Use appropriate thickness spacers (2) and (3) to get a bearing rolling torque of 6.03 ± 2.6 N·m (4.44 ±
1.9 lb ft). This adjustment should be done without oil seal (6).

(4) Apply 1U-8846 Gasket Maker on mating surfaces of cage and housing.

Apply 5P-3413 Sealant on the inner surface of cage where seal (6) installs.

(5) Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock on threads of bolts.

Torque for bolts ... 33.3 ± 3 N·m (24 ± 2 lb ft)

(6) Lubricate the seal lip with a small amount of grease being sealed.

(7) Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to the splines of carrier and shaft before installation of
carrier.
