What really happened…


Case 1: Emergency Declared
The crew declared an emergency upon descent
for low oil pressure on the engine and shut down
the engine. Upon inspection maintenance found
they were missing the shaft O-ring. The engine
was put on 50hr watch with no further problems
noted.

Case 2: In the Nick of Time


The crew declared an in flight emergency and
shut down the engine. Low oil pressure was
detected. The aircraft landed without any further
events. Maintenance replaced the packing on
