SCENARIO

Many people enjoy travelling. They seek for new areas such as dynamic metropolis, cozy little
villages, and beautiful surroundings such as beaches and woods. For years, the tourism sector
has evolved and grown as people travel the world in search of unique experiences and activities.
Tourism is travel for leisure, recreational and business purposes that is essential and high in
demand human activity that deserves the praise and support of all citizens and the government.
The tourism sector extends its services by offering transportation, lodging, food, and
entertainment with security up until the period of stay is through.

Assuming you are a junior multimedia development team with strong mobile application
development skills and experience working on a variety of application development projects at
Denali Technology Services, a well-known company with a strong reputation for developing
mobile applications for many famous Malaysian companies and organizations. Your team is
assigned to build a mobile application to promote domestic travel and tourism.

TASK

This is a group assignment (3 members per group). This assignment is designed to provide
learners the opportunity to exhibit their abilities to build relationships, work with teams and lead
teams. Your team need to propose a mobile application system that will help promote
domestic travel and tourism that will help the client to reduce their workload, build positive
customer interactions, expand their market reach, and increase their sales and revenue. Each
member needs to be assigned as a project leader for system function, system database and
system design. These 3 leaders need to produce and submit a project proposal report based on
the format given below:

GRADING

The marks will be allocated as below:


1. Report Proposal : 35 marks
2. Lecturer Evaluation : 15 marks
Total marks : 50 marks
Sub Total marks : 30 marks

Within a group, all members will initially earn individual marks in evaluation for leadership,
responsibility and autonomy skills. However, rubric will also be provided for lecturer to evaluate the
overall report proposal. If someone is consistently identified as did not contributing to the group,
that person’s score will be adjusted accordingly.
