Palace

Buckingham Palace is one of the few working royal


p a l a c e s r e m a i n i n g i n t h e w o r l d t o d a y. B u c k i n g h a m

London, as well as her administrative headquarters.

I t ’s b e s t t o t i m e y o u r v i s i t t o s e e C h a n g i n g t h e
Guard, a popular free event which takes place
outside Buck ingham Palace on cer tain days from
10.45am and lasts around 45 minutes, with the
actual handover taking place at 11am.

Inside, there's a giant bell weighing 13 tons,


announcing the time every 15 minutes.

antiquities, the British Museum contains more than
13 million artifacts from the ancient world.

London Eye

Built to mark London's millennium celebrations in


2000, the London Eye is Europe's largest
obser vation wheel. Its individual glass capsules
o ff e r t h e m o s t s p e c t a c u l a r v i e w s o f t h e c i t y 4 4 3 f e e t
above the Thames.
