish move slowly on the sand and in the
ocean. Starfish will not move away if you try to catch them. There are few starfish on the beach.
Answer | There’s a diverse variation of animals that reside on the beach. Some of which are Seagulls, Crabs and
Starfish. They are distinctively unique, in terms of; their food consumption, agility, population count and their
behavior whenever you try to catch them.
| VIII. BIBLE |
VII.A. Week 1
VIII.A.A. My Learning Gains
1. Is God present in Hell now?
Omnipresence is one of God’s natural attributes alongside with Omnipotent and Omniscience. Therefore, we can
surely say that He is present anywhere. Not only on the basis in this week’s lesson but I
n the Bible. If it’s said in the Holy Book, it is true. Said so in Psalm 139: 7-12, “Where can I flee from Your
presence? You are there; even there Your hand will guide me” His presence is in all places. Now asks the
question, how about in hell? Isn’t it a place where man is separated from God? True. Indeed, it is, and He can be
there right now if He wants to yet He’s not. However, I believe, some presence of Him is surely present in hell,
it’s the sense of His wrath. God’s presence in Heaven is by showing love to His creation while in Hell, there’s no
love, only rage. The presence of His Wrath. That’s from my opinion, also considering some information from the
Bible.
2. Did God write the Bible as a textbook to prove His existence?
Not as a textbook, a textbook is used as a standard work for the study of a particular subject (@Wikepedia). Yet I
do believe that God did write the Bible to present His existence: The Bible is assuming that there’s a God who
existed ever since the first starting phrase of the Bible; Genesis 1: 1, “In the beginning, God”. And it is inspired by
Him. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God”. The complexity of the Bible is a
compilation and sources of poems, stories, historical events, testimonies, prophecies and many more that is
written by the Holy Men that God used. On accounts of these, it is to surely to say that there is a God and it is a
way of revealing of Himself to us. Saying that it is to prove His existence, yes it can. Yet even though we can
additionally place that thought, Human Conscience is sufficient enough to provide the fact that there is a God, the
Bible is just a further elaboration of His nature. Humans are intelligent to state that there is a Supreme being that
operates the whole existence of Universal Systems. A mechanism cannot operate without an operator, and can’t
exist without an Engineer, alongside its blueprints. It’s not just some coincidence because everything is properly
placed, planned and is not out of randomness. The Bible even stated that only a fool would say that there is no
God; Psalms 14 :1. Others only tend to deny since they don’t want to be accountable for their transgressions;
James 2:19 (even demons believe God’s extant). The presence of everything we see today is enough for us to
comprehend there is one but the Bible is the one that further states that there is only one God who rules; 1
Timothy 2:5
3. Give at least 3 attributes of God and explain each with supporting verses?
3 Chosen attributes of God:
Omnipotent: God is an all-powerful being proven in the Bible since the time of creation, one of the greatest
miracles He ever did (on my opinion). The first verses of Genesis 1: 1 & 3, has conveyed that in the beginning,
there’s God who made everything through His voice, “God said Let there be light, and there was light”. The
division of heaven and earth, emergence of land. Not to mention, the extensive universe which was still not fully
discovered by mankind is one of His creations. The Red Sea He parted for His people to cross and flee from the
Egyptians, Exodus 14: 21 “Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and
the waters were divided”. If He can create anything, divide the seas, close the mouths of vicious beasts, provide
for His people, bring back the demised, is there something He can’t do? Surely there’s none; Luke 1: 37, “For
nothing will be impossible with God.”
Omnipresent: His presence is everywhere at the same time. Ephesians 1: 23 “Which is His body, the fullness of
Him that fills all in all.” In all of us, He gave the company, Exodus 33:14 “And he said, “My presence will go
with you, and I will give you rest.” Thinking that numerous of us existed, therefore He’s been present countless
times. And in those times, we became His priority. Regardless of how impossible these things might be, yet never
in a single point, He lost His presence nor lacking with it. Because He did say; Jeremiah 32: 27 “Behold I am the
Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me?”. Nothing at all.
Omniscient: God is our creator, and just like anyone who creates their design is well familiarized with the
intricacies of their formation. Psalm 147:4, “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.”
In giving more in-depth to His Creation, all are made from the composition of small elements that are joined
together to establish a thing. And to think of it, they’re innumerable, both small elements and things. The
characteristics of each of their outlines are well cultivated, God is more than just being Creative. He even knows
the thoughts of man, even now, nothing is hidden from Him. 1 John 3: 20 “God is greater than our heart, and He
knows everything”. Therefore, He is indeed All-knowing.
4. Why is it important to make the Bible as the basis of your faith and practice? Why and why not?
I do believe that making the Bible the basis of my faith and practice is significant, in a way that it is God’s words.
And those who do not abide by His words may not live a spiritual life abundantly. Matthew 4: 4 “'Man shall not
live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” Moreover, the Bible is a necessity
for everyone. For it is filed of many contents that is 2 Timothy 3: 16; profitable for doctrine, reproof, for
connection, instruction in righteousness. Giving value to it will also be resourceful, for it can be a source of
comfort in trying times, a Weapon in temptations, Satisfaction in this temporary world. So, with it as our
foundation for our growth, it will be guiding and nourishing us thoroughly as we do every good work and follow
God’s way in a path of darkness. Psalm 119:105, “Thy Word Is a Lamp unto My Feet and Light unto My Path”.
5. Write some specific things you intend to do in response to the things you have learned from the attributes of
God.
At this moment, I would pray. Giving praise to Him for He is one Almighty God whose love was never unfailing,
nor His provision for me. I would never stop thanking Him for giving me this opportunity in life, knowing Him
more and realizing How grateful I am to have Him as my Creator. Would never stop thanking him for He saw me
and blessed me despite my unworthiness. Knowing He is greater than everything that we thought is great and Him
caring for beings like me that is far from His level is overwhelming. He is good, very good. And if a certain time
will come where He’ll bestow me a chance of sharing Him to aplenty, having enough courage and passion for that
allocation, then I will do it. Even to think that I may not be a public speaker, but I really intend to share, to
postulate, to fulfil the purpose that He gave me. That is to let His name be known to earth, so others may find
Him, the greatest among all. Those are the things I aspire to do, hopefully, I may do it someday. That’s all.
VIII.A.B. Additional Activity
Explain the following attributes
- God is glorious
By means of saying “glorious,” it is one that is having a striking beauty or splendor that evokes feelings of
delighted admiration, is worthy of high praise (@OxfordLanguages). God is one with this extensive brightness out
of His manifested holiness and glorious deeds; Exodus 15: 11, Psalm 145: 5. Indeed was true, remember when
Moses came to meet God at the mountain of Sinai? His face was shining as it reflected God’s presence, that he
had to cover himself with a veil when speaking to the people of Israel; Exodus 34:34–35. He is the holiest upon
all of there is, as said He is “Holy, Holy, Holy”. Three times mentioned for it only indicates that He is the
Almighty among all and the only one worthy of Praise; Revelations 4: 8. Indeed, He is glorious.
-Gracious
God is a gracious being, in a sense that out of His steadfast love; Exodus 34: 6 He bestows us everything of which
we are unworthy of. As said His love, one of the things that we’re undeserving, for we can’t even love Him back
because of our earthly choices. Not loving Him back is the greatest sin, and that we’re doomed for His upcoming
wrath. Yet instead of doing so, due to His merciful nature, He gave us hope. One that must be shared and accepted
wholeheartedly and not taken out for granted. (Additionally, the upcoming wrath is still inevitable for those who
didn’t chose Him, only for those who followed Him, will be granted by His Mercy)
- Long-Suffering
God is a long suffering being in a sense that He is a patient person. He is one that gives second chances, for His
steadfast love that never ceases, in His abiding mercies. Wrath that may be brought to our presence, yet He gave
us forgiveness. For our iniquities and transgressions but he delights in steadfast love; Micah 7: 18, Numbers 14:
18. Though this is not an exception for us continuing on evil acts, this is a demonstration of His Faithful love for
mankind despite unworthiness; Lamentations 3:21-23. One best affirmations of His love are when He sacrificed
His only beloved Son, for the Salvation of the world, for those who believe in Him. John 3:16.
-Jealous
God gave us a offered us Salvation, which is a way of reconciliation to the Father through the Son. Though we
may say God is in control of our lives, but we had a choice if we abide to His will or not. One cannot serve two
masters. Matthew 6: 24. He is not jealous in a sense of the typical jealously of mankind that is rooted by envy. But
is stated that one must not make idols for them to worship, because indeed He is a jealous God; Exodus 20:4-5 It
is a different use of the word “jealous” when God says He is jealous. What He is jealous of belongs to Him;
worship and service belong to Him alone, and are to be given to Him alone.
- Compassionate
For His steadfast love, no one like Him loved us more than anyone else. He is a God of compassion, long-
suffering, in abounding mercy and grace; 1 Kings 8:23. That is proven by giving us mercy from His wrath and
grace in a way of Him sacrificing His beloved Son for the Salvation of Mankind, for those who believe; John
3:16, 1 John 4:9. Him bestowing us a way of reconciliation with Him, nothing could ever separate us from the
love of God. Romans 8:35 (though again, this is not an exception that we must continue to sin, it is just an
indication of His Love, yet we must never be disregarding His wrath since for those who chose not to believe and
follow Him will be doomed)
-Great
Indeed, He is great, for everything that He is. For He is one with abounding attributes and is the Almighty among
all; 2 Chronicles 2:5, Psalm 86:10. Nothing is impossible for Him, neither storms nor beasts and extensive seas,
He had done countless great works which is beyond overwhelming. Also giving recognition to the days of
Creation, which was only done with His voice. He commanded everything, and was done effortless. Surely, there
is nothing too hard for Him, He can do anything and everything. For He is Great; Psalm 33: 9, Jerimiah 32; 27.
-Invisible
God is invisible, mysterious. No one ever saw Him or How He is face to face. If one did show, everyone will be
blinded by the light, the brightness that He has manifested upon His holiness. No one can see Him anywhere He is
invisible with only His presence present everywhere for He is omnipotent. He has an unapproachable light; 1
Timothy 6: 16. On seeing Him is having extensive fathom, and our eyes are not able to comprehend to his
abounding glory. Additionally, God is a Spirit and has no form; John 4: 24, John 5: 37. Though contradicting it to
the fact that a few of the men in the Bible had witnessed God, but it’s in a vague state. We might say, these are
His forms He took over but originally, God is a Spirit.
-Upright
He is righteous and no evil has ever dwelled among Him. One of the reasons why mankind was separated from
God is due to sin, which is unrighteous before Him. With that we’re doomed for our transgressions; Romans 3:23
but then, He gave us a chance to be reconciliated with Him, by having Salvation through the Sacrifice of Jesus
Christ, then growing spiritually upon the works of righteousness for He is righteous; Ephesians 4:22-24
-Unsearchable
For He is God, and thou Is great and Almighty. Had make the possible out of impossible things, He is limitless.
The term unsearchable is referring to His powers, in which no one could ever know until where is His limits,
because He has none. Unsearchable ends of His capabilities, He can do everything (additionally, He is a good
with no beginning and no end); Job 42: 2, Psalm 90:2. No one could ever comprehend to His extensive might;
Psalm 145:3, Job 11:7
- Good
God is good, He is indeed. Good in many ways; By Him being a Long-Suffering being, and is slow to anger. He
gave patience on our behalf despite the accountability we must face for our transgressions. He gave us a chance
for He is forgiving and had a steadfast love towards us; Micah 7: 18, that He sent His Son to pay for our sins,
despite again, our unworthiness. He gave both mercy and grace to us, which is beyond from the word “good”.
Psalm 86:5. He is faithful in His love towards us, regardless of what mankind did towards Him. But for Him, we
are still alive and is living. For Him being righteous, Compassionate, upright. He is good in everything that He
does; Psalm 119:68.
- Immutable
God is an infinite being, with no beginning nor an end. He neither does change, for he is immutable; Malachi 3:6
By means of saying immutable is when one is unchanging over time or unable to be changed. He is unchangeable
when it comes to His nature, His love for us; He has loved us with an everlasting love; Jerimiah 31:3. The Lord is
same today, yesterday and tomorrow; Hebrews 13:8.
- True
He is the only true, living and eternal God; Jeremiah 10; 10. He is apart from the other gods that we worship,
distinct in a way that only Him was existent among them, and whose power is beyond imagination. One proof to
consider that He is true is when Elisha challenged the priests of Baal of which among them is true, their idol or
God Himself. Which of course, was justified that God is the only one to ever live, and the idol is far from God in
every level basis of any aspects; 1 King 18:38–40. He is also true to His promises, His words, in everything that
He does; 1 Corinthians 1:9. This is why we must never be weary.
-Perfect
In nature, God is perfect in every way. Therefore, we have been separated from Him, because we committed a sin
that caused our departure from Him. For His Mercy and Grace towards us, He had a way of reconciling ourselves
back to Him, that is through His Son, Jesus Christ. The Lord is perfect Himself that He covered us from the wrath
of God that was indebted to. He made us righteous before the Father. Then so Jesus says, be perfect, therefore, as
your Heavenly Father is perfect; Matthew 4:58. This shall be done after we’re born again, ready for the journey of
becoming Christ-Likeness.
-Light
The world was dominated by darkness, in a sense that we manifest our earthly nature of being sinful, and one
slowly neglecting morality for selfishness, desires, etc. We were blinded by those things and remained in this
darkness for too long. But then, the Lord open His hand towards us, for those who accepted and followed Him
became the wielders of His word. God is the greatest light among all, one that is everlasting; Isaiah 60: 9. And we,
His followers are the small sparks that will lead those who are lost, to Him. For in Him, there will be no darkness
at all. 1 John 1:5
Sovereign –
God is the ruler among all of His creations. He made the heavens and the earth, with His outstanding power, for
there is nothing too hard for Him; Jeremiah 32:17 For He is the only God to exist, the only one with abounding
holiness, glory and steadfast love. He is known to be Omnipotent; Luke 1: 37, Omnipresent; Exodus 33:14,
Omniscient; 1 John 3: 20 and all the other attributes that make Him as a distinctive being. By means of being
Sovereign is one having supreme or ultimate power, and God can do anything and is anything that makes a ruler,
we can say that surely, He is indeed Sovereign.
Incorruptible – The Lord is righteous, Psalm 11:7, therefore it implies that He is Incorruptible. Accumulating His
other attributes; His Sovereign nature manifests that He is the only ruler among all, and He doesn’t work for any
other being. Furthermore, His Immutable attribute is the best one to support this feature, He is unchanging;
Malachi 3:6. Thus with this, He can never be morally changed nor be corrupted by any other since He can never
be influenced by temporarily existing forces. Hence, Incorruptible.
Immortal – God is a being that neither has a beginning nor end, for He is eternal, immortal; who alone is immortal
and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever.
Amen. 1 Timothy 6:16e
Consuming Fire – This implies of God’s revelation Himself as unapproachable, a symbol of His holiness.
Furthermore, this Holiness will eliminate those who defied and rejected His will, living among the earthly yoke
that was dwelled with evil. Hebrews 10:26–27, explained God as a “fury of fire”, and this is an indication of His
wrath that was accounted on unbelievers.
None Like Him – The Sovereign Lord did postulate that HE is the only God. And pointing out that He is all-
knowing and true, therefore He’s saying it with validity. Also, His miraculous works that was revealed not only in
the Bible but also in the present times, also indicates there is none like Him. For He is capable of provisioning us
the best there is and created a world without exerting much power. He is a being with definite characteristics, and
surely, we are to say; There is none like Him; Exodus 9:14.
VII.B. Week 4
VII.B.A. Learning Gains
A. What did Lucifer aspire to do that led to his downfall?
As we’ve come to know, Lucifer is an angel. He is described as a prepossessing being, radiant and beautiful;
“You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty”. He’s a being alike with the most precious
gems; “every precious stone adorned you; carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli,
turquoise and beryl”. A distinct angel, as one is appointed as the guardian cherub; “You were anointed as a
guardian cherub, for so I ordained you.” and has been blameless not until wickedness manifested him; Ezekiel
28:11-17. He had everything to start with, but still had the intention of overpowering God despite every privilege
that was given to him. He had iniquity upon having demands; (said to him) You said in your heart, “I will ascend
to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will
make myself like the most high.”; Isaiah 14: 14. He aspired to be at the top, and once emanate himself to be alike
with God; His name meant “morning star” which shows that he’s trying to imitate Jesus Christ, “the bright and
morning star.” Thus, this was the grounds of his downfall, by which God punished him – sending Lucifer to the
depths of the pit.
B. Temptation is Satan’s invitation to give in to his kind of life and give up on God’s kind of life. Why does Satan
want to tempt us?
After Eve took a flavor on the fruit that was forbidden by God to be eaten, it was the beginning of human sin.
Disobedience to God is the grounds of our sinful nature, thus fulfilling what He had said that “You will surely
die”; Genesis 2:17. This is not an indication of physical death but of spiritual death – means of separation of God.
We are now condemned with God’s ravishing wrath, accounted for our sins with the penalty of death; Romans
6:13. Nevertheless, considering God’s steadfast love for us, He’d bestowed us a chance of reconciliation with
Him through His Son; John 3:16. This is a demonstration of His mercy and grace. Grace, by provisioning us His
unconditional love despite our place of unrighteousness before Him. Mercy in the sense of giving us a second
chance of living again through knowing the satisfaction that can only be found through Him. Now, this is what
Satan is against, finding our way back to the Lord after luring us to Sin. Hence the purpose of his temptation
towards us. He’s blinding and restricting us from the opportunity that was offered. Satan is inviting us to be back
involved in his yoke while we are in the process of reuniting with Christ. Therefore, one must be thoroughly
equipped, since recalling what happened to Jesus. He was tempted and managed to be free from it because He
lives with the words of God, which must also apply to us.
C. What three things made Eve decide to eat the fruit and discuss how it became a temptation? Give some
personal experience that happened to you in connection to these temptations.
Eve was roaming around the garden until Satan took her attention. Convincing her to eat the fruit from the tree is
forbidden by God in a way of revising the commands of the Creator; Genesis 2:17. Three considerable things
made Eve took an irrational decision; Her desire for her flesh, desire for her eyes, and her aspiring to be wise as
God out of pride. Furthermore, all of which became a temptation when;
1. Genesis 3; 6 – a. “When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food”. The desire for her flesh
took form into temptation as to the fact that the fruit has its appeal for Eve’s taste. It was good for food and She
ought to savor this for her inclination. Humans are bounded for their hunger and some discerned satisfaction with
it. Therefore, it is not an exception that one may never be tempted by the desires of the flesh. Honestly saying, I
often encounter this challenge especially if the food is a personal favorite. One can’t simply avoid the temptation;
this may end up devouring the whole thing out of the demand of fulfilment. I’m an avid eater (specifically for
sweets) and can surely say that with my desire comes along greediness. That inevitable feeling must never be
manifested. Hence, I am guilty of it.
2. Genesis 3; 6 – b. “pleasing to the eye”. Eve had found it attractive that drove out the temptation. It was
desirable for the eyes, seeing that the fruit was so captivating that it made her consider grasping on the
opportunity of eating it. Humans are also known for that, we are in awe whenever we see things so mesmerizing,
to such extent that we yearned of holding on to them. For my response, one can say the same with phones. Those
little attention-grabbing objects made it hard for us to resist them. People developed bots that would navigate our
interests based on our phone history, and with that, they would keep on recommending the same content that is
out of our delight. Consequently, we never get the chance of doing things right since the screens had shown
appeal to our discernment. In my case, I rejected the word of God because of it. Rather than equipping oneself for
the battle for temptation, I surrendered and involved myself under the earthly yoke. Thus, then again, guilty.
3. Genesis 3; 6 – c. “and also desirable for gaining wisdom”. The serpent had said; by eating the fruit one may
attain the wisdom that God possessed, and luring her more by postulating that the Creator will NOT surely kill
you. With her knowing this, she took the chance. This was the pride of life, becoming a temptation since Eve
wanted to distinguish what is this knowledge and the possibilities that would happen if she had the wisdom of
God. The pride of life can be defined as anything that is “of the world,” meaning anything that leads to arrogance,
ostentation, pride in self, presumption, and boasting (@gotquestions). In Eve’s state, she would acquire the
knowledge of good and evil, thus assuming that she would be like God. In my case, I did not dream to be like
God, yet I was always determined to be the best among all, in all aspects. One didn’t regard it as pride, until the
latter part. I was filled with guilt, knowing about it. By choice, I must be aspiring to be a follower of the Lord and
not of the unearthly things that would only elevate my pleasure in the meantime.
Therefore, as a Christian, one must be thoroughly equipped with the words of God. To resist the temptations
offered by the devil. If Jesus managed to escape from this, we can do so too. He used the words of the Father, and
so must we. Because “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the
mouth of God.’”; Matthew 4:4
D. Make a personal prayer of commitment to do what is right and choose to honor God and write some of the
things you prayed for.
In the prayer of commitment upon choosing to honor God and doing righteous deeds; Firstly, I took the chance of
thanking Him for His steadfast love that made His provisioning possible. For blessing me continuously each day,
despite the unworthiness. For His unfailing grace and mercy, for everything that He’d done. Furthermore, asking
for the transgressions I’ve unceasingly committed. Next, I came to His presence, asking Him a few things;
Helping me on doing what is right and choosing to honor Him. He knew both my heart and mind were rigid, I
asked if somehow, He can help me diminish its attribute. One does know that by Honoring Him and choosing to
do the honorable deeds, change must take place - By fully surrendering to Him. Yet until now, I have this internal
force that’s pulling me away from that alteration. Thus, I am slowly losing hope of regaining the obedient nature I
had when I was a kid. A young girl that was responsive to the Lord, grew up rebellious. It was hard for me to
reminisce all of it when this is the time to take the Lord seriously. Then again, asking Him for support. I would no
longer elaborate on the content of my prayer since some are more of a personal matter. That’s all that I can say.
VII.C. Week 5
VII.C.A. Learning Gains
A. Why do we need Satan-Conqueror? Explain.
With this query, there are two things that we must regard in need of a Satan - Conqueror; 1. We have sinned. 2.
With sin or disobedience comes along penalty – death. 1. After Eve was persuaded to eat the fruit, she shared
some with Adam. God gave them a clear instruction of neither touching or eating from the tree of the knowledge
of good and evil. Thus, this is an indication of disobedience against the law – the act of transgression. This was
the beginning of sin, and both Adam and Eve were opened in a whole new perception – knowing that they were
naked was the manifestation of the loss of their innocence. Covering themselves with fig leaves, hiding from God
when He appeared in their presence – they are proven guilty. 2. We know that God is a Just God; Psalm 89:14 so
they suffered the consequences for their committed misdemeanor. Romans 6: 23 stated that: “For the wages of sin
is death – God already hinted this at the beginning when He commanded Adam and Eve; Genesis 2: 17 “for when
you eat from it you will certainly die” (the law “not to eat the fruit from the tree” and the punishment for the
disobedience of law “you will surely die”). Therefore, the punishment for disobedience is death. The ones that
took place in the state of Adam and Eve were Spiritual death and not Physical. Which was the separation of men
from God. We can’t assuredly confirm what God meant by Spiritual death for the type of “death” that He would
bound for misconduct. However, it was the first grace He’d offer to us, even though Spiritual death is unpleasant
yet they didn’t immediately die and still managed to live for years. Consequently, generations of Adam suffered
from the sin that was continuously passed from one to another. Therefore, God had promised; “And I will put
enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will
strike his heel.” Genesis 3: 15. In this circumstance, He was talking to the serpent that was originally the devil and
promising an offspring of the woman that would defeat him. This is Jesus Christ, that would deliberately defeat all
evil and would save us from the wrath accounted to us by the Father. We are in need of a Satan Conqueror.
B. Did Adam and Eve understand immediately how awful the consequences of their sin were? Why?
Adam and Eve became aware of how dreadful the consequences; First and foremost, after they’ve disobeyed the
command of God, they were opened on discernment of knowing good and bad, and was fully aware of their
nakedness. Sewing fig leaves to utilize as their temporary covering, was more than just to wrap their bodies since
it was already an indication of their guilt, trying to hide from God. This guilt had developed their timid behavior
when God consulted them, conscious of their transgression; “I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid
because I was naked; and I hid myself” Genesis 3: 10 At this point they’ve also feared the Lord in a negative way
for the fact that they are unaware of what He might do in response to their shameful acts. Furthermore, the guilt
that they’ve manifested and the fear that they’ve established was already the indication of knowing how awful the
consequences of their wrongdoings were. As the Creator had said; Genesis 2: 17 “for when you eat from it you
will certainly die”. And since they’ve violated the law that God gave them, thus, they were sensible that there’s
“death” accounted to them. Moreover, by God’s grace, they were still permitted to live years after the incident.
Genesis 3:22, God had sent them out, considering Adam and Eve are mindful of what’s good and evil. They must
not be permitted to eat the tree of life or they will live eternally, carrying the sinful nature. After Adam and Eve
were sent outside the garden, comes other consequences. Genesis 3: 16-17; “I will increase your trouble in
pregnancy and your pain in giving birth.”, “You will have to work hard all your life to make it produce enough
food for you.” Both of which are additional consequences, and hence were not able to live a tranquil life. In the
succeeding generations, they’ve come to an awareness of the consequence of sin, for they have endured both
spiritual and physical death. Adam and Eve have lost the peace of mind and harmony of the relationship that
characterized their earlier lives. Their relationship before the fall is presented as true love. God’s connection with
them was gone, thus it was the most painful consequence.
C. Can you blame someone of your choices and actions? Why not?
Rationally speaking and out of moral, it is not right to give someone the account for your own choices or actions.
You have done it out of your will and not of theirs, there’s no way for that reason on why we must blame
someone of our own doing. Relating it to Adam and Eve’s state; Eve had the choice to either eat the fruit or not,
but was tempted by the devil and fell for doing what she’s not supposed to do. It was an irrational choice for Eve.
She had no reason to blame the serpent for she had her own choice to make, the serpent only lured her to it, yet
never controlled her to do it since it never had Eve’s will. Same as with Adam, he had an opportunity of choosing
his course of action, yet was still convinced to eat. Adam blamed Eve, she blamed the serpent, because both of
them knew what the punishment would be and therefore would not condemn themselves for their actions. In
Jesus’s state of temptation, when the devil persuaded Him, He also had His will. Nevertheless, He didn’t end up
like Adam and Eve since He choose to fight against it. And so, broke free from it. The rationale of blaming
someone for their own doing is to the fact that they didn’t want to take responsibility and had his/her option on
accounting it to others. For them to not be bounded by the consequences. Just as Adam and Eve. The right thing to
do is to have our submission for our doings, not blaming it to others that may as much, not aware of what’s
happening or either the ones that convinced us. God gave each of us a will of choosing, and it must be us that
would take responsibility for our own choices.
D. Why do you think God did not accept the fig leaves that Adam and Eve made to clothe themselves?
When Adam and Eve committed sin, they covered themselves upon knowing that they were naked; Genesis 3: 7
“As soon as they had eaten it, they were given understanding and realized that they were naked; so, they sewed fig
leaves together and covered themselves.” God called out to them and had shown their reserved state in response.
Before they were sent out of the garden, God made clothing out of animal skin for them to use; “And the Lord
God made clothes out of animal skins for Adam and his wife, and he clothed them” Genesis 3: 21. Fig leaves for
covering can only be resistant in a shorter time span, whereas animal skin is more durable and can last for a longer
time. The reason why God did not accept fig leaves as clothing is the fact that He is mindful that both Adam and
Eve were aware of their nakedness. They’ve broken out their innocence, thus they must use substantial coverings.
Since their awareness would last for long periods, and so must their clothing.
E. Share some restrictions that are placed on you as a child that are good for you.
As a child, I’ve had numerous restrictions since my parents were mindful that I was a fragile kid, hospitals were a
thing in my case, plus I’m the only child at that time. Enumerating a few of these restrictions;
1. I’m not allowed to try any frozen beverage that uses ice from the local ice seller on the market. This was due to
my diagnosis of amoeba. I used to visit my grandparents a few times, it was from the water that they use that
started everything. I was unaware at that time, maybe I’ve drunk a few bathing glasses of water. During one night
I had stomach aches, fever and diarrhea. Was administered to the hospital, got a few tests and they knew that it
was the amoeba. Surely the first restriction was for my good, and in the present state, it was my little brother’s
restriction too. He also had amoeba and was hence not allowed to consume any local water.
2. Eating sweets. A prominent restriction among children. My teeth were meticulously checked by the dentist;
thus, sweets should be rarely served on the menu. Additionally, in my mother’s generation line, diabetes was
common that until now, I still try to apply this prohibition.
3. I’m not allowed to play in the rain. As I’ve said, I’m fragile and is known for low resistance to any bacteria out
there due to my incapacitated immune system. With fever, I was immediately sent to the hospital since I would
not eat any food in that situation. So, I end up growing, being oblivious of what would it feel like to run and dance
under the gloomy skies of the rain. Furthermore, those were the restrictions that I’ve had as a child, considering
what I can vividly remember.
F. Describe what you will say to God if He wants you to give an account of your life.
To stipulate what would I say to God if He wanted me to take account for my own life; Comprehending the
statement, if one would take account of his/her life, that can mean one could be bounded of the responsibility to
whatever may happen to him/her or be solely in control of his/her wholeness. With that uncertainty I would be
elaborating two sides of these understandings; If taking account of whatever waits for me, then I would not
complain. God had given me my own free will and choice, just as Eve, assumingly, one will be irrational to select
an option that would only deliver her demise. And with God saying to take account for my life, to what has been
done, then there’s no reason for me to blame others since it was my course of action. One would only say sorry
for the transgressions she had committed but shall no longer ask for chances nor mercy. He is a Just and Holy
God, the regretful behavior that I can manifest will no longer drive the steadfast love that He’d provided me all
these years because it was me who rejected Him in the first place. With the second understanding, if saying that
taking account of my life meant wholly controlling it myself, I would plead Him to be in control of my life. The
world is a detrimental place, it is continuously offering temporary happiness, thus ending up in searching for more
satisfaction. I am tired of that; therefore, I want Him to take over the wheel of my will, let His will be done. Yet
one is still made of a rigid heart and is unwilling to change. I don’t know what to do, which is why I would plead
with Him more. If none can be done, then the only thing for me to wait is for the wrath that was purposedly
bounded for the one that who had rejected to accept the Lord.
| VIIII. ICT |
VIV.A. Week 1
VIV.A.A. Evaluation
A. Cite common types of BPO where ICT is applied.
ITES or known as Information Technology Enabled Services: It entails a variety of procedures that make use of
Internet technology to improve the quality of help and workability for the company. Technical Support, Service
Desk Analysis, and Production Support Analysis are among the provision of services.
KPO or Knowledge Processing Outsourcing: This is based on the personnel's knowledge, expertise, and
judgment. Resources providers are recruited to give advanced expertise in relation to a specific business
procedure. Business analysis, technological analysis, research and development, and financial consulting services
are all part of this skill.
LPO or Legal Process Outsourcing: service providers hire experienced paralegals to work on complex tasks such
as Drafting patent applications, creating legal agreements, Performing legal research.
RPO or Research Process Outsourcing. It comprises an employer delegating the task of locating potential
employees to a third-party service provider. It's most commonly utilized by data-driven enterprises like marketing
firms, investment firms, and pharmaceutical companies. Data Analytics and Investment Research are samples of
jobs that service providers may work on. Market research, both primary and secondary.
Moreover, these are some of the common types of BPO where ICT is applied for the services offered in their
affiliation. Source: https://biz30.timedoctor.com/bpo-services/#different-types
B. How does ICT affect your daily life?
As a recall of its definition, it is the provision to access information through telecommunication. Now when it
comes to affecting my daily life; as a student who’s under the newly proposed learning system, “blended
learning”. I can verify that I was involved in ICT since every day, even home-based learning, accessing to the
internet is needed in order to connect to my peers and my instructor as well. It has very well affected me in a way
that it helped me participate and communicate with everybody through telecommunication. Things were made
easier in associating despite the present events.
C. What do you think is one of the reasons to outsource is to “Tap a world-class client?” Explain.
With ICT, Outsourcing was made possible and has impacted a huge growth among the ICT related jobs. It has
been progressively trending since there are good reasons to engage in this field that we should contemplate. So,
considering why one of the reasons for outsourcing is to “Tap a world-class client?”, the affiliations overseas are
further looking for some servicing that cost a reasonable price but would also carry out a certain function
efficiently. Because of currency differences between the client and the Outsourcing country, it may be so that both
are at a fair price. One affords a service and one makes a huge difference with the currency exchange rate. Not to
mention, it really has the best engagement in business.
VIV.A.B. Learning Gains
A. What have you learned in this lesson?
Quite a lot, most of the notions in this week’s lesson are fresh conceptualizations. Two things to highlight in this
regard are; ICT and Outsourcing. ICT, to what I perceived, it’s a dichotomy between technology and
telecommunications that is far used for accessibility, the transmission of data and sourcing for a various resource
which then connects to Outsourcing. This, on the other hand, is when a certain affiliation or company looks for
means that will help them gradually in their business. In particular, is entrusting certain responsibilities, projects
to the source where they’ll be paid accordingly for their service. This is known to spare quite some money for
most companies and as well to gaining access to world-class clients. Outsourcing is one of those arrangements
that involve ICT that I’ve learned from this lesson.
B. What are the top 3 strengths in yourself and how would you apply this strength in the world of ICT.
I do consider Accommodation, Determination and Confidence as my strengths that would be well-suited in the
world of ICT. As an individual, though a bit reserved, is always ready to initiate accommodation to my peers.
Though they’re not clients, they can be a quintessential one. With this, maybe I can use it as a practice and
evaluate myself if I’m obliging and surely, I can apply this in the world of ICT when it’s the real thing I’m
looking forward to. Determination, I consider being one of the useful strengths that are applicable in the ICT field.
Assuredly, anyone must be determined in their job to succeed because they are thriving for success. This is not
pertinent to ICT, but to other aspects as well if others may be endeavoring for triumph. Lastly, Confidence. I’m
still developing it however this is also helpful when it’s being pertained to. Since Outsourcing is in the world of
ICT, therefore negotiations are involved. And one can’t undertake talks when one is without confidence. Those
are my strengths and their possible applications if involved in the world of ICT.
C. Do you like the verse of the week? What can you say about it?
As for this week’s verse which is James 1: 27; Pure and Undefiled religion before God is this: to visit orphans and
widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. I very much well-liked it and indeed it was
a reminder for me as a Christian. The things I can say about it is that it is indeed true that many postulated
themselves to be under God yet it is not seen in their actions. Which is one of the saddest realities that I became
well-aware of. The orphans and widows, we base their definition not on their word but their symbolic meaning.
The verse is trying to utter that we help those lost people and guide them out from the darkness. “Visit troubled
orphans and widows”. Since the purpose endowed to us is the deliverance of God’s love and His acts of love
towards aplenty. Alongside guidance to the Greatest light of all, whereas we are those small sparks of light
showing that way among the labyrinth. And also, to keep on preserving ourselves from the temptations manifested
in this world. It is indeed a challenge when we are trying to practice our Spirituality when our vicinities are not
doing the same thing. So technically speaking, it is prompt for me. Moreover, that’s all that I can say about this.
VIV.A.C. Performance Task
Unknowingly, ICT has brought a great benefit to our society as we thrive for excellence. It may be starting from
an individual connecting to a another and towards aplenty. Mankind’s developed technologies have helped them
associate with one another, the internet, that is an extensive in notion, is an invisible force that has accessed
among millions and billions of people. It led to the generation of Internet and Communication Technology, with
web-based applications which were widely used for telecommunications. It provoked every person’s sense of
interconnectivity with each other, as they convey their conceptualizations and information. They’ve established
networking, where everyone is among the interrelatedness. As seen in the illustration; It begins with one, then
with one or two linking with one, it may be peers or with ones of different level. With that coalition and
divergence, they form an intact society with the foundation of ICT’s correspondence as they establish and
endeavor better innovations, opportunities for a better future.
VIV.B. Week 2
VIV.B.A. Activity No. 6
a. What is a folksonomy in web 2.0
The term was coined by Thomas Vander Wal in 2004. Folksonomy in web 2.0 involves classifying data and
digital content. In a way that it processes using digital content tags for categorization or annotation. It allows users
to classify websites, pictures, documents and other forms of data so that content may be easily categorized and
located by users. may be broad or narrow. Broad folksonomy provides a wealth of related content data and tags,
whereas narrow folksonomy information is limited. For folksonomy, it’s the users who add a tag or label to
identify a piece of content. The content gets a lot of descriptive information using natural language from the users
themselves. And its difference with taxonomy, its way of describing crowd-driven categorization of information
whereas taxonomy is a formal, hierarchical method of classification. A prominent example of where folksonomy
is highly implemented is the Social Media Platforms.
b. In your own words, why you need to be familiar with the evolution of World Wide Web?
The familiarity with the evolution of the World Wide Web is a very significant thing. As we are approaching a
new era, Humans in nature proposes fresh conceptualizations that seek innovation. One must be aware of the
evolution of the World Wide Web so that we may be able to determine what are the points improved, what was
lacking and be able to form feedbacks on those needs to improvise and make things better. From the first
generation of the Web, (version 1.0) to the proceeding versions, they were enhanced and problems were founded
with solutions. The 1.0 variety were all information and has no capability of conducting an interaction with the
user to user. Simply words, and flat designs of Html. Yet people extemporized and decided to manipulate the
system’s tedious attributes. Folksonomy was then implemented, enhancing the possibility of social
interconnection and the organization of various information found on the web-based on their classification. From
here, we can learn that in all things, there’s always room for improvement.
c. Based on the videos you watched, which versions of web gets you interested? Why?
Based on the videos that I’ve watched, the version that really took my attention and interest is the latest one, Web
3.0. Even I may have some doubts on its notions but I’ll further elaborate in the simplest way; the
conceptualization on this version is the presence of Artificial Intelligence and of it being a Semantic Web. Just for
my opinion, it somehow made the networking system alive, due to the fact that they have the ability of tracking
down the user’s actions and performance. One of the best examples here are the recommendations, the web knew
what were your interests in order to offer you some more of those for user satisfaction. The database was more
complex yet structured, tagged, that the computers can read and scrutinize them. More or less, their graphics were
also refined. But now my only concern here is that this might be threatening. As to what they are capable of, they
have the opportunity to control by means of manipulating us which can lead to privacy or security breach of any
hidden preferences and might be using it against us. Though uncertain, that is my case. That’s all.
ICT: WEEK 2: THE EVOLUTION OF WWW | Activity No. 5 | Table 4.1
Facebook – the most prominent social media platform has its attributes determined as dynamic. Dynamic in a
sense that it is an interactive type of site wherein media are added from a user, and a peer may be able to comment
down in the provided area. These posts can be edited by the owner and one can do interactions in Facebook’s chat
area called messenger, where most of the user-to-user interaction takes place.
Instagram – the user is able to share photos and videos via story or feed post. Just like Facebook, one can have
interaction, between users to aplenty of users which makes it a dynamic website. There’s also a recommendation
post is called “explore” whose contents may vary depending on the user action.
Twitter – Also a very prominent social media platform. This is dynamic since one may be able to reply to a post,
or so-called a “tweet”. The existence of tags also gives its users the convenience of finding a particular content
based on the title of the tag. Hence this website is dynamic.
Gmail – By definition of a dynamic website, one can perform an interaction between user-to-user. Gmail involves
sending messages, files, professionally. So, by sending, we have the receiver of the message. And therefore, we
can stipulate that this is a dynamic website because interactivity took place once the user sends and another user
receives.
Google - It is certainly a dynamic website, for its features such as the ability to list the connected pages as you
search in the search box, depending on the most visited or the most popular. Not to mention, the ability to change
the language preference based on which country the user is from. Additionally, the ability to detect the user’s
search and history, the photos section, whereby clicking one can connect to another that is similar to the chosen
photo, and the potential of representing some content on the recommendations based on the user’s actions.
Yahoo – Yahoo is dynamic in the sense that it provides many features such as mails, news and many other
features. It is an interactive application where it can provide recommendations just as the search engines like
google, which is based on the users’ actions.
Wikipedia – One may say that for its appearance and to the fact that it is more on informative websites, it is a
static website. But actually, it’s not. Static webpages are delivered to the end-user with the data stored previously
and should be changed only by going through the code or by changing the data in the source manually. So,
Wikipedia is not a static website, they are based on user queries. The pages in Wikipedia are dynamic.
Amazon – the websites are personalized based on the user’s preference and activity log. For each visitor's
experience, based on their history on the website. As a result, when a user provides more feedback and reviews,
his or her next experiences are better targeted. Therefore, it is dynamic.
Netflix – Same as with the others, the content of the viewer or the user’s feed is dependent on the users’ activity.
The recommendation feed, depending on the previously watched video, or activity log for the website to offer
more content on the user’s preferences.
Pinterest – It is an online gallery of pictures that changes its preference based on the user’s activity. The content
you see on Pinterest is not static. It changes as you scroll or when you reload the page or when you click on other
tabs. Therefore, it is a dynamic website.
Static Websites are quite hard to find, dynamic websites are the ones dominating in most of the internet’s content.
The only ones left are static website developer such as Jekyll, Hexi, Hugo.
VIV.B.C. Learning Gains
a. Among the three Development discussed, which of those best describe your personality that you believe can be
implemented to your personal life?
Giving regard to the three Developments discussed, based on my assumption, I would believe the one that best
describes my personality is the first variation. To connect the dots, my personality isn’t much of an interesting
thing that anyone else would consider as fun and enjoyable. I am static, not postulating that I’m smart because the
First generation gives off information, but it’s the limitations that I have. One is not simply capable of doing
everything to meet up the standards of the people she lives among. Just as the characteristic of version 1.0, I
cannot offer satisfactory services in terms of interaction. Speaking of which, I didn’t have any interactions or
social communications (unless necessary), it is not well-supported in my vocabulary. Therefore, we can now say
that the first development did match up with my attributes. But just as the Web 1.0, there’s always room for
improvement, a time for development. This I believe, can be implemented in my personal life as I continue my
journey. Static can be dynamic; one can be flexible and can interact with others. Basics can be a complex thing; it
is just a matter of right ways and pacing. This as one of the bases of my life motivation, It’s my evolution. Yet we
must also remember, that things don’t go exactly as the way they were planned. Machines do mistakes too, “trial
and error” to what it is. But at a certain time, one may blossom successfully, ready for another development.
b. Do you like the verse of the week? What can you say about it?
The verse for this week is Romans 12: 18; If possible, you must live peaceably with all. As a Christian, conflicts
come rushing in, it is inevitable. Once a person chooses to seek a life that is centered on Christ, the world will be a
detrimental place for them. A Christian stands out of His faith and does proclaim the word of God, however not
all is adhering to it. Due to human sin, we are divided from Sovereignty and with that, we were given a chance
and a choice of reconciling back yet others had their own choice. They had their stand, and others may grow in
tyranny that whatever contradicts their believed notion, they persecute them, oppress them. And Christians are in
the highlight of this matter. The verse did say we must live in peace, does that mean we need to be among their
yoke and reject ours just for harmony? No. This won’t solve any conflict at all, “Living at peace with others
without holiness is nothing”. We are to hate what is wrong, must be against it. What the verse meant with peace is
the brotherly love that we must offer to one another. Honestly speaking, peace is hard to attain in a chaotic world.
I like the verse for the sense that it keeps on telling us, that we must aspire to peace. It is indeed a reminder for
me. One is having a hard time with everything that is around her. I yearned for it, but never took a chance to make
it happen. Because as perceived, it is a thing that is testing to achieve. Though impossible, yet we must remember
that there’s nothing too hard for our Creator.
VIV.B.D. Video Framework Content
Evolution of the World Wide Web
What is the worldwide web?
Tim Berners-Lee, a British scientist, invented the World Wide Web (WWW) in 1989 while working at CERN.
is most often referred to simply as "the Web."
It is an interconnected system of public web pages accessible through the Internet
the leading information retrieval service of the Internet. It gives users access to a vast array of documents that are
connected utilizing hypertext or hypermedia links or hyperlinks, electronic connections that link related pieces of
information to allow a user easy access to them.
The Web operates within the Internet’s basic client-server format; servers are computer programs that store and
transmit documents to other computers on the network when asked to, while clients are programs that request
documents from a server as the user asks for them. Browser software allows users to view the retrieved
documents.
It is all the Web pages, pictures, videos and other online content that can be accessed via a Web browser.
The Three Varieties of Development
The worldwide web has its roots started with Web 1.0
It is the earliest version of the Internet, The first generation of the World Wide Web. Also known as the read-only
web, that was not interactive in any significant sense.
It is characterized as mostly composed of web pages joined by hyperlinks, without the additional visuals, controls
and forms that we see when we log on today. Most commonly regarded for its static features.
Its attempt to be regarded caused a significant incompatibility problem within websites.
Personal web pages were common, consisting mainly of static pages hosted on ISP-run web servers, or free web
hosting services such as Tripod and defunct GeoCities
Web 1.0 enables to showcase of the piece of information on the websites. It can be used as a personal website. It
costs the user as per pages viewed. It has directories that enable the user to retrieve a particular piece of
information.
The contents are more on information and are not capable of performing any user-to-user interaction.
With that, Web 2.0 was then later developed
The term Web 2.0 did not resurface until 2002
It describes the current state of the web, which has more user-generated content and usability for end-users
compared to its earlier incarnation, Web 1.0.
it became common for average web users to have social-networking profiles and personal blogs through either a
low-cost web hosting service or through a dedicated host. In general, the content was generated dynamically,
allowing readers to comment directly on pages in a way that was not common previously.
Some Web 2.0 capabilities were present in the days of Web 1.0, a Web 1.0 site may have had a guestbook page
for visitor comments, instead of a comment section at the end of each page (typical of Web 2.0)
Terry Flew, in his third edition of New Media, described the differences between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 as a move
from personal websites to blogs and blog site aggregation, from publishing to participation, from web content as
the outcome of large up-front investment to an ongoing and interactive process, and from content management
systems to links based on "tagging" website content using keywords hence, the famous feature of Web 2.0 -
Folksonomy.
According to Best, the characteristics of Web 2.0 are rich user experience, user participation, dynamic content,
metadata, Web standards, and scalability. Further characteristics, such as openness, freedom, and collective
intelligence by way of user participation, can also be viewed as essential attributes of Web 2.0.
Web 3.0 is also known as the “Semantic web”.
With Web 3.0, the information will be connected due to semantic metadata. Thus, user experience evolves at
another connectivity level that leverages available information. Compared to Web version 2.0
Berners-Lee coined the term to describe a web in which machines would process content in a humanlike way.
The purpose is to make the web readable by machines and not only by humans.
It includes several technologies to arrange and structure data you can find on the internet to make it available and
usable by programs and software thanks to a metadata system.
Succeeding the evolution of the Web involves Semantic Web. This semantic web improves web technologies to
create, connect and share content through the search and the analysis based on the capability of comprehending
the meaning of the words, instead of on the keywords and numbers.
The core benefit is that anyone will have access to a huge amount of structured data using the software. No need
to dig in for hours on the web, on different websites to get valuable information. It will also provide (if well
structured) to the “Deep web”. Most of the time, a Google search provides access to the “Surface Web” (most
common sites with a good Page Rank), but a lot of interesting information lies under the surface.
The world wide web had undergone series of continuous development, from Owning Content, Sharing Content
and Consolidating Content. With Directories, Web Forms to Tagging, Web Applications then User Behavior,
Smart Applications.
Now for the precedented stage, what has Web 4.0 had to offer?

VIV.C.A. Activity No.6
a. What do you think will happen to PWDs if assistive media are not discovered?
Society nowadays is dependent on the present technologies. Most of the contents – regarding the political,
scientific, entertainment aspects are being presented on the interactive platforms. Or it may be that the world is
now driven by the technological mechanism as we are approaching innovations. Thinking the scenario of what
will happen if assistive media was not in provision for the PWDs, then they couldn’t get along with the flow of
the community. It is a necessity because it assists disabled people for to break down the barrier of not being able
to do what they want to do because of their condition. Assistive media is channeling the opportunities of them
building their potentials and what new things that they can try. It helps them in numerous ways, if its presence
was not discerned then PWDs will have limitations instead of capabilities.
b. Does trends in ICT are visible in our society? If yes, how can you give importance?
Considering the presence of Gadgets; yes, trends are indeed visible in our society. Its circulating with our day to
day lives, from easily discerned type of technology; phones, laptops, computers. Into processors, operators,
internet -connectivity of networks, the world wide web. More likely applicable when doing business transactions;
the requirement of emails, scholastic activities; LMS, the socials of the society; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
One can give importance to it through interactively using it. Or thus it may be preserving its foundations, through
continuously scrutinizing it of what areas must be improved. So that its survival may still be possible.
c. Why mobile operating system is useful in gadgets or electronic devices?
They are useful since they are the ones responsible for the dynamic attribute of any device or gadget. And is also
the reason why your device is working well as to your demands. It is Dynamic in the sense that it allows multiple
tasks to be done by the user. Though the CPU may be the brain of any device, the Operating System is the one
that manages it, along with other resources; connectivity-networks, files - storage. From the word itself, its sole
purpose is to properly allocate the needed resources, utilizing the system of a device in order for it to be
potentially used, avoiding any conflicts that may cause interference. It observes proper management in the gadget,
involving its securities and any minor problems to be regarded and fixed before further major casualties occur.

a. How can you handle community problems with your leadership through Trends in ICT
Handling community problems through Trends in ICT is one way to fully engage myself in helping them as a
student. I may not be able to fully expose myself in resolving the contemporary issue, giving consideration to the
pandemic today, options are still available. One of which is getting myself involved in the Social Media
Platforms, Blogs and forums. Not assuredly saying that I am an avid writer, but one can deliver out the problem to
the Networking Platform so that many others will be discerned. These networking sites are extensive in
complexity, yet they are very agile. Posting a blog about a certain topic, a viewer comes then shares it with plenty
of users. Web-traffic; it’s the no. of users visiting your page – if many will be able to discover your content about
an issue, that’s how huge engagement is being generated. Then again, writing an article about the issue is one way
to help solve a community problem, with networking of huge engagements that will eventually drive
convergence.
b. What is the implication of Memory Verse in your life?
Explanation: Matthew 5: 16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and
glorify your Father in Heaven”.
God is Holy, which is emphasized in the Bible numerous times. He manifests this Holiness, alongside His Glory
and impeccable nature through light. He is the light; 1 John 1: 15. The world as it is is dwelled by darkness, which
is the quintessential evil nature of mankind. God bestow us an opportunity of reconciliation through His Son
because He is gracious. After the Ascension of Jesus, we now have the Bible. One has a choice; either accepting
Salvation or rejecting it. Christians accepted this opportunity through faith, and the fruits of this faith are good
works. Through practicing the ways of Christ-likeness, we are also able to manifest the attributes of God, hence
being holy through our good works. And just like Him, we are also considered as light. “Small Sparks of Light”.
For the implication of the verse of the week, I can practice being a good example to others. Enacting every
Scripture that I meditate. With this, I might be able to “shine” and also inspire others in doing so. Furthermore,
take part in the commission that God has given us. So that we may help those who are in need, and guide to the
same path that has brought us to the greatest light of all that must shine above all; Psalm 94:1

VIV.D.A. Activity No.6
a. Based on the lesson, cite a common authentication process to secure your privacy or confidential information
and explain elaborately.
In securing privacy and confidential information, one should be mindful of the content he/she shares in the online
platform and be aware of the potential viewers of the content. Not all things are needed to post on social media
since these might be used by hackers, to prove that they’re legitimate upon doing their true intent/course of action.
Hence, this implies that we must only add “friends” that we’re familiar with in real life and not accept any
malicious accounts of strangers.
Assessing the privacy policies of the platform you’re using is a must, for one to be able to manage the information
you share on your account. Frankly, getting victimized by hackers is still inevitable because they have their ways
of access through websites - even in incognito or private mode”. They are capable of disguising themselves as an
authorized, trustworthy forum/source, thus terms and conditions must always be regarded.
It is important to read before you get yourself involved, and try to minimize exposing your personal information
once they ask for verification/sign-up on their page. Be heedful of checking the site’s credibility by scrutinizing
their information, and any malicious pop-up emails presented must be avoided.
When it comes to the internet, try to refrain from using provided wi-fi in public areas. As to the fact that hackers
can also use an unsecured Wi-Fi connection to distribute malware. If you allow file-sharing across a network, the
hacker can easily plant infected software on your computer. And if you have your Wi-Fi, make It a private
network by adding a password.
b. What is the exact date of Love Bug created by two Filipino students.
I Love You Virus or also known as Love Bug or love letter – caused an extensive casualty among 10 million
windows personal computer by causing computer shutdown and deletion of files. It is a computer worm created
by two Filipino students, namely; Onel De Guzman and Reonel Ramones that were undergraduates at AMA
Computer College. The worm created has its way of infecting other computers through email messages with the
subject line "ILOVEYOU" and the attachment "LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU. TXT. It started spreading around
May 4-5 2000, not only affecting Manila but has outreached a worldwide scale.
c. What are the first three countries attacked by “I Love You Virus?”
According to @Wikepedia, the virus originated at the Pandacan neighborhood of Manila in the Philippines. Was
then again, created by Onel De Guzman. He struggled with poverty and is unable to pay access in the internet.
With this, He created a computer worm that would steal other users’ passwords – technically based on his
undergraduate thesis at AMA Computer College. It was only intended to be launched at the vicinity of Manila,
whereas he accidentally removed the geographic restrictions. Thereafter following daybreak westward across the
world as employees began their workday that Friday morning, the worm has its first target - Hong Kong, then
spreading across Europe, until it finally reached United States.
d What do you think is the most threats that you should avoid to happen in your computer? Why?
Things that are hazardous for my computer that must be avidly avoided are malware – viruses, computer bugs,
spams and adware (Even though all of the malware must refrain, but the following are the most commonly
encountered examples of potential risks). Viruses, not only they are capable of stealing information/identity theft,
but also of inflicting damage to your system. It may be the deletion of significant/hidden files or disrupting the
mechanism of the computer that may result in computer shutdown (e.g., “I love you Virus”). They are uneasily
determined because they have the potential to disguise themselves as conventional files. Same as with Adware,
applicable with websites, which are false advertising and can lead you to malicious pages. With your access to
their page, they can extract any information about you and use it for their acts. Using your profile to provide a
reliable discernment to their target affiliations or people. Avoiding such threats will establish one’s security and
reliability to their system.
e. Differentiate Internet scam from Internet Bot.
The difference between Internet Scams from Internet bots – the malicious bots are operated on making these
internet scams. It’s between the tool and product, and that’s the difference. Internet Bots can either be a good or a
bad bot. Bots are software applications that are made for the sole purpose of managing automated tasks on the
internet – operates repetitive actions such as automated script fetches, analyzes information from web servers
(e.g., It may be through search engines, operated by a bot called “Web crawler” that systematically browses the
WWW for their operation of web indexing.) The bad bots, a.k.a. Malicious Bots, are USED to commit click fraud
whereas Internet Scams are the deceptions; through presenting oneself as a credible source yet leading to a
malicious page that could potentially trick victims out of money, property and inheritance.

a. How do you reflect the lesson for today in your Life as an associate ICT student? Does it give you an idea on
what information would you give or deal with the INTERNET in terms of safety and security?
From what I’ve learned today from this lesson; I was presented with significant insights that one must consider on
my involvement with the internet. The internet isn’t a place to fully expose oneself, a few folks managed to
manipulate the networking system for the use of their intent. Thus, they persuade people on clicking their content
and by doing so, gave them the opportunity of accessing the users’ profiles and information – using it for their
proof of legitimateness and credibility to their targeted audience. Admitting that I wasn’t mindful at this case; was
not aware of the terms and conditions of every site that I accessed and didn’t consider the ability of potential
hazards that may affect not only the system of my gadget but also my dignity as an individual. The malware was
not so much of a threat to me before. Admitting that once I had access to the public internet, I often encounter
malicious websites, thus my phone is giving me a warning of malware. My USB once delivered a trojan virus,
going undercover as a file named; “Trojan”, which didn’t bother me at all. Regarding those encounters, we can
see that ensuring (Internet) Security and Safety is a must. Thus, the lessons presented gave me ideas on what to do
or not to do, and gave me an awareness of the Internet’s competence in getting myself involved in cybercriminals’
schemes.
b. If given a chance to be a White Hat or a Good Hacker, how would you help the government in facing COVID-
19 by applying your expertise in the field of digital technology? Explain.
I’m not much aware of any technological ways, therefore I might be presenting only a few methodologies on how
to help the government in facing COVID-19. If such expertise would be given to me, I would help them in contact
tracing since I assume the government is having a hard time with that. If one is a skilled hacker, then I can
potentially track down people and gain access to their information. Maybe I could even provide a geographical
tracking of their current location. That way, the medical team would take immediate action without the pain of
navigating Virus carriers. Establishing online funding would be a great idea too, though it’s not what usual
hackers would commonly do. But one could gradually increase web traffic through advertising – instead of fraud
content, it would be fundraising advocacy (presenting myself as a “concerned citizen”, providing the page with
supporting information for credibility points and not for fraud content). thus, many will be able to discern the
propaganda and would donate to the COVID patients. That way, the government will no longer need to establish
funding and could use their money for other pressing issues – focusing on the medical workers and their demands
for PPE equipment and raise of salary to justify their hard work for the well-being of the community. I could also
accumulate online jobs for other people in the stress of their joblessness. Online Jobs are the trends nowadays, and
individuals could do simple things that are capable of monetizing revenue. By presenting these, maybe it could
lessen unemployment and the government won’t need to give helping funds to other people.

Slide 1 | Tips on How to stay safe online
Slide 2 | The present society has been associated with the world’s biggest networking connectivity – the
internet. It is a complex, dynamic setting wherein there’s an exchange of information towards
aplenty of users.
Slide 3 | Molding our minds with the discerned perception being shared. Though with the fact that it’s the
whereabouts of our entertainment, development, and convenience, it’s a dangerous place despite
its advantage.
Slide 4 | Be mindful of your actions. It is important for an individual to be well-aware of the safety
precautions to avoid further involvement in technological malfeasance.
Slide 5 | Here are 9 tips on how to stay safe online:
Slide 6 | 1. Password Development:
Slide 7 | Passwords are one of the biggest weak spots in the whole Internet security structure, but there's
currently no way around them.
The issue with passwords is that people tend to choose ones that were easy to remember (such as
"password" and "123456"), thus making cyber thieves easily access the user’s account.
Slide 8 | A strong password is at least 8 – 15 characters in length
Includes a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
And is not using sequenced words or numbers, like “qwerty”.
It must be well regarded that upon building a secure password, it’s needed to be complex and
Unique, to avoid a possible online breach.
Slide 9 | 2. Practice safe browsing by only visiting Secure and Credible Websites:
Slide 10 | Don’t even think about clicking a link from an undetermined user.
Cybercriminals use lurid content as bait. They know users are tempted by dubious content and
may let their guard down when searching for it.
Likewise, this also involves making an online purchase.
Slide 11| Before shopping online, make sure the website uses secure technology.
When you are at the checkout screen, verify that the web address begins with HTTPS and check
to see if a tiny locked padlock symbol appears on the page.
Slide 12| Another point to consider is by reading the site’s privacy policies.
Despite complexity, it verifies the user’s security upon visiting their website, ensuring that there’s
no possible access to the individual’s personal information.
Slide 13 | 3. Firewall Set Up:
Slide 14 | What is a firewall?
Firewalls secure the provision of protection against cyber attackers by shielding your network
against unnecessary network traffic.
Slide 15| Its necessity must be well regarded as it is a tool that one can use to protect their website/network.
It can be configured from certain locations, applications, or ports while allowing relevant and
necessary data in access. Its category includes hardware and software (OS).
Slide 16| 4. Use Non-Track Search Engines, Be careful what you click online:
One of the hacker’s techniques on leading you to their domain is by knowing your preference.
Slide 17 | Bots are the operators of the search engine, and they eagerly monitor your search history by
which will justify their guesses on your interest.
They’ll keep recommending content that is the same in the genre to your likes before user
convenience.
Slide 18 | Hackers manipulate this process by creating bots that can cover for them. Once they gain insight
on the list of preferences, they would immediately provide links that would only guide you to
their fraud propaganda.
Furthermore, we must be mindful of whatever we’re clicking online.
Slide 19 | 5. Be careful of who you meet online, thus Do Not Overshare Information:
Slide 20 | It’s about professionalism and being precise. Potential employers or customers do need to know
about your expertise and professional background, and not of your personal information and
home address. You wouldn't hand purely personal information out to strangers individually -
don't hand it out to millions of people online.
Slide 21 | In terms of posting content, the Internet does not have a delete key. There’s no guarantee any
comment or image you post online is permanently removed since it does not remove any copies
that other people could’ve made. Hence, sharing of content must be scrutinized before displaying
it on your profile.
Slide 22 | 6. Update Your Software and Keep your Anti-Virus up to date:
Slide 23 | Viruses are up to date, hence make sure that your Software is too. Anti-Viruses can’t keep abreast
of the newly developed malware, which it is important to regularly check for updates.
Slide 24 | 7. Make Sure our Internet Connection is Secure. Use a Secure VPN Connection and Keep Privacy
Settings ON.
Slide 25 | Online places with public Wi-Fi connections don’t offer you direct control over their security.
Slide 26 | Make sure your device is secure, when in doubt, wait for a better time before providing
information such as your bank account number.
Slide 27 | To further improve your Internet browsing safety, use a secure VPN connection, it enables you to
have a secure connection between your device and an Internet server.
Slide 28 | Moreover, both web browsers and mobile operating systems have settings available to protect
your privacy online. Major websites like Facebook also have privacy-enhancing settings
available. These settings are often hard to find because companies want your personal
information for its marketing value. Make sure you have enabled these privacy safeguards, and
keep them enabled.
Slide 29 | With these Tips applied, we are able to engage in a secured web-based interaction.

1. How important is the mail merge feature of Microsoft Word in different organization?
The Microsoft mail merge’s significance to various organizations is its desirable features that were considered
beneficial to any affiliates. It is characterized as a useful tool, in a sense that it lets you reserve an input of your
chosen recipients, by inserting your data based on these categories; First Name, Last Name, Title, Address etc.
Furthermore, as you establish your letter in the document, it minimizes your time. With that, we can discern it as
an essential tool for associations, since they are immersed in day-to-day transactions that are in need of letters to
compromise. Rather than spending time in duplicating documents, the mail merge feature will help them utilize
their schedule for other propagandas and events.
2. Why does label generation important in creation a mail merge document?
Label generation has a provision of ready to use template for the user which justifies its significance. Its
feature/attribute is for the convenience of an individual to minimize his/her time upon working on a certain
document. There’s no need of aligning elements since it is already provided, all that’s needed is the data.
Furthermore, you don’t have to type or form a document because it is already pre-formatted in the Microsoft
word.
3. Describe in what ways you can manage the recipient’s list.
To start with, you must have a reserved folder for the recipients’ list and must label them accordingly. Depending
on their classification; may be a class, group, team or an organization/affiliate. Likewise, the data you input on the
recipient list must also be utilized – in a way that you customize your columns based on the fields of your
preference that is for you’re the type of letter you’re making. Consequently, your documents and recipient list are
easy to navigate. It’s all about labelling your files and archives properly.
4. Give an instance where it would be better to use the feature of Microsoft Word in labelling envelopes.
In terms of labelling, it’s features may be functional to (of course) labelling envelopes that is to be dispatched to
another organization. The content may be memorandums, agreements, notices, etc. that will address as a form of
compensation. It is also useful for normal letters, ones on the post office to be sent for a very special person.
Additionally, not only that it is disposable for letters, it is also helpful for business cards. Likewise,

1. What are the advantages of using different kinds of materials to your document? Are these features helpful in
enhancing your work?
A document with only texts as its content, it may seem to be static. Engaging with other elements, will drive the
attention of your audience. It is regarded as an advantage in a way that these elements contain interactive
components that may be pleasing to your reader’s discernment, since it fully satisfies their comprehension of the
article/content being red. Yes, it is helpful in enhancing my work considering that it provides appeal with the use
of pictures, shapes and figures. Moreover, it will justify the point of my argument or claim (if there’s any), due to
the fact that one may not be able to support his/her point without the use of evidence. Photos may represent as an
evident verification, thus gives contribution to whatever I’m trying to present.
2. What are some ways you can use to acquire images that can be inserted in a Word Document?
Technically speaking, one can acquire images through the internet. It may be obtained from Google, once
downloaded, it can be seen in the selected folder for the location. Opening your Microsoft document, upper left of
the tabs – you can see one labelled “Insert”. Once clicked, locate a labelled icon – “pictures”, clicking it will show
you a drop-down option, and press “this device”. It gives you the chance of navigating your downloaded picture,
and when found, click insert. The photo will automatically inset on the document, then changing its picture format
for you to adjust it accordingly to your content. Microsoft itself has another way, (same procedure, Insert >
Pictures >) you can look at pictures with the use of its “Online Picture” option which leads you directly to the
web, searching the photo of your choice and directly inserting it into your document.
3. Describe the steps on how you are able to transfer your pictures to your computer?
In transferring pictures to your computer, there are 3 considerable ways (according to what I know); transferring
via USB from another device, through the internet using emails, chats of any social platform, and downloading
from the web in a certain website. Through USB, only connect the foreign device with the use of chord or
Bluetooth, yet one must install an application that would secure the system of the computer. In emails, chats –
simply navigate the icon that would enable you to send the photo, locate your picture and send / either way, click
the photo for you to download and use it for your content. Furthermore, those are just simple ways on how I
transfer my pictures to my computer.

A How important an Aerobic Exercise and Muscle-and-Bone Strengthening Exercise as a way of promoting
physical fitness and health in each person’s life especially this time of pandemic?
During this pandemic, one must consider his/her health as a priority. I do believe that Aerobic and Muscle-and-
Bone strengthening exercise is a necessity in promoting one’s physical fitness and health especially in this time of
the pandemic. Well in what way? Looking at the benefits that an individual may gain upon performing it, the
exercise promotes cardiovascular, respiratory health and contributes to the muscle and bone structures as well by
strengthening it, avoiding any weakening casualties. Giving a more in-depth to the first two mentioned; the
occurrence of the virus and its transmission caused sickness to anyone who acquires it. The symptoms that one
manifests include coughs and difficulty in breathing because it triggers respiration and degrades your level of
oxygen. So now we connect the exercise with this. As said, it promotes health, right? So that includes your
immunity, cardiovascular and most importantly, respiration. A study in the British Journal of Sports Medicine
does suggest that routine activity may help people who get COVID-19 from becoming seriously ill. For these
reasons, the US physical activity guidelines and the American Heart Association recommend at least 150 minutes
of moderate physical activity weekly. So that’s my statement on validating the importance of Aerobic Exercise
and Muscle-and-Bone Strengthening Exercise. That’s all.

A. How does stress affect an individual?
Stress as it is causes disruption to the stability of a mental and physical health aspect of an individual.
Furthermore, one is agitated by stress doesn’t only involve mental complications, it also triggers the physical
aspect since both are interrelated notions. To stipulate; Stressors usually drives stress from occurring and can be
considered positive or negative stress. If well-handled, positive stress has its presence, which is regarded as a
good thing since it enhances our productivity and satisfaction. On the contradicting side, if not immediately
regarded or handled, hence it results in negative stress which can confound the mental state of an individual. It's
from the mind, at first, feelings are manifested. When one is not able to tolerate it, it brings up anxiety. In the
worst-case scenario, physical aspects are then involved; it may be heart palpitations, muscle pains, a sleep
disorder that can cause major complications to one’s body. Depression leads to self-harm, if not treated
immediately. Others may be able to handle it because of optimistic practice or nature, yet not all have a good
resistance towards stress. I cannot assuredly say how can it affect an individual, due to uncertainty. But if we
perceive the scenario that most people have to endure. Moreover, stress can cause both physical and mental
casualties in a person.
B. Are you stressed or not? Why or why not? How will you handle your stress?
I can’t assuredly say that I am stressed. Just had this inevitable thought of me not deserving of saying “I’m
stressed”, where I am. Perceiving the occurrence of stress in my well-being, I ought to know of it as minor acute
stress yet it is building up to have a capability of developing a long-lasting type of stress. The grounds of my
stress are pressure and fear. Because I’m on the verge of early adulthood, one must be able to do things that may
determine them as “young adults”. One is far from that, as to the fact that I keep on comparing myself to others,
and that’s when self-pressure comes in. One is very sensitive and easily overwhelmed with her surroundings.
Though my parents tend to say that I must make things easier, it’s hard to contain myself. I had a feeling that one
is “too late” for everything. The fear of being left out by everyone and not knowing anything at all. Lately, I push
myself to do things harder just for me to be able to comprehend teens my age, and for me to be in the same level
as them. And thus, was not aware that it’s stressing me out. I have few minimal headaches and felt cloudy all the
time. Answering the query on How am I going to handle my stress, I don’t know what to do. Maybe keeping a
diary will help, or trying to avoid my phone will help solve the problem. I can’t just simply talk it out to other
people, I had the fear of being judged hence will cause another stress. Maybe the only option for me is to
surrender myself to God. Instead of handling things myself, asking Him for help would be a good thing. Because
frankly, I don’t know what to do.

1. How can you improve the level of your physical fitness?
Physical fitness is a state of one’s well-being and more specifically, it is the ability to perform various sports,
occupations, and daily activities with endurance and efficiency. Its importance is associated with the person’s
health, as it maintains an individual’s stability of welfare in terms of physical and mental health. Likewise, its
basis is on the performance of your body systems, hence to improve the level of your physical fitness, one must
organize a utilized schedule of day-to-day exercises and physical activities. For starters, an example of this may
be simple mobile exertions that we usually do in our daily grind, like walking or running. Leveling up the
intensity, one can implement Aerobic Exercises, which is a repetitive integration of various movements. By
ruminating comprehensible actions, you can utilize unnecessary body fats and would eventually improve your
endurance and agility. Knowing that assessment of physical fitness test tends to measure your body capacity,
hence by simply implementing performances (e.g., exercises that may improve your cardiovascular,
cardiorespiratory, muscular endurance such as aerobic exercises, weight-bearing activities, etc.) will gradually
increase your level of physical fitness.
2. Why do you need to know & evaluate your physical fitness results?
Once again, physical fitness is the measurement of one’s physical stability and endurance, to determine the
strengths and to assess the things that require further development. It is important to know your physical fitness
results since it will provide you an insight of your present health, wellness, and condition. Simply putting it this
way; you are able to know what are the things that are beyond or below the normal health standard; an example
would be the BMI assessment – which will provide you your weight stats, whether you are below or above the
normal standard. Waist circumference also does the same thing, zipper tests that evaluates your flexibility, step
tests to measure your cardiovascular endurance, etc. Through Evaluating, you can improve your lifestyle by
establishing a utilized schedule of diets and practices associated with your results to achieve much healthier
living, and further enhancing your day-to-day performances by delivering your works with efficiency.
