Retrofitting Strategies for SDGs - A Way Forward

Sustainable Development Goals is representative of the desire of countries to cooperate in order to protect mankind and planet along with achieving
prosperity which would make the world a fairer, better and safer place by 2030. The 17 SDGs, which aims at achieving sustainable development in its three
dimensions - economic, social and environmental, is a universal road-map which should shape policies of States and guide corporates in their functioning. SDGs
are a great collective journey which transcends national boundaries and underlines the need for all to collaborate to make a difference in the lives of each human
being. The progress in achieving SDGs remains uneven, and is not moving fast enough to meet the ambitious 17 goals on poverty, health, and equality by 2030.
Given this reality, Mount Carmel College, Autonomous in its Platinum Jubilee year hosts an International Conference, "Retrotting Strategies for SDGs - A Way
Forward". The conference will look at the current status of SDGs and put forward strategies to achieve the SDGs by 2030.

The International Conference on Sustainable Development is organized to identify and address the critical challenge of human, environmental, and
economic sustainability concerning the present and future generations in a global-scale context. The conference aims to host a plethora of speakers and
researchers who have carried out creditable work in the eld of Environmental Sustainability. This interdisciplinary forum is for scholars, teachers, and
practitioners from any professional discipline who share an interest in and concern for sustainability in a holistic perspective, where environmental, cultural,
economic and social concerns intersect.
